Before committing to a business, the two most important things I look for are trust and partnership. First, trust. NLN deeply cares about both the dogs and the owners, and their happiness, well-being and safety. It shows, for example, in the fact that they offer tours of their entire facility, not just the front desk. It also shows in the attitude and enthusiasm of the staff who you interact with every day. These people simply love dogs and it shows! When I drop off my dog at NLN, I have absolutely no hesitation that he's getting the best care. Second, partnership. A lot of businesses give lip service to this concept, and many rarely achieve it. NLN training provides genuine, real partnership. They want you and your dog to succeed and are totally invested in it. That's really important because first, you know you are getting their very best. And second, you know they will do whatever it takes for you and your dog to succeed. For example, when I brought one of their training packages, NLN assured me that if it certain things weren't perfect, they would continue to work on them. My dog stayed in their home for a few weeks, and needed additional work. When I put my dog in day care the next few weeks, they pulled him out several times to offer him 1:1 training and gave me additional training when I picked him up. Plus, I know they were also pulling him out because they truly loved to play with him! That's true partnership. You will get the best from NLN because they truly want you to succeed and will go above and beyond to get you there. I highly recommend NLN as your first stop for all dog needs!!

Paul was contracted to take care of our two puppies who are 10 months old while we were on vacation to Washington DC. During the interview he was very forthcoming and agreed to all our stipulations. We are very protective of our puppies and had stressed to him that we wanted minimal cage time and maximum personal time for them. He smiled and agreed to all our conditions the day before we were leaving. He reassured us that our babies would be taken care of. We had clarified to him that we have two wifi enabled cameras through which we would monitor our pups daily as much as we could. Now he agreed wholeheartedly for this arrangement. He was supposed to stay with our pups from 8PM to 8 AM and then have one of his "colleagues" take care of them during the daytime intermittently.
The day we were to leave he came to our house around 7 Pm and then promptly left at 8 PM to take of his "other clients". This was never agreed on. We would have never known if it was not for me checking in on the camera and seeing our babies in the cage just 30 minutes after we left the home. We gave him some leeway. He came back at 11 PM and then had a sandwich for dinner but neglected to feed our puppies as discussed. He then put them back in the cage without even offering them water or changing the water in their cages. We were only made aware of this when we watched the video files after we landed. It was after we were a 1000 miles away we politely enquired why was this going on when he was suppose to stay there from 8 PM to 8 AM. He rudely told us that he is a professional and he should not be told how to do his job. We were taken aback. We politely reminded him of our arrangement. He was angry that we were monitoring him with the cameras. We reminded him that he was told of the cameras and that we were concerned that our puppies had not been fed. His voice became high pitched and started extolling his "high powered" clients living in million dollar homes. He said he was too busy and stressed out and that we were not the only clients he had. All this was out of the blue and our hearts sank at knowing that this man was with out sweet fur puppies. We then calml asked him if we could as our sons babsitter who also knows our dogs to help him if was stretched too thin. We even offered to pay her over what we would pay him. Our concern was not the money but our pups well being.
Then to our astonishment Paul informed us that he would be leaving again that night to walk another dog and not be back to take care of our puppies. He Quit!

Our hearts sank. My wife was in tears wondering what would happen to our babies while we were a 1000 miles away. He then kept the phone down and curtly told us to make other arrangements. We frantically pleaded to him for sheer humanity that he at least take care of them for the night until we found some replacements in the morning (this was 10 PM St Louis time).

He refused. He just did not care. I was so angry at that point but my wife pleaded with me to be nice to him on the phone since he had our puppies and house keys and frankly we were worried about this person's sanity.

It destroyed our vacation. My wife was crying for the next three hours while we called every friend, every old dog sitter, my sons baby sitter, our neighbors and cobbled together a rag tag team of pup sitters paying some people three times the regular rate just so that we could complete our 4 days vacation. It was a 4 das from **** instead of a happy family outing.

    Thanks to Paul.

I did not write this review as soon as I came back since my anger would have vented in much more colorful language. I have festered on this and thought about it and then decided that we need to warn his other future and current clients about this person's callous attitude. I am not angry that he was busy, I am not angry that he wanted to earn more by taking multiple jobs, I have no problem with all that. My problem was that he promised us what we wanted which I agree is by some standards too much for dog sitting but that was our demand and we were ready to pay for those services.

I am angry at him smiling to our faces and at the same time scheming to betray our trust as soon as we left knowing our vulnerable situation. I am angry that he does not have the humanity to at least do the basic minimum in feeding our puppies before he left.

I am a physician and not some random guy who is writing this report. I am angry that my pups who I adore almost as much as my  child were almost harmed irreparably by this man's callous and irresponsible attitude.

    COUNTRY ACRES, INC.
This is my 2nd review, but in the last year I have been using their Playcare service on a weekly basis. I do not know what I would do without them. Currently my job requires me to work long hours and Country Acres has become my baby's home away from home. They are wonderful with animals, and treat my dog just like family. He loves it there and gets excited each and every time we walk into the office. I highly recommend their Playcare program. It's top notch.

Cindy has made home visits for my 2 dogs for 2 different periods of time now with great results. She cared for my dogs while I was away.  The dogs are in great condition when I return and I feel like I can trust her completely.  She is a true animal lover and takes very good care of them.

    Loving Pet Care
Lorin did a great job for us.  She came to visit our dog in advance of starting her actual paid job for us.  We feel very comfortable with her professionalism and the care she takes both with access to our home and with handling the dog.  We will absolutely use her again.

Wags Dog Walking & Pet Sitting
This was my first time using their pet sitting service, and everything went well.  The company left written messages after each visit, and I appreciated that it used only a few select individuals to care for the dog since it is feral.  Ultimately, they did a great job, and I would highly recommend their services.

    All Critter Care LLC
My usual pet sitter backed out at the last minute.  I could not imagine leaving town with my pets in the care of a total stranger, but out of desperation I researched Angie's List and gave a call to All Critter Care.  My initial call was returned within a few hours, and a "meet and greet" for the caregiver and my pets was easily arranged for the next day.  Our pet sitters were wonderful...friendly, professional, and real animal lovers.  We left town confident that our animals were in good hands.  Everything about my experience with All Critter Care was positive.  They have a very easy online registration that allows all information about your pets to be stored for reference by the pet sitters.  Billing was also done online and was totally hassle-free.  Huge thumbs up to the wonderful service provided by All Critter Care!

    Pet Sitters Inc
They have been excellent.  We have used them at least 12 times over the years.  We always use Delores.  She is absolutely marvelous.  Our dog is on medication and Delores is fabulous with him.  Janet, the owner, hires good people.  They are very thorough and thoughtful.  The price is reasonable.  I think that they are first rate.

    Pampered Pets Patrol
The cats are always happier when we come home than when we left. Charla, Lauren, and co. do a great job, give pets individual attention, keep the pet areas clean, and promptly report any issues. We have used their service for over a year and will continue to do so. They are highly recommended!
