  • I no longer live in St. Louis but went to Jenni for many years. She is an excellent Cognitive Behavioral Therapist (CBT). Prior to Jenni I had not found a counselor that I could really connect with. I believe her style sets her practice apart. Jenni uses a white board, hand outs and books to help you understand what is going on and the tools needed to help yourself. I think the key to any therapy however, is that you have to be ready to change your life. No therapist is going to do that for you. Jenni is no different, if you are ready to dig in she is too!

  • I had a sever bought of depression many years ago. I see him for that. He checks for any signs of it returning. He is very personable and listens. Over all of these years we have kind of become friends and gotten to know each other. I have gotten a lot better. He keeps up with new treatments. He is very knowledgable and does training for residence in psychiatry. I would refer him to others.

  • I am very happy with the therapy I have received from Jenny. Her office is easy to get to, parking is easy, and it's very private. Jenny is always able to fit me into her schedule, even when I've had to shift days/times. She is thoughtful, open, compassionate, and seeks to resolve and solve issues rather than create a dependent relationship where I would feel like I "needed" her indefinitely. She doesn't shy away from conflict either and doesn't just tell me what I want to hear. I'm SO grateful that I happened upon her online. I'm shocked that there isn't already a slew of reviews for her, since she is obviously a well-respected therapist. Please take my word for it. In group, several people have mentioned that they'd seen several other therapists that did not work out before they found Jenny. She's a gem!

  • B-.. That's how I ended up. So-so.  Dr Giuffra seemed to think I was doing well in the end, but I really wasn't and I did not say anything.  I was  too afraid to contradict him (although he is a kind person).. I was not doing as well as I would have liked in my social, family, and occupational life. . In addition, he didn't seem to understand the extreme stress I went through for about a year, during the time I saw him regularly.   He knew what was going on,  but didn't seem to know (or care?) how anxious it made me feel most of the time. When the stress ended, naturally I seemed to improve, but that year continues to affect me greatly and deeply. I am working through it. . The medicine just dulled it all for me at the time, but didn't take away much of the fear.

In the end,  I wasn't sure I was right about having an underlying untreated psychiatric problem, and let it go.  But the anxiety persisted over the years  and then worsened when I got a different job 4 years after leaving his care.
Finally, I found a counselor and a psychiatrist who are treating my this problem effectively. Now I feel like an "A".

  • Even though I carefully described my "manic psychosis" that put me in the hospital when I was 26, he only treated me for depression.  Due to that, I had a terrible mania that lasted 3 months, when I should have been hospitalized or treated intensely.  During that time I saw him once.  I lost my job as a result of that manic episode.  I would not recommend his care to anyone.

  • She is excellent. She dealt with my daughter and worked well with her. She is good at understanding kids who have ADD but are not hyper active; some other doctors are not as familiar with it. She is not a preferred provider on our health care plan, so the cost was a little high, but well worth it.

  • The first visit was fine, mainly an introductory visit. The second visit did not go well. For whatever reason, she and I were not communicating with one another effectively, and at one point, I was told that she could not help us if I continued to say that our marriage was essentially good. In essence, if I couldn't tell her what exactly had prompted us to come to her, she couldn't help our marriage. I'm sure she didn't actually mean that she couldn't help us, but that was not clear at the time. I left frustrated and upset. We chose another counselor immediately.

  • He has expertise as a psychotherapist and as a psychopharmacologist. He is up-to-date on the latest things and is a refined person. He is a good person. We think very highly of him. He is very responsive and returns our phone calls.

  • I think she does a really good job. She is unique because she combines psychiatry with counseling. She is very warm and caring. My only negative is she doesn't take insurance. The price listed is for 1/2 an hour with her. We will continue to see her in the future.

  • An extremely unpleasant experience.  I subsequently checked on the Doctor's normal "wait" time.  It is 40 minutes.  Who needs it?
