    Wenger Plumbing & Appliance Installation
I have used Wenger Plumbing at two of my residences for water heater installations and various plumbing upgrades and repairs. Everything was TOP NOTCH - response time, communications, reasonable pricing, plumbing skills and knowledge, trouble-shooting, neatness. I highly recommend this company.

Mr Rooter Plumbing of Columbia Missouri
Jimmie has done all of our work, and he's outstanding. Always professional, prompt and friendly. He takes the time to answer questions and goes above and beyond to make sure things are done right. We had a problem with a subcontractor and I was really impressed with how Jimmie handled the situation. Long story short, he did everything in his power to fix their mistakes and make things right. I highly recommend Mr. Rooter and continue to use them for not only my home, but also my offices in Columbia.

    J B Plumbing
Of the 3 J B Plumbing was the only one to show up. One did the estimate over the phone with text pictures (which is OK but in person gives you a better feel for the person you are working with. We also had a leak in the wall behind the water heater that needed addressed. Joey showed up and assessed the water heater and confirmed it needed replaced and looked at the wall and offered to open up the wall to track the leak. He quoted a price with them supplying a water heater which was about 200 under the other plumber and answered my questions. I wanted a water heater with a bit more of a warranty so he agreed he would install one if I purchased it. He was not able to install that day so he had someone call me to set up an appointment. When they did, they offered to even pick up the water heater for us. I was able to purchase the heater and have it in the house for when he arrived. He went straight to work, removed the old heater and cleaned up the mess that was under it. He then cut a small hole in the wall and immediately identified the source of the leak and said it wouldn't cost much to fix. After repairing the pipe, he installed the water heater and pressure tank and then explained all the different features once it was in place. He was clean and professional. I am more than pleased with the work and would hire him again.

    MasterTech Inc
I gave my Wife the information for MasterTech from the water heater vendors website so she could call and setup and appointment. She call right after I left for work on Wednesday. The person that answered the phone said someone could be at the house shortly and that there would be a $55.00 trip charge for evaluating the warranted water heater.
Corey arrived around 9:15 and preceeded to diagnose the problem. In a short time he determined that the thermal expansion tank bladder had ruptured due to excessive water pressure. He recommended replacing the main water supply pressure regulator, restrict the pressure to approximately 60 PSI and replace the expansion tank. He quoted my wife a price. At that point she tried to call me at work to ask me if I thought the quote was fair but was unable to contact me. She reluctantly authorized the repair and the work was completed in short order. The work order shows that it was completed at 10:30. Approximately 1 hour and 15 minutes total since Corey arrived.
When I arrived home I reviewed the invoice and the work that was done and nearly fell over. $720.67. I looked up the replacement parts and their cost retail. Pressure regulator was $95.20 and the expansion tank was $33.64 for a total of $128.84 + $55.00 trip charge.
That means that the labor charge was $536.83 for an hour. This is absolutely nuts!
I have no problem with the quality of the parts or service but feel that my wife (who is a senior) was over charged. Charges were not accounted for in detail. Just a description of work and a price. If she would have had a breakdown on the replacement parts she definately would have questioned the total repair price.
We will never use this company again and will tell everyone we know our experience.

    Roto-Rooter Plumbing & Water Cleanup
Called on a Sunday - came out and provided a temporary fix. Came back the very next morning to complete the work. Al little late getting to our place but certainly well within the specified time frame (Centurytel could learn a thing or two from these guys). Worked very well with my home-owners warranty service over the telephone. Very professional. Worked diligently and expeditiously. Replaced a 6 year old A.O Smith water heater which started leaking from the top of the tank (just out of it's 6 year old warranty). Removed old water heater. Brought all connections up to current code. Explained everything in a manner easy to understand. I have had MUCH WORSE experiences from other plumbing services (Mastertech - where I had to fix their mistakes and I am not a plummer). Cleaned everything up at the end and the installation looked great.
I would recommend and use again without hesitation.

    Air & Water Solutions Inc
They told me it needed to be replaced and they could get on it ASAP. I was shot an estimate of nearly $1100. Unacceptable. I ask how much it would be if I provided the hot water heater and was told the installation would in the $600 range. I ended up getting the job done for $675 including the price of the heater. I will never use these guys again. Thanks for nothing Angie.

    Wenger Plumbing & Appliance Installation
Old man with a beer belly was farting and talking about all the beautiful women and how he shouldn't drink so much beer because that's why he has gas. Younger mixed man said the house looks good on the outside but that's about it. Very unprofessional.

    Air & Water Solutions Inc
Everything was perfect from the first call to the final product installed. When I called, I just wanted to schedule someone to look at our current model and give us an estimate, but I wasn't expecting it to be anytime soon since I wasn't committed to replacement yet. To my surprise, Rodney came out within 20 minutes of my phone call and had an estimate ready in writing within two hours of my call. The installation was scheduled promptly, and Stacy even helped with the scheduling via email over the weekend. The installer was punctual, professional and knowledgable. He showed us everything of importance with the new model and cleaned thoroughly before leaving. I was very happy with the price considering the added value to our home with this upgrade. This was my second time using AWS, and I'll continue to use them and recommend them in the future.

I contacted AWS and set up an appointment for two days later on a non-emergency issue. Another highly rated plumbing company had taken a month to do nothing after their initial visit to look at my drain and hear that I wanted maintenance on my water heater.
AWS called and said they were available earlier, so it ended up to be next day service.
Chris from AWS called when he was on his way, so there was no waiting around for them. He started flushing my instant water heater and looked at the drain (it is a rare high end Kohler custom part). As he was calling suppliers to find a replacement, he figured out and repaired the part himself. Since the heater maintenance took a half hour, Chris used that time to repair the drain. Whatever I and the other plumber expected the drain to cost, it ended up costing zero.
I am VERY happy. It could not have gone any better in service and price. Chris's initiative and mechanical ability is impressive.

    Wallace Plumbing
I chose Wallace because of their excellent Angie's reviews.
I have a pop-up drain in an upscale Kohler sink/vanity which became stuck closed and for routine maintenance on an instant water heater. Wallace came out and looked at the drain a month ago, and I have not heard from them since. I called last week and was told that and quot;the guy that does that is on vacation but I'll look on his desk and call you back; I know he tried to call you, but there was no answer.and quot; I called back AGAIN today and asked for Dale, and was told the same story, apparently it is Dale who is on vacation. When I reminded him that he was supposed to call back last week after looking at and quot;his deskand quot;, the man said and quot;OKand quot;. I told the man that I'd just call another plumber, and again the man said and quot;OKand quot;.
Everyone makes mistakes or drops the ball occasionally. It is how you handle mistakes that makes the difference. In the technological world we now live, and quot;the dog ate my homeworkand quot; excuse is no longer accepted. Wallace should try and quot;Oh, I'm sorryand quot;.
