    Suzette and Matt Greaves are insurance brokers, which mean they find the best insurance company for all my needs from a list of many companies they do business with. They absolutely are the best at service and get the best price for me each year. Each year they reassess if I am getting the best price and if not, they find a better deal for me with another insurance company. I have been a customer of theirs for 8 years. I give Suzette a call when my kids are in accidents or get tickets, and she responds immediately, advising me on the best course of action. She has always been there for me. I have done business with  several other insurance companies in the past, and when their premiums go up the agents never return my calls. Suzette and Matt are on top of things every year when prices go up, and they find a company which has the best rates for my particular situation. With 4 cars to insure, the savings really adds up!

    The experience was terrible from start to finish. After my son was rear-ended, American Family contacted me via an adjuster and claim representative. The adjuster informed me immediately that I could have a rental car for 1 week (even through our policy provides a overall cost for a rental car which is for about a month). At the end of the first week I was finally contacted by the claim representative and told the car might be a total ( a shock to me). I asked for an extension of the rental car and told "NO" in no uncertain terms. Asking to speak to a supervisor, I was told it wasn't worth my time the decision was final. Fortunately, I did speak to a supervisor who granted me an additional week. After going back and forth about whether or not to total the car it was decided to call it a total and the proposed payment was extremely low. After asking how this price was derived, a list of 20 cars were sent to me and only two were in St. Louis, 18 from Rolla to Joplin to Indiana to Iowa, and none of the cars had the features my car did (including 4 wheel drive which my car had and over half of the comparable cars did not have). When this was discussed I was told that they don't have to be cars from this market just a general market. I called all f the dealerships listed and 6 of the cars didn't exIst (I was told that sometime they will just ask a dealership what they would give for a car with these features and mileage). Back and forth this went for another week and the proposal was increased by $800 and then by another $800 ($1,600 total). At this point I was told this was their final offer even though researching the St .Louis market showed the offer was still $800-$1,000 short. After three weeks of fighting I contacted a supervisor and asked about he offer and was told that yes this was a fair offer and a mistake had been made with the first two offers. No apology just a mistake. When my agent called me to see if I was going to accept their offer he proceeded to tell me how much work he had done to get the offer price up ( news to me as we had not really talked) and then proceeded to tell me what a great agent he was and how good he was at his job ( even though I had to do all the work, and fight with my own insurance company to get a somewhat reasonable price for my totaled car). He even went so far as to say I was over paid for the car's value! Remember, this is my insurance company, and my agent and the accident was not going against me, my son or our policy as it was deemed the other driver's fault! Three weeks, 25 phone calls to car dealerships, 28 phone calls to adjusters and claim representatives, 3 calls to supervisors and a final result of $2,000 out of pocket to replace a car that I've paid comprehensive premium payments on for four years and my agent told me he was working his hardest for me. Very funny. BTW, I've compared rates and found out I was overpaying for car insurance by almost $800 annually. Make sure you check BEFORE you buy insurance through American Family.

    It saddens me that after being a client of Glenn Eckert State Farm Insurance for over 20 years for auto, home and rental property insurance that I have to write this review. Labor Day weekend we incurred an approximate $13,000 loss for property damage and loss of rental income as a result of a break-in on rental property that we own in St. Louis, Missouri. We have always paid our State Farm Insurance premiums, and a lot of them. However, when I needed our State Farm Agent and State Farm Insurance Company, they did not hold up their end of the deal. I believe that an insurance company's purpose is to protect the client's assets and well being. This did not happen. I knew that we were paying more by being insured with State Farm but, I thought that was a reasonable trade off by having a local agent to handle our needs. I was wrong! The local agent just was a marketer of the State Farm Insurance rather than a client-focused agent. The agent's officeI repeatedly told me to contact State Farm Corporate rather than have the agent handle the matter.  

    It took State Farm approximately 2 months from the date of the loss to notify me that they were not going to cover the losses because they "determined that it was due to hard wear and tear from the person(s) who broke into the condo and they do not cover wear and tear." Have you ever heard of a sillier statement! We were waiting on the insurance company before starting any repairs. Our agent, Glenn Eckert, told me to proceed with the necessary repairs and do what I needed to do to get the property back to good condition. That was bad information because I spent money on repairs that I probably will never see again because State Farm says that they will not cover the losses. 

    Interestingly, after I complained enough, State Farm said that they would cover $171.36 for damages done to the front door because they acknowledge that there was a break-in. Of course, I rejected their rediculous offer. Then State Farm came back with another offer of $2,945.33. This however was sent along with the details of the claim, a check for $2,945.33 as well as our personal information including our home phone number to a complete stranger who was also a State Farm client. That person called us at home and I drove across the county to pick up our personal information. Fortunately, they did not cash the personal check made out to us. Of course, we rejected this offer. It just gets worse! 

    State Farm did not protect our personal information. Unfortunately, State Farm and the agent are not stepping up to the plate to honor their obligations to us as clients to settle this claim in a timely manner and reimburse us for the expenses that we incurred.

    I found All Insurance No Fees online and checked out there website. I then sent an online request for an agent to contact me. The next day I received a call from Bill Kennedy. He spent 30 minutes with me on the phone reviewing my coverage. Then that afternoon he emailed me a rate with detailed coverage breakdowns. Not only did Mr. Kennedy lower my premium by 21%, he delivered the type of service that I have been looking for in an insurance agent for some time. I purchased the policy the next day.

    We just recently changed financial planner agencies, so our life insurance changed, too. Shawn as been very professional with us, has always been well prepared for our meetings and has done a good job at explaining what he thinks we should do; in the end allowing us to make the decision we are most comfortable with. In changing life insurance policies, he worked hard to get the recent whole life policy information (numbers, values, etc.) from our old planner, as we were never sent statements throughout the 10 years we'd had the policies. Once we finally got all the information needed, he made sure we were able to get the new life insurance (after our health checks) prior to canceling our old policies to ensure we spent no time without a policy. Overall, we've been very happy with the change of agencies.

    We've been having First Command planners help us with our retirement planning since we were 24 years old (16 years ago). (We've had 3 planners work with us over the years as the company has grown and reorganized.) They originally just helped military personnel with this, but have now extended their services to the general public. We've always been pleased with the help we've gotten with all the life changes we've experienced (first house, job changes, moving, kids, etc.). They've always been prepared for our meetings and always had good suggestions for us. Not being in the military ourselves, we were an anomaly as we started with them during a trial period for the company, but we've never felt like they've treated us any differently. Beth is our newest planner and has been just great! We really feel like we're on the right path for the kids' college and retirement.
