    Firestone Complete Auto Care Store
I originally took this car to another repair shop and was told that I needed a compressor, charge $800. Wanting a second opinion, I took it to this Firestone. All it needed was a repair of a leak that had developed and recharge with freon. The cost was less than a third of the amount the original shop wanted to charge, and there was nothing wrong with the compressor. They went the extra mile to find parts for the other repair I needed.

    Firestone Complete Auto Care Store
Last year I bought new tires from another Firestone dealer, plus a lifetime alignment contract; thus, rotation and alignment cost me nothing.  I won't go to the dealer where I bought the tires because when they last did an alignment, the technician caused the steering wheel to be out of alignment, and the store takes too long to do any task.  I chose this Firestone because of their location, i.e., in an affluent community.  They were prompt and courteous.  However, at check out time they recommended three services:  battery corrosion protection ($10), replacement of the serpentine belt (($137.45), and fuel system cleaning ($104.99); I chose only the battery service.  When I returned home, I researched the latter two services on the Internet, and did a detailed inspection of the belt, which had no defects.  Moreover, the truck has excellent performance and mpg; thus, I concluded that this Firestone service is trying to get customers to buy unnecessary services.  On 6/3/16 I had the truck's oil changed at my Honda dealer, and they did a detailed inspection; they did not recommend either service that Firestone did.  This is further proof that the two services would be a rip-off.

    Car Doc Automotive
This is our first and only experience (so far) with Car Doc, but based on this experience we certainly plan to return.  Scheduling was easy, service was prompt and finished on time, the facility is very spacious, clean and professional.  Car Doc was highly recommended on several "VW Geek" discussion groups.  The price was about the same as the VW dealer would charge so we didn't save a lot of money here (and the 40k service is a "big one" when a number of components are scheduled for replacement -- other 10k services had cost and will cost about a third of what we paid for this one)  but I do think we got value for our dollars.

    JUST JAGUAR CAR SVC
terrific - Owners work in the business, are life-long jaguar lovers, and knew my car inside-out (British-born Graham described my model's Achilles heel, and how to anticipate, then fix it -- next Spring!) Security fences as I had not seen before in an auto shop to protect the vintage and newer Jags in their charge; very reasonable rates; communicative and "simpatico" mechanics. A great vibe in the business of competence, cooperation, and comaraderie, I drove 50 miles to come here, and will return.

    Plaza Land Rover
I think that they were charging me for things that doesn't need to be done and over charging me. I'm not happy. It was a lot but I don't remember how much it was. I like that they got us in quickly and they listen to us but I wasn't happy that they insisted us to get things done that doesn't needed to be done at that time. We just had the oil change and we told them, they have done the oil change. We bought the car a month earlier and yet they wanted us to get the oil change again. When I called them and said "Listen, I don't know what's going on here but I know, either you did not change the oil when you said when we bought the car or your people are telling us to get service that doesn't need to be done" Its one or the other. Oil change was one of the things I know when needs to be done. Other things, I have to rely to them. I don't trust them and I won't go to them. Because they were clean and they were responsive,  but its hard to get them hold on to, there's no phone number to reach them at, I give them an over all of a C.

    MILLER BROTHERS AUTO SERVICE
I think we've been using them for about 5 years. We go in to them all the time. They're fair and they only bill us for the things that we need to get done. Millers Brothers only tells you what needs to be done, what needs to be done in the future. They're very fair, they do things quickly, they're hones and they tell you what they cannot do. Sometimes they just don't get back to us.

    DON'S MUFFLER CLINIC
Most muffler repair shops would have required replacement of the front pipe and intermediate pipe for at least $300 plus labor. Welding in a chunk of new pipe was quick (20 minutes), economic, and effective. Don's did a great job and was very professional. I highly recommend the shop, especially for cars that are no longer under warranty and older cars in general, where effective, economic repairs are strongly preferred to full exhaust system replacements. I suspect Don's could do the latter as well much more reasonable than mainstream muffler repair shops. Great job - I will return for future muffler repairs.

    Bavarian Enterprises Inc
Their prices are reasonable. They do good work and the work is a lot cheaper than the dealership.  They people there are very good.  I wouldn't go back to them if they were not good.  They are very responsive.

    Telle Tire & Auto Service
Scheduled an appointment and dropped of the car the night before using night drop-off.  I was called with an estimate the next morning and ok'd work.  Car was ready that afternoon as promised.  Prices quoted were reasonable; about the same or a little less than a dealer.

    County Tire & Auto Service
I go to County Tire and Auto with any automotive needs. They take care of any problems with reasonable prices and they don't make up other problems to fix. They will show me the problem or explain what is wrong. I have never taken it in and left feeling like I was cheated. They warranty their work and are very helpful.
