Eye Care Associates of St Louis LLC
Service and hours are AWFUL!  They have no Saturday hours, no evening hours, and when asked about this problem stated, "most people take off work."  (...to pick up eyeglasses...REALLY???)  Customer service is horrible and will never use again.

The initial visit was neither good nor bad.  However, before you choose this provider, carefully check hours.  It is the MOST inconvenient optometry location with which we have dealt.  They have no evening hours, no Saturday hours and they close early on Friday afternoon.  For most working people, they put in a lot more time than this and don't want to have to take off work just to pick up eyeglasses.  I would hope that they either expand their hours or go out of business (but not before we find a time to pick up the glasses!).

    Asheville Vision Associates
The staff was friendly and courteous. The office is small and seemed a bit cramped both in the waiting area and the exam area. However the doctor was prompt and seemed friendly enough. His demeanor was professional and readily answered all of my questions and addressed my concerns to by satisfaction. Not the and quot;warmest and fuzziestand quot; bedside manner but in general I was satisfied and would go back. One thing that was very convenient is that they share office space with the optician service so you just take the prescription from the doctor and walk about five feet and hand it to the optician who helps you pick out frames. One stop shopping made it easy and convenient to get the whole turnaround process. Additionally the optician staff was extremely helpful in sorting through my vision insurance and helping me find the best deal to maximize the benefit I received from the insurance company.

    Pernoud Eye Institute
In the my first appointment, the Pernoud Eye Institute staff and Dr. Joan Pernoud did an excellent job of inital eye examination and qualification for lens replacement surgery for cataracts. Dr. Joan Pernoud in particular spent a significant amount of time discussing the various option for replacement lenses and her experience with which options best fit my situation. Dr. Flavius Pernoud performed both surgeries, which proceeded with no problems. He explained exactly what to expect and what he was doing during surgery. I especially appreciated his phone follow-up the evening of each surgery to make sure there were no problems. At the follow-up exams, Dr. Flavius Pernoud and Lisa Sutherland, the optician on staff, went out of their way to fit affordable interim lenses for my glasses so I had the best possible vision at all times. Bottom line -- I'm very happy with Pernoud Eye Institute and the service they provided me.

    Bobrow, Dr. James C.
Dr. Bobrow's examination and explanations were professional, courteous and competent. I was confident of his diagnosis and services. It was also convenient to be able to schedule appointments with both the optometrist and ophthalmologist in the same office.

    Bobrow, Dr. James C.
Dr. Bobrow's office was very easy to deal with. They were able to get me in right away. They had easy parking and a nice lobby, but I didn't need to wait long at all (a nice change compared to most medical offices!). Dr. Bobrow was kind and clearly smart - it was easy to trust him. His assistant, receptionist and billing clerk were all friendly. I have no hesitation in recommending Dr. Bobrow!

    Bobrow, Dr. James C.
Dr. Bobrow is very knowledgeable and thorough. He did an excellent check of my eyes for disease. Since I had no health problems, he did a great job of focusing on the best way to correct my vision given the amount of time I spend reading, in front of a computer screen, and so on. I trust him, he was an easy conversationalist, and I can see! The front desk staff could be more helpful, but the medical staff was great.

    Bobrow, Dr. James C.
He takes time with you and explains everything. I dont need as much explanation, but I can hear him telling these really elderly patients in the other room and helping them in what medicare will pay for. He is available for emergencies.

    Bobrow, Dr. James C.
Dr. Bobrow and Dr. Sullivan work in the same practice. They both are really great. They both work as a team. I was at work one day and all of a sudden I got this horrible stabbing pain in my eyes. I called my original ophthalmologist and he had gone out of town. His staff referred me to Dr. Bobrow who was in the same building and they took my chart over to him. That was the biggest blessing of my life. My original doctor had misdiagnosed me with something that wasnt and he had given me the eye drops that I should not have been putting in my eyes. Dr. Bobrow saw my chart and told that I should not be putting those eye drops in my eyes. I had some ulcers and infections in my eye and did not have the vision in that eye. He was truly an angel on earth. He saw me for a long time and brought back the vision in that eye. He sent me to another specialist of infectious diseases of the eye and got some eye culture test done for me. Both of them found out the section that was the root cause of my infection. He patiently got everything back on track. I got a call from him a year later and he asked my permission to go on a vacation. He had talked to another doctor and updated my case to him. He told me if I needed anything the other doctor was prepared to take over my case. His vacation has always been a working vacation; he goes to other countries where there is no eye care and treats them. Years later, I needed a cataract surgery and he took care of it too. I had full confidence in him. He is very compassionate and wonderful. I was not at all nervous for my cataract surgery. He is always booked but if there is a problem you can get to see him right away.

    Sullivan, Dr. Theodore K.
I like him very much as he puts his patients at ease. He has a great sense of humor and is very kind and compassionate. He is very thorough too. I have had eye problems in the past and he was very conscientious in addressing all my eye health concerns. He makes sure that his treatment is always age-appropriate and his staff is really good too. They work well in conjunction with each other and can anticipate how Dr. Sullivan would go about his job as they know him well. They are good at record-keeping too. Dr. Sullivan is very communicative and lets me know whether my issues are major or minor. If there is a need for an emergency surgery he immediately consults the ophthalmologist to know the best course of action. He had also consulted the ophthalmologist when there was a cataract formation in my eyes because the ophthalmologist would have performed the surgery for me. Dr. Sullivan knows what is within his purview and what is not. He has a great bedside manner and keeps us calm and reassured. I really appreciate that about him.
