    Pam'S Barber Styling
Pam gives great men's hair cuts. Hair cuts are by appointment and I usually can get started right on time. Walk ins are welcome but may have to wait for the appointments to be filled.
Service includes cleaning up the back of the neck with a straight razor. Pam provides an excellent hair cut, and she is without a doubt the prettiest barber I have ever used.

Great salon! I've been coming here for years. Tammy, the receptionist, always professional and friendly, confirms the appointment the day before. Minimal waiting time. Connie is a master colorist. She has taken my hair from frizzy and dried out to shiny and healthy looking. I'm always consulted about my needs and wants in term of cut and color, but quite honestly, I really rely on Connie's expertise. Salon is very clean and well decorated.

From the first phone contact through my hair cut everything was done professionally and pleasantly.  I was able to get in the day I called and was assured that my experience would be a good one and it was.  Celeste, my operator first asked me about what I wanted in a cut.  I told her I wanted the same style that I had but just shaped up with out taking too much of the length.  It has been my experience that operators want to cut my hair shorted than I want it but Celeste listened to what I had to say and actually did it.  My husband said it was the best cut I've had in years.  A perfect stranger in a shop even complemented my cut!! Celeste was great.  I will go back to her next time I need a cut.

fBecause of my extremely sensitive skin,  i tend to break out even more from facial treatments.  Amy is the exception.  My skin alwyas looks better leaving her room, and continues for weeks afterward.  I have worked in numerous salons in my career, and have had services performed by many estheticians over the years, but Amy is far and away the best.  She is detail oriented and patient. :)

    CLAYTON 230
Clayton 230 Barber Stylist is a true old school barber shop in the middle of downtown Clayton. You walk into the shop and are instantly transported back in time to the barber shop you grew up in. There are no fancy TV's or girls in tight t-shirts like at other hair cut joints, just a barber shop at its finest. I personally had my haircut by Andrew and he gave me one of the best hair cuts I have ever had. Andrew is new to the shop, but is the former Art of Shaving barber which sells amazing shaving supplies. The prices are not outrageous when you consider the level of detail put into each cut. Also Andrew does straight razor shaves which is something I plan to try in the near future, but did not have the time to do when I was there.

Well. I am trying to grow out my hair and so have a difficult in-between look at the moment. I found this salon on Angie's List, looked at their website and decided to try them out. The receptionist asked me what my preferred days of the week/hours of the day were and to describe what I wanted done. I liked that the salon has a person who handles appointments like that. I got an appointment for a couple of days later. When I arrived at the salon, I waited for just a few minutes. The stylist, Sheena, is new to St. Louis and seems young but very knowledgeable about hair and hair design. I appreciated her consultation. She also respected my wishes to NOT have any sort of complicated styling or coloring done. I do not own a flat iron and do not intend to buy one. She, therefore, gave me a cut that I could blow dry and use minimal product and that would continue to let me hair grow out. Nearly every stylist I have been to in the past has suggested all kinds of color and / or styled my hair with a flat-iron. So, Sheena was refreshing. She recommended that I come back in 8 weeks -- not 4 or 6, which I've heard a lot too. I liked her and I like the cut. It is stylish, but also no-nonsense and no-fuss. I'm a busy middle-aged mom and I appreciate that!

Donna Corkery is a very experienced and professional hair dresser.  She spent a lot of time my first visit really listening to what I wanted.  She gave me the best style and haircut I have had in a number of years. In subsequent visits she has been very alert to what I like or don't like about any particular haircut and is willing to "recut" my hair if I am not satisfied.  I regularly get compliments on my hair. Add to that that Donna is very friendly and kind.  I couldn't ask for a better experience. My experiences with the front desk staff and other stylists has always been pleasant and amiable.  In a nutshell, it's the same talent and professionalism you would expect from a more expensive salon but you don't always get!

    Fantastic Sams - St. Louis
I visit them every six months. Tina is careful and she fixes my nails. The color is good and she is really consistent. She used to be the manager for a while and I have been with her for, twenty years. I don’t like the fact that I can’t make an appointment there; I just have to, show up.

When I arrived, they had changed the stylist for my haircut, without telling me. I thought this was strange. This is a very busy salon, and everyone seems to be in a big hurry. It is also very small in square footage for everyone and everything crammed into it. Relaxing it is not. There is hardly a lobby (two chairs?) for waiting before your appointment, The parking lot is difficult to get in and out of as well. All that would probably not matter, but I didn't think my haircut was a 60.00 haircut by any standard. Color was OK but not outstanding. Too hurried and harried. I don't recommend, but maybe there is an individual stylist there that makes it all worthwhile. I didn't find that person.
