Massage reviews in Clayton

  • Took 4 months, multiple meetings with management, and ultimately many interactions with BBB to get the $400 back. Very disappointed in Wellbridge: Their high pressure sales tactics, poor staff environment that led to therapist leaving, and then the state of their gym and pool compared to the neighboring gyms. Neighboring gym, Clayton Center, has more and newer equipment, plus a track and basketball court, and pool that isn't in the basement dungeon as at Wellbridge. Wellbridge then charges 3times more! Pictures attached show their spa document and policies which clearly do NOT state there is no-refund policy.

  • I have been very pleased with them. They are very professional. It is a chain and you kind of take your chances with what kind of therapist you are going to get but it is a well-run organization. I have been a member there for a couple of years. It is kind of like a fitness club and you pay $49 a month and that entitles you to a massage. The thing I like about these people is that they try very hard to get you an appointment when you call, no matter what weird time you want it. They are extremely professional and they call you to confirm appointments, which I really like because I forget sometimes. I just think they do a really good job of customer service.

  • We have been very happy with them. They are very good and very professional. They are reasonably priced. You can get in very easily. So, you do not have to book ahead. We will recommend them for sure. I have not been there in a while. I think my husband pays $59 a month. He gets one massage a month. He can carry forward a massage from one month to another. As they are very available, he has called them and gotten in the same day several times. He has gotten in even on weekends. I think their availability is really good. Their price is fair. The staff is nice. My husband gets followup e-mails. So, I think their communication is good. However, if you accumulate massages, then you cannot cancel your membership. In case you cancel your membership, you will loose whatever massages you have accumulated. It is nice that you can save the massages, but you will loose them if you do not use them before you close your membership. We will continue to use them in the future.

  • Eric is one of the best medical massage therapists I have ever used,.  His knowledge of the human body is amazing.  He is able to pinpoint the exact location where body mechanic work is needed and he always fixes the problem. Eric is very professional and personable.  I can recommend him with no hesitation.

  • I like the place because it is very serene and they take very good care of you. The facility is nice and clean. The therapist that I normally have is very good. They treat me very nicely and they are pretty flexible with the appointment. They will call you to reschedule of the massage therapist is sick or something.

  • A friend who works for a local hospice association recommended Mr. Freukes. Eric provided therapeutic massages for the hospice patients in addition to his private practice. The massages provide marvelous all-over relaxation, as well as health benefits. The massages reduce my swelling and water retention, relax spasming back muscles and increase muscle flexibility. The massages dramatically ease the pain and stiffness of my psoriatic arthritis. Eric is a very personable and knowledgeable professional. His hours are convenient and flexible. I can recommend him without any reservations.

  • For a member you pay 50.00 for a one hour massage. The best massage I have ever had even though they are a chain. They are a membership and bill you every month, unless you use them every month not sure it's worth it. But they are great.

  • I was utilizing a gift card and in need of some deep tissue therapy. I was a walk-in so I guess I could chalk it up to that as the reason I couldn't get someone who really knew how to give a deep-tissue treatment. But I digress - the massage was good but it was clear the therapist didn't know how to go deep. She clearly knew how to give a massage but I was in particular need of some muscle fiber separation. My wife had been in a week prior and her therapist was really good and adept at deep tissue and myo-fascial release. I'll go again but next time make sure I get someone who really does know about deep tissue treatment. Also, the massage was 50 minutes, not even a full hour.

  • When I went in for my first visit, they did take x-rays before doing any work. They also showed me exactly what was wrong and how they were going to fix it. They have just been great in working with me. My experience with them has been fantastic. They actually specialize in Nucca chiropractic work, which uses slow pressure for adjustments.

  • Dana gave me a massage two days after running a marathon. I chose him on the recommendation of a running store. He has run several marathons himself and knows a runner's body well. The massage was fantastic - he knew how hard to press (but asked to make sure) and was very in tune with knowing when something was hurting. He found spots I didn't even know were affected by the marathon! My recovery was very quick and I give him a lot of the credit for that. This was my first professional massage, so I wasn't sure what to expect, but he really put me at ease. I wasn't sure if I'd feel awkward as a woman getting a leg and back massage from a man, but he was very professional and I never felt uncomfortable. Afterward he showed me several different types of massage techniques I can do on myself to help with recovery after long runs, which I really appreciated.
