    Maxcare Carpet Cleaning & Repair
I entered into TL;DR territory writing this, so in short: do yourself a favor and call MaxCare. I'm so glad my basement filled with sewage. I'm not kidding, and you probably think that's weird, but let me explain... My story begins on what should have been a carefree and relaxing weekend. My husband was out of town and I was getting ready to hunker down and binge on The Voice. Cue epically pootastic sewer backup. After the plumber took care of the blocked pipes, I called MaxCare to see about cleaning up the poopocalypse in my basement. Rob was there within the hour and went straight to work sanitizing the hard surfaces and carting away the affected carpet. Never in my life have I met a man so passionate about carpet cleaning than Rob. I started calling him for my home needs after he did great cleaning at a couple of my offices in town. I've had some emergencies in the past and he always responds super fast (very important when you have a surprise toilet overflow at a business!). The following week I met my new hero, Stephanie. Stephanie oversaw everything to come after the initial disaster. We had a LOT of things to deal with: refinishing wood paneling, replacing baseboards & flooring, re-painting walls (water travels y'all!), and the unfortunate discovery of asbestos. Yeah, I said asbestos. It was a real clusterfluff. Stephanie worked tirelessly day after day to make sure the job was done right with as little impact to our daily lives as possible. She coordinated all the subcontractors and really went the extra mile to make sure we were taken care of the whole way through. Stephanie also has this magic ability to make you feel like you're her only client. Anytime I had a question or concern, she responded quickly with answers, sometimes to questions I didn't even realize I had. She was also on the same plane as me as far as design went--anytime there was a question about where to put something, what color something should be, how to cover something, Stephanie's instincts were always in line with my own. Despite the unfortunate circumstance that began this whole ordeal, I am glad it happened for a few reasons. 1) our gross old Berber carpet is gone forever, 2) our new floors are beautiful, and 3) now I know Stephanie, the gal that can do anything! She saved my house and my sanity, and I would trust her with any job. I am eternally grateful!

    Neville & Son's Carpet Cleaning
They were very nice to deal with and they did an excellent job for steam cleaning. Be aware, however, that steam will not remove yellow pet urine stains. My carpets are clean and sanitized, but still look awful because of my puppy stains. There is no urine in the carpet, just stains from acid in the urine interacting with the fiber in the carpet.

    Neville & Son's Carpet Cleaning
They were responsive when calling to schedule, punctual and polite when cleaning the carpets, and did a great job overall. We have a large house, with lots of carpet - and we feel like we paid a fair price for a great service. We will definitely call Neville and Sons again.

    ZEROREZ
Came and looked at an initial $180 for cleaning. Turned out to be quoted $1400. $75 for a ten inch spot. Pricing was very cloudy and different than I anticipated. At the end of the day it was $575. I can still smell the dirt and dog urine they were supposed to clean up.

    Neville & Son's Carpet Cleaning
Kevin and his team did a great job!  He initially missed an appointment to provide us with an estimate, but we rescheduled and he made up for it the next  day and was even early.  Neville an Sons has an onsite rug cleaning service and Kevin took several of my carpets with him and delivered them on the day of service.  Pricing is good/fair, they were very professional, and they did a fantastic job. I would highly recommend Neville and Sons and will be using them again in the immediate future.

    Maxcare Carpet Cleaning & Repair
I can't say enough good things about this company. They are always so quick to respond, and go above and beyond with their service. They always do more than expected, whether it is treating the laminate like the last time I used them, or educating staff on how to properly spot clean the carpets in between cleanings. They are professional, responsive, and all around good people. I plan on using them for my personal residence in the future.

    Neville & Son's Carpet Cleaning
Both times they did a wonderful job!  Both Kevin, one of the owners who came out to give me an estimate the 1st time, & Patrick who lead the cleaning crew both times were informative & very courteous.  I was very happy w/the results when they finished because I actually thought some of the stains would not come up.  It looked better than the day we moved in :)

The service provided by Chris was carefully done with special attention to problem areas, just as you hope a job will be. The crew were courteous and efficient. I recommend this company. Next time I won't wait so long to give them a call.

    Doug's Chem-Dry Carpet Care
Update: Doug came out to my house and was very responsive and professional. He agreed to retreat the area even though it isn't clear whether the smell is from his treatment. I am very pleased with his response to my review. I changed my evaluation to reflect this.

    Earlier:
When I called Doug's Chem Dry I asked for a loose estimate on carpet cleaning for 3 bedrooms, a hallway, a dining room and living room in a 2100 square foot house, plus cleaning 2 recliners. The person I spoke to thought it would be around $300 or less.
When the carpet cleaner arrived he measured the house and then increased the estimate to about $400. Then he said, since I have pets, he recommended an additional treatment so the carpets wouldn't smell after the cleaning. That increased the estimate to $500. Then he recommended another treatment so the carpet wouldn't smell immediately after cleaning (for another $100) which I declined. So right off the bat the cost nearly doubled. When I questioned this he made a comment that he hates it when the people scheduling the service don't tell the homeowner about the odor treatment. I asked if they had included the Angie's list coupon and he said they did.
I would have cancelled right then, but I was expecting a group of houseguests in just a few days.
After spending all that money, the serviceman left white marks all over my baseboards and on the edge of my hardwood floors. They wiped up, but it was a pain to clean up - especially after I paid so much for the service.
Now, more than a month later, my carpets have a weird odor that doesn't seem to be dissipating.
