  • I selected Metro Land Services based on the good ratings they had on Angie's list. Big mistake! Their price was the same as all the other quotes I had received ($35 per cut plus $45/hour for additional work, e.g., weeding). They were, however, unable to do handle lawn fertilization and weed control, and sent me to one of the big firms (Lawn Doctor) for a quote. This should have been a warning sign, but I still decided to go ahead with them. The first visit was fine, though they were not particularly careful in how they mowed the lawn and in the process chopped off a few seedlings we had just planted. They also told us that our lawn was growing slowly so that they would only come back in two weeks. This seemed reasonable, but two weeks later no body had showed up and we were starting to have a jungle in our backyard. I therefore called and left a voicemail asking when they were intending to come, and that unless they were able to do it soon, there was no point in them coming back. They did show up a few hours later, but did an atrocious job and left many parts uncut in addition to being extremely rude to my wife and telling her that we were out of their way and that they would not be coming back. They also said that we would not have to pay for this last cut. Following this, I sent them an email confirming the termination of our agreement, which they acknowledged. However, a few days later, contrary to their initial statement, I did receive a bill for the last cut they did. I will pay it even though the job was sub-standard, but it simply confirmed the general impression of a lack of professionalism. I may be an outlier in my experience, but there is obviously no way I could recommend their services to anyone.

  • Other companies said they could not get to stump without damaging walkway, plus a guywire to the adjacent power pole and close proximity of my wrought iron fence made estimates of work high. Chris Mueller with Stump-i-cide was confident he could remove the stump to my satisfaction despite the location. He performed the job as predicted and I am very pleased.

  • I was quite satisfied with the work of Landesign. John, my contact person, was easy to work with and the price was, I think, reasonable. Two men came for t he job and they spent 4-5 hours/day for two days to complete the job. I was quite impressed and also surprised to find they took a break only for lunch. They did a fantastic job and I will most certainly have them come again.

  • Greg Kiger/Wildwood Tree Services is a great tree company. Greg is awsome to deal with, a true old school, respectful, polite, professional and safety is a true concern. He not only arrived for the sales call, but he estimated the project and did the climbing with a crew, not unlike him i.e. all extremely pleasant & professional, hard workers. Safety for him, his crew, the tree being worked and property was imperative. As was the clean up afterward. The price made the decision a no brainer. Customer service is alive & well Wildwood Tree Services! Highly recommend, they've got my business.

  • We had a tree that needed a lot of dead wood removed. They were in the neighborhood working and stopped by to ask about whether I needed any trimming done. I showed them the try and commented that it might be hard to see what parts are dead before the tree's leaves are out, but we noticed that the buds were coming on, so we decided it might be clear enough to do the work. We settled on a price of $400 and they said they could do on the spot. However, it turned out that they did not have the equipment to reach all the dead branches high enough and so they did not remove everything I requested. I believe that $400 would have been a good price if they had actually done the full job, but this was poor. After I complained, they did a little more work but never got it the way I liked and they didn't care, commenting on how tired they were. They also asked for the check to be made out to them personally, despite driving up in the company truck and giving me the Chris Amschler card. The business card shows Angie's List as A+ but currently their average is a B. I should not have hired on the spot like this and I regret it. I do hope that I can get them to come back with proper equipment and finish the job, but I am not optimistic. I have done on-the-spot hires with good success in the past, but this was not a good outcome.

  • I requested that the crew of 2 men consult with me as the work progressed or when they had doubts which they did do. They were pleasant and easy to work with. They were more expensive than I wanted to pay, but I would hire them again.

  • We hired County Tree to clean up a fallen tree after a huge storm. They quickly took care of everything. I was so impressed I decided to get a bid for several other tree issues in our yard. Ted (owner) stopped by and gave us a bid. The bid consisted of 3 different priced options, depending on how much work we wanted done. We agreed I would call him once we made a decision. Over the course of a couple weeks, my wife and I both called Ted several times to ask a few follow-up questions before locking in the job. We left messages with his staff, plus voicemails on his cell. No response. Then one day I get a knock on the door. County Tree has arrived to do all the work! I told them to stand down since we hadn't confirmed anything with Ted. If I hadn't been home to stop his team, they would have done the most expensive option on the bid. Later that day Ted called my wife and yelled at her, claiming we cost him money for sending the crew away. The situation would've been avoided with simple communication and customer service.

  • They were one of many estimates we had gotten. Theirs came in cheaper than anyone else's. They removed a lot of stuff front & back for the money in our opinion. Plus we had other estimates to base this off of. They came & did the job. They were fast & took all of it with them. We had so much over grown that we didn't know there was a 3 foot statue in our backyard & we found a small garden pond. We had no idea. We're very satisfied.

  • Kevin was very professional and accommodating and sent Anthony out to remove the poke. Anthony did a great job removing all the poke which filled a tarp in the end. He was able to get down far enough to take out the big roots so it won't come back. Very professional and really cleaned up the area where the poke was and left my yard in great shape. Highly recommended.

  • Charged me double what I was quoted over the phone for the startup, the made no repairs during start up despite may having asked to time at the time I made the appointment, put yellow flags throughout the yard and it took me no less than half a dozen calls to get them out to perform the service work which is the primary reason I was looking for a new vendor. Made all kinds of excuses for why they did not get the work done, but the sales man Chuck had a hard time keeping what he told me straight from one conversation to the next. About 5 weeks with yellow flags and after many calls the work was complete.
