  • Repaired my old washing machine.  From my description on the phone, they were able to guess the solution and give me an estimate.  Came to the house, confirmed the diagnosis, ordered the part and returned the following week to fix the machine.

  • It went fairly poorly from that point on. We were told that someone would come out to fix it. Three or four different times we were told someone was coming out on a certain day to fix it and the day would come and pass w/o anyone coming. Once they called and said they were coming in a couple hours, and my husband left work to meet them. However, no one ever showed up. Eventually, after several weeks, someone finally came, installed part of the ice maker and said he'd have to order the gasket for the seal. We called week after week and were repeatedly told the gasket wasn't in. Eventually, they offered to exchange the refrigerator at no cost and w/ no additional delivery cost. My husband picked one out, and they said that it was an "upgrade" so we'd have to split the delivery cost w/ them. My husband initially refused, but then called them back and agreed to it. They said they'd deliver the new refrigerator on Monday. Monday came and they said that they didn't know we wanted the fridge, etc. I told them we had called back and they arranged to deliver the refrigerator a few days later. My father decided to go to the store to make sure that they were planning on delivering it after all. As soon as they saw him walk into the shop, they ran over to the fridge to put a sold sign on it. It seemed as if they were still trying to sell the replacement refrigerator. Finally the new fridge came, it's working, and I'm happy to be done w/ arguing w/ them.

  • Purchased two TVs, full set of Stainless Steel kitchen appliances, smaller electronics, etc... We have been to ABT so many times and we have never had a poor experience! Fresh baked cookies in the store, activities for the kids, knowledgeable salespeople. We always get a great deal, great service. This was the first time we have had to call for a repair. The technician worked with my schedule and was very prompt, courteous and knowledgeable about the product (GE Profile Dishwasher). He was unable to repair the problem as he realized he needed to order a new computer thing (my words!) He had initially assumed that he could come back same day and install it. When he checked with ABT, he found that this part had to be ordered directly from GE and would not be in for a week. He was VERY apologetic about this, even though it was not his fault. When the item came in, they sent out a tech on a day that they normally do not do out calls because it was what worked with my schedule!

  • TERRIBLE! THIS IS THE WORST EXPERIENCE I'VE EVER HAD WITH AN APPLIANCE STORE. THE SALES SERVICE AND DELIVERY ARE HORRIFIC. WE ORDERED 5 APPLIANCES AND THERE WERE MAJOR PROBLEMS WITH ALL OF THEM. THE SERVICE IS WORSE THAN BAD AND THE STAFF IS UNRESPONSIVE. DO NOT USE THIS STORE.

  • I was very pleased with the purchase, delivery, and installation of the appliances. I would definitely buy from this store again because the value is excellent. The washer would regularly have retailed for $1,500+, the dryer about $1,200, and the refrigerator $900+. I researched the appliances through a consumer reporting publication and knew the quality ratings and retail price. Since this is a ''scratch and dent'' outlet store, some items may have cosmetic defects but operate perfectly well. Sears warranties the appliances like any new purchase, so I didn't feel I was taking a big risk. And I didn't care if there were any dings or scratches on a washer and dryer that are going to be in my basement because they will only be seen by me! One minor scratch on a beautiful stainless steel Whirlpool refrigerator was on the side facing the wall in my kitchen.
