We've been taking our 2 dogs and 3 cats to them for about 5 years now. Our first experience with them impressed me so I decided to stick with them. They've always treated our animals with kindness and patience. Our dogs are always happy to greet them and we've always felt comfortable around them. As a former vet tech(while in Nebraska, not in Missouri) I tend to be picky on who treats our pets, but I've only seen excellent technique and professionalism with that necessary human touch that lets you know they care. We don't have a favorite vet because we've had a good experience with all of them. Most of the time our dogs don't even realize they've been vaccinated. They are knowledgeable and good at listening to any concerns. They're good at greeting and interacting with our pets. They're also good natured and willing to answer any questions we've had. I find their prices about average for the area if that's a consideration for you. I trust these people with our pet family members.

I had a fine experience several times and then disaster. One groomer in particular appears to be a problem. She took initiative and stopped just short of shaving my dog and cut off her entire mane without consulting me. The dog looks terrible and her undercoat is coming out by the handful. The undercoat issue is why I took her to the groomer in the first place. When I returned (having arranged and appt) to have her properly brushed, as I'd originally requested, the groomer refused and threatened to shave my dog. Will never go back. Do not give these people your business. Very, very rude and just terrible service. (NB: This business is not actually located on Buttonwood anymore. It's now on Forum. It's the same business. I called to verify.)

I had a absolutely awful experience here yesterday!! We will never come back. I will be telling everyone I know not to come either! The vet who helped us... was completely unprofessional. Made my mother even cry!!! Because she didnt like the COLOR of our dog. Completely unbelievably RUDE. She not only lectured us in the examination room. She proceeded to continuously Express her hate for our dogs COLOR in the lobby in front of her staff and clients. Even after we told her several times that we got it!!! You dont like our dogs color.. she kept doing it repeatedly until Mother started crying. Once my mother started crying she realized she had went way to far. I can not express just how UPSET I am about my visit. I will be posting about my experience EVERYWHERE! My mother cried for over 3 hours because of the things she said. She was very CRUEL! Nothing like shoving your opinions down someone elses throat!

I went on vacation for two weeks after shortly moving into the area and knowing nobody here; Jill is great and I'm glad we hired her. Two of my cats have special needs, and she was able to care for them as they needed and sent us email updates (with pictures), which was a big relief. Will definitely hire again if we need to go out of town!

AWFUL "DO NOT" TAKE YOUR ANIMALS HERE 12/12/2015 my 10 year old 7 lb mini poodle was traumatized, all indications by his behavior says he was mistreated.  Cowarded, kept turning his head to the right, did not want to be held, acted very afraid, this is "NOT" how my little guy acts.  When I returned to pick up my friend and over heard, Jocelyn was not aware I was standing there, while she talked to my furry friend in a very mean and hateful tone as if she were scolding him while waiting to pick him up.  Jocelyn (owner) is the person who groomed  my furry friend .  Informed Jocelyn he is a handful and does not like his face hair or his feet to be clipped before being groomed.  Jocelyn could have called me if my friend was too much for her to handle, I would have come to pick him up right away.  Terrible haircut and he did not smell like his fur had just been shampooed.  I plan to follow up with Angie's list and the Bureau of licensing to file a complaint.  I will not be taking my little guy to this place again.
Follow up-it is Sunday and my little friend will not move around.  He is not his usual happy doggy wagging his tail and getting  excited when he sees me  after I came home from church.
Fur friend holds his head to the right and cried in pain when I picked him up.  He is not acting normal and  I will be taking him to the vet Monday morning.
******My sister Holly Peterson owns the dog and is the one who took him to 4 Paws to be groomed.  I am writing this review because my sister lives with me along with her little furry friend and has a very kind caring heart and stays away from conflict.

The customer service was very bad. They were very rude. They were rough with my dog. When I dropped my dog off they grabbed him by the back of the neck and threw him into a kennel. They then called me at work in the middle of the day and told me I had to come and pick up my dog immediately and they were not going to groom him.

I highly recommend them for grooming. And they have a daycare, an animal daycare. They kennel them but they also have a yard and they take them out every so often during the day and they get to run in the yard. The veterinarians are very professional. I actually did an internship there for one semester and they are the most professional vets that I have ever seen. Any animal that comes in, they treat the animal as if it was their own.

Due to the advanced age of my pets it is difficult and stressful for them to go to a remote vet so of course the convenience of a home visit is much appreciated. Vet is very nice and clearly is an animal lover. She was prompt and fairly well organized, however; she told me prior to making the appointment that the exam included one shot but when she learned they were up to date on rabies shot, she offered no alternative shot. She was too timid for us and my dogs are not at all aggressive or difficult. Perhaps if she had an examining table and a more authoritative demeanor my animals would have been more cooperative. As it was we ended up sitting on the floor with her desperately trying to draw blood. She took far too long positioning the tourniquet and needle insertion with virtually no hold on the leg and of course both dogs jerked and she had difficulty obtaining blood samples. The exam for the cat was pretty much a visual one as she was scared of my old gtumpy cat who can spot a pushover in s heartbeat. She was interested in their diet. I feed all meat, no grain, organic food with daily supplement of fish oil She criticized the food and especially the fish oil--much to my dismay. All in all, I felt I spent a lot of money for a very nice lady to come to my house, stay a long time (2 hours plus) , talk about my pets but do very little hands on examinstion. What she managed to do was with timidity, trepidation, and caution. I was probably not the best "assistant" but I felt compelled to help her as she had no control. My two dogs and one cat certainly made the must of her nervousness. In a vets office each is very cooperative, calm and respectful of the vet. I learned she trains animals for agility. Perhaps that is a better calling. So very nice, but frankly rather inept and I felt that my pets had very little in the way of a thorough exam. I think she is not well experienced yet and perhaps with more time she will excel. Certainly her heart is in the right place.

Dr. Davis is so calm and compassionate with the animals. She took care of our aging dog when he was at the end of his life. She was great to us and to him. With our new dog she is equally caring. I trust her to take good care of her. If our dog needs treatment she gives us all the options and recommendations. I never feel rushed when I am there. She is extremely knowledgeable and honest.
The office staff is very efficient and friendly. I have no problem making an appointment and my wait time is never unreasonable. The office is clean and well kept.
    Highly recommend!

Everything went great! I appreciated that Jill met with me in advance to meet me and my cat. She stayed in touch in the days leading up to my trip, and sent me updates and photos while I was away. I came home to a very content kitty. I could tell someone had taken the time to play with her, not just fill her food bowl and leave. It was worth every penny to know that someone reliable was taking care of my pet while I was away. I'll definitely be using her company again!
