Dr Lynch kept me informed of her ETA and actually was a little bit early for the scheduled time. My cat trusted her completely and allowed her to thoroughly evaluate what was going on with her leg. I felt confident in Dr Lynch's assessment and the treatment she recommended. She prescribed a supplement which she had mailed to me and arrived a couple of days later. No x-rays or expensive scans. No sedation in order to evaluate and diagnose. I am so impressed. I think she is an animal whisperer. It is 7 weeks later and my cat is all better!

very professional. Good quality. Kind of pricey. They suggest many services. My dog is tough and I am cheap, so some felt luxury at moment, but if you treat your dog as kids, and you send your kids to expensive camps and orthodontist, this might be for you.

It's a small clinic, they are very attentive and the two assistants know the pets. They know what they are talking about. He's very conservative, so he doesn't immediately want to do a whole bunch of expensive test. He knows animals instinctively. He's taken care of five cats and one dog for us over the years.

Took Bear, our Newfoundland, in about 10:30am.  He was finished and able to come home about 3:30.
He received the first of a series of injections  that will help his back legs.
Dr. Mike put him on new dog food. Bear has lost app. 18 lbs in a month. The extra weight was part of his problem.
Dr Mike called after we got home to make sure Bear was doing okay.
Bear is a rescue dog and is greatly loved by our family.

Dr. Karagiannis put my dog on Prednisone, started an IV line, and monitored her packed cell volume numbers.  When we went into VSS, her PCV number was about 18. 50 is normal.  Over the next 3 days, this number slipped a little so he gave her 2 blood transfusions.  They helped her breathing and her energy improve, but she didn't eat for several days.  I visited her every day, and I was impressed that they had a very nice room for this purpose.  It had a couch and end table with lamps, and when they brought my dog in they laid a fluffy blanket on the floor. They closed our door for privacy, and it was wonderful to just sit with her and pet her.
As my dog's 4th day began, her PCV test showed an increase to 20.  Apparently it takes Prednisone a few days to begin working. When she stabilized at 20, they let her come home.  The next day, my primary care vet measured the PCV at 30.
VSS is more upscale than most M.D. offices I have been in.  In addition to being professional and kind, the staff was very efficient and smooth and they always had answers to my questions.  The reception area and the exam rooms were very contemporary, comfortable, exceptionally clean, and cheerful.
I am so grateful for my primary vet, Dr. Catherine Pennington at Clark Animal Hospital, who diagnosed my dog's IMHA quickly and correctly and sent us to VSS.  By the time we arrived, Dr. Pennington had already faxed over my dog's information and she had already reviewed her findings with Dr. Karagiannis. I didn't have to explain everything.  He moved rapidly to get her into treatment.  This disease can kill 50% to 70% of all dogs who have IMHA.  I am so grateful to Dr. Karagiannis for his exceptional skills and his dedication. He always returned my phone calls quickly and he also called me whenever there was good news.  He is such a gift to our pets and to us as pet parents.
VSS charged me much less than I was expecting to pay. It was a wonderful surprise and a great relief.

Dr. Laves is great with the dogs. I have been going to Dr. Laves for 25 years and I would not go any place else. He has done cancer surgery on my lab, who lived 15 years. And all of the neutering and check ups for my other 2 dogs. He gets down on the floor with my large lab/shepherd mix and really makes the dogs feel comfortable in the office.

.They took excellent care of our dogs and were always available for consultation and explained everything in detail in terms that I could understand. They always made time to see our dog even if it was at the last minute if it was important and couldn't wait. After working on our dogs, they always made a follow up call to see how the dog was doing and to offer any information on testing they had done. All of the technicians in the office as well as office manager and office workers were very friendly and caring and sympathetic when it was necessary. Their facilities were always clean and our dogs didn't really mind going there.
The groomer, Marcia Cardwell, who we had used for years before, eventually went to work for Bal Coeur, and that made it even more convenient for us to go there. Every person there that we ever came in contact with there was extremely warm and friendly and made it a pleasure to go there.

LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this practice!!  All the veterinarians at Barrett Station are fantastic as are the vet technicians who assist them!  They are very kind and gentle with our pets and take the time to explain any issues/treatment recommendations to us.  We have 3 cats and 1 rabbit and have been taking them to Barrett Station for 3 years.  One of our three rescue cats, Cedric, had health issues from the time we adopted him.  He progressively worsened and we feared that we would have to put him down since other veterinarians were unable to diagnose his problem or suggest possible solutions.  When we took Cedric to Barrett Station, the vets there were able to determine what the problem was and refer us to an optical veterinary surgeon for treatment.   Not only did Cedric recover beautifully from surgery, but he was a completely different cat afterwards - happy and relaxed!  We can't thank Dr. Pletz enough for his "spot-on" diagnosis and awesome follow up treatment for Cedric.  We will continue to use Barrett Station for our pets and highly recommend their practice to anyone looking for 'top-notch' care for their pets!

He is very prompt about meeting his appointments. He has an emergency number and is known for making house calls when the dog is very sick. You cant get much more responsiveness than that! We've used him with our current dog for 14 years and our previous dog for 10 years. We trust him completely.

He does have insurance plans available for pets. His pricing is quite high but its the same as everyone else.

Most recently we visited him for shots, a physical, and everything else that she needs on a regular basis. For example, he won't give her a rabies shot because a) she doesn't leave our house and yard and b) he doesn't trust the vaccine with her at her age. He has actually written to the state to explain that it would not be beneficial for her. She does have arthritis and he came up with an anti-inflammatory for her. He told me if I could find the same medication online cheaper, to let him know so he could match it or write a prescription so I can take advantage of the cheapest price.

We went to them when we first purchased our puppy seven years ago. They had a deal between a kennel and the vet. You get a discount if you put your pet to that particular vet. We did and they were very nice. They've done a good work. We've used them ever since. They just are nice people. All the staff is very sweet and nice. The doctor seemed very interested in helping me. I've only taken one of our pets there when he was sick. The rest of the time, it has just been the well service. They called up the following day to double check and make sure he was okay. Their price is like everybody else. It's high.
