Bad. The actual problem wasn't properly diagnosed. P codes pointed to EGR valve, which they diagnosed as a sensor needed to be replaced. Also, they noticed that State Inspection was coming up, and said the rear brakes needed to be replaced. I have 3 kids in college all with high mileage cars. To save money, I do any work on the cars I'm capable of doing, and brakes are one of them. Since their was time, we took the car back to do the brakes. Turns out the brakes were fine, not even half worn down. Took the car to my mechanic in STL. The EGR P code was trying to show the car had an electric problem causing the car to race to 2000RPM in idle

The person who was to come give the bid was over a day late. He was to come on Friday evening and showed up on Sunday morning. The window washing service he quoted were quite reasonable. He also was a dealer for window tinting which we decided we needed and we didn't want to try to install ourselves. The cost of the window tinting was more than I expected, but the window washing was a good deal, so we signed up for both. Our house is about one year old, so they are new windows. The whole experience was not one I would wish on anyone. It took him three days to wash all the windows and install the tint on 14 windows, both of which were not done to quality standards or in a professional manner. My husband called him back to finish tinting the last 4 small windows and to come re-do some of the window tinting, and he still did not get all the windows clean. He also agreed to clean the screens and after he was done, some of them were full of fuzz, leaving them more dirty than when he began. I relied on Angie's List for this service and now wished I had not!

I felt a little nickel and dimed with the extra costs to diagnose the check engine light. An extra $29 to "clear it" and see if it happens again? I was fine paying the $50 to get it really checked out, but when they came back with nothing conclusive and wanted $29 to clear it, I was a bit annoyed.
But what frustrated me the most is the fact that I was never informed on what was going on with my car. I had to call them directly to know what was going on, what things were happening, whether or not my car was finished. Apparently it was a very busy day for them, but there is a certain level of professionalism that is expected.
    I won't return.

I sent an email to this dealership yesterday about the way one of there sales managers "Terry" talked to me. He called and left me a message today and once again showed his arrogant condescending attitude toward a 15 year customer. Instead of calling and maybe giving an apology all he did was want to tell me he has been with the company 30 years and no one has ever accused him of this before.

Well I guess that streak is over and maybe it time he moved on. Sounds like he too comfortable and feels he isn ever wrong. The problem is he a accused me of being a lier. His exact words to me was your word should mean something. Which in the context of our conversation meant he was accusing me of being a liar. My son may go forward with the purchase of the truck we looked at. That up to him. He is 22 and is in total control of what he buys. But as a customer who has purchased over 12 cars and trucks from this company and sent several others to buy from them well those days are over.

I know they have just changed owners and maybe that why Terry thinks he can do as he pleases and treat customers with no respect.

But as for me and as a business owner myself I would never put up with someone that did this to one of my customers. Being rude is never no be tolerated.

On a brighter side if the salesman named Brad, was as good as they come. If Brad goes to another dealership in the future I would not hesitate to purchase from him.

    Schilby's Tires & Wheels
I did comparison shop for the tires online & with other local tire stores. Schilby's tires gave me an excellent quote which was better than Tire Rack's online quote when you include installation cost. They were able to order the tire within 1 day. The only issue happened, when I went to get the tires on- the person has ordered 2 tires instead of 4. So I have to go back the next day to get all the tires on. It took them approximately 1.5 hours to Balance & put on new tires.
I asked them about alignment & they said my SUV don't need one as the tires they are taking off has even wearing.
Overall, it was a quick & excellent job. I really liked their honest opinion about the alignment. Will definitely return to the shop for my car's other needs.

    Big O Tires LLC
had a 04 sonata that had a rough idle. I took it to big o and told them what it was doing. They had it for three days and told me that it needed plugs and wires. I told them to go ahead and that cost 500. I got the car back and didn't notice a difference so I took it back in. They said that the engine needed to be cleaned with a chemical. That was 300. Again the car wasn't any better. I replaced the mass airflow sensor twice and finally they told me that it need a catalytic converter. I was done at that point and I will never be back at any big o tires again.

Every time I have had my vehicle serviced here I have been happy with the work done. They are conveniently located, will give you a fair price (I always shop around first and have found that to be the case) they are quick, and do solid work. I know local businesses utilize this shop as well, which speaks a bit to their quality.

Tom is the best! Fast, accurate, no BS! He will talk to you honestly, and find you the best configuration at the best price! Don't waste your time and money going anywhere else!!!!!!!! I shopped around my install at 5 different places before calling Auto Radio, and I am SOO glad I did! Tom has literally saved me hundreds of dollars and I couldn't be happier! (and he is open on Saturday's unlike some of the other higher priced shops)
I recently purchased a 2005 Ford Taurus and wanted to be able to listen to Pandora from my phone through the cars speakers. the 05 does not come with an auxiliary jack or bluetooth connectivity.
For those not in the know, to install an aftermarket receiver in a 2005 Ford Taurus there is a installation kit (MetraKit 99-5719) that is very expensive. My journey started off at Best Buy where I was quoted $370 for the kit alone. The stereo and install would be in addition to that, leaving me at about $700 at the end of the day. I asked the sales rep if there were any alternatives that were less expensive or work around so that I could avoid it all together but still get the functionality that I desired, and was told there was not. Before leaving Best Buy I did find an FM transmitter which did in fact work (shame on you Best Buy rep) but has messy wires which are undesirable. I called around to numerous other shops in town and all of them wanted hundreds of dollars for the kit (and did I mention the kit is much less attractive than the factory dash?). When I called Auto Radio Tom was quick to point out that shops around town mark up the already too expensive kit. He directed me to a site where I could order the needed parts on the cheap and bring them to him for a quick and inexpensive install, and then he did one better and came up with a solution that avoided the ugly kit all together and would allow for a discrete modification that would provide the desired functionality through an auxiliary adapter hidden in the center counsel at a cost of $60!
Lowered my cost from $700 to $70 ?
    Tom is the bomb!!!

    Columbia Car Care
I took my car in for a thermostat and instead of him saying well, it's your thermostat but we got to do this and got to do that, finding stuff to bill. He called me and said, it is just your thermostat, everything else is fine. He said, nothing else needs to be changed. He said, I'll have the thermostat here in about an hour and you should be able to pick the car up today. There's a couple of them that works there and both of them is honest.

    Olathe Toyota

I have been getting service here since the 90s. I think it was 1996. I like their honesty and their service. They go out of there way to help you. It is getting a little harder to get there, they are 150 miles away. I trust them, they have always been honest with me.
