    They did the installation of fridge. I had an annual warranty, but within 4 months I was having problems with the fridge. They came right out and said that everything was fine, but to give them a call if something else were to come up. I haven't had a problem since.

    Will not do business with this company again since they are unresponsive to my needs. I have had nothing but problems with the freezer. Repairmen have been out 4 or 5 times and nothing has happened. We no longer trust Kitchenaid and I will never buy another product from Goedeker's.

    Do you actually need the appliance that you intend to purchase?  Do you have job or family commitments that keeps you busy for even a few minutes a day between 8 am and 5 pm?  If the answer to either of these is yes, I suggest you purchase your appliances elsewhere.  Best Buy is right down the street and they do a much better job at a comparable price.  Sadly it is my experience that Goedekers is incapable of either completing a job or accommodating their customers' schedules in a timely fashion.
    I purchased a new oven from Goedekers in May.  It is now July and my oven installation is STILL not completed.  The company just called to say that they had lost the measurements for a SECOND time and needed me to block out an entire day for the THIRD time to take the measurements again.  Of course they still have to order the trim kit, receive it and make me block out a FOURTH day to finally complete the installation.  I get the feeling I will be lucky if everything is finished by August.

    Scheduling and reliability are huge  problems with this company. 

    At the time of sale, Goedekers scheduled a first appointment to measure the existing wall oven cavity to make sure the oven would fit and to order the trim kit.  My day was open as my kids were still in school in May.  When it came time to actually install the oven, scheduling became much more problematic.  For the month of June my child needed to be dropped off at camp at 9 am and picked up at noon.  Not so difficult right?  Just schedule me in the afternoon.  Unfortunately that is not an option.  You cannot request a time of day - only a day which will be scheduled at the convenience of their service men's route.  You will find out the night before if it will work or not.  Unless I wanted to wait until July for installation, I had to hire someone to be at my house because the they scheduled the installation during the morning which I had told them was inconvenient.  Of course the installer did not arrive until the afternoon, but at least he showed up with the oven.  The trim kit was missing and in fact had not even been ordered so he took the measurements a second time.  It was now the middle of June.  I called Goedekers two weeks later to find out what was taking so long.  No one called back until July to admit that the measurements had been lost yet again.  They were calling to schedule someone to come out to take the measurements.  Wait?didn't we do this in May and then again in June and now you are telling me that you have to do this a third time in July?!  Do you know how to complete an appliance installation?  Do you ever intend to do it?  Your company has no respect for my home or my time - you just want my money.  If anyone from Goedekers actually reads this, I hope you will understand that you are losing sales and customers because of your horrendous customer service.

    DESIGN We were very pleased with the design work from Adrea Jones and will work with her again on our next project. She not only had her own "vision" but worked with us when her vision and ours didn't perfectly match up: she listened, she responded, she understood. Because this was a remodel, there were some tricky parts to figure out, she really worked the details.
    CABINETS We ordered cabinets and appliances from RSI. One cabinet and another piece were badly damaged upon arrival - both were replaced without question. Deadlines were met. Quality is good. 
    We are happy to recommend the services of RSI, we will definitely be back for a second project.

    The last item to go in our gutted kitchen was the gas cook top and slide in oven under the counter.  Our sales guy Rex gave us a choice of a few cook tops that he said would work with the oven.   We picked a Dacor unit.   It turns out no cook top will work with our oven....his words...his afternoon!
    When we had trouble I called Rex twice for calls returned so I went into the showroom.  He said he would need to do some research.  He called back this afternoon and told us no cook top will work with the oven unless we want to rebuild/lower the opening and modify the standard method.  I asked who should pay for the extra labor and he said not him.
    I gave them a complete set of plans of our kitchen, a 3D rendering and blue prints when we were picking out appliances.  Now he said we should have had a site survey but did not mention it at the time of purchase.  He said their people would have gotten it right but he did not figure out until this afternoon that the oven would not work.   He didn't know, the instructions were followed to a T so how could anybody build it right?  
    Goedekers saw the plans and advised us what would work and now they have no responsibly. They got smurks on their face when they said it was my problem.  So the next time you see 'ol Steve say they are "closed on Sunday, the Lords day" keep in mind how they stand behind what the sell!
    PS - The fridge has had two service calls and the dish washer just stopped on the second run, both GE Profile.

    Overall the whole experience has been one frustrating nightmare of sending faxes and getting little or no response. The only response I got was from Mr. Frank Brock who called me back after receiving a fax (8/18/2011) from me explaining the problem and the lack of response on the part of his company to my situation. He was rude, angry and generally uncivil.He stated that the part for the dishwasher had still not been ordered because his employees had other things to do. There were several faxes sent by me and there was no response to any of them. Eventually, I made a formal complaint to the Better Business Bureau on 8/30/2011 since it had been almost 2 weeks since their visit on 8/15/2011 and they didn't seem to want to correct the situation. In my complaint with the BBB I stated that a desired solution would be if they provided me with a correct or corrected manual so that I could operate the machine once it was fixed and that I wanted a letter of apology directly from Mr. Brock apologizing for his rude behavior on the phone. As of today 9/1/2011 I have not received either the manual or the letter of apology from Frank Brock. After filing the complaint with the BBB I did get a form letter thanking me for purchasing an appliance from them with no signature and a call (8/29/2011) saying the part was in and they wanted to make an appointment to install it. On 9/1/2011 I faxed Mr. Brock and told him that because of his rude behavior over the phone, the resistance to ordering the machine part and his refusal to provide me a correct or corrected manual for the dishwasher I don't trust him or his agents to fix my dishwasher. We will be using another appliance repair service to fix the machine and will attempt monetary compensation for nonperformance including, but not necessarily limited to parts and labor that we will be paying to a third party. We also are asking for the correct manual for the machine and a letter of apology from Mr. Frank Brock for his rude, uncivil and neglectful behavior toward us.

    Every time we need a new appliance, I price shop and then remember the great service we get from that little local company. I typically do my research but got discouraged trying to sort through the voice mail directories of larger stores. Then I called Slyman. They have a real commitment to excellent communication and good pricing. I called on Tuesday and the new freezer was delivered Thursday at 8:00 in the morning. They took the old one away for no extra charge. We have bought several appliances there and mostly over the phone. I like to be able to call and talk to a real person!
