    AHS sent a sewer and drain company to investigate the problem rather than a plumbing contractor.  It was like two guys from "Deliverance" showed up, with no water heater experience at all.  AHS then sent a plumbing contractor, about a week later, who ordered and then replaced the dip tube.  The problem remained and the water heater began dripping water on the floor.  AHS sent the plumber back, he ordered a part and installed it.  Both problems continued but AHS would no longer service the water heater.  I called my own plumber who took a look and said the water heater needed to be replaced.  He told me that in his experience AHS will never replace a water heater--they'll just keep installing other parts.
    During another service call for toilets not flushing properly, the AHS plumber cut a V-shaped opening on something inside of the tank rather than replacing the internal parts.  
    AHS is the WORST.  You would be wasting money by purchasing "No-Warranty" coverage from them.

    I called the repair company, and provided them the claim number. They sent a technician the same day. The technician determined that a tube was clogged, and unclogged it. The technician was friendly, punctual, and thorough. Best of all, I was not charged a penny. I haven't had good experiences with home warranty companies in the past, but my experience with CP was different. The whole process was simple, easy, straight-forward.

    - Air conditioner - good service person- horrible customer service and follow up by AHS
    On the hottest day in the summer with temps above 100F our air conditioner went out. I posted the claim both on the website and via the 800# and did not get a response from either. I called 2 hours later and they said they would call me within the hour. Another two hours later I called them back (now midway through the day due to THIER non responsiveness) and they said that they would need to schedule something the following day since it was after noon. We had to stay in a hotel due to the extreme heat. When they finally did send a service person at the end of the second day the repair was completed. 
    - Inoperable garbage disposal - Repair person gave 4 hour window for when they would come, came at the extreme end of the 4 hour window.  Service could not be completed at that time since he didnt have the part.  He needed to come back a second time (so i needed to take another day off of work to sit and wait for him and pay for another service call).
    - Plumbing repair.  The faucet outside was stuck and needed to be replaced.  He loosened it as a temporary fix and agreed with me that it did need to be replaced but that would not be covered by the AHS warranty since they would have to cut into the wall.  It was a very expensive 5Min service call (again sat around half the day waiting for the service person).
    - Ice maker repair - After I told the AHS person what was broken and they booked the appt, the repair person showed up and told me that a free standing ice maker isnt covered....and handed me the bill for the :60 second service call

    This is the worst customer service experience ever.  I had someone come out several months ago to look at my ailing dishwasher.  The tech said he needed to order a new computer board.  I paid a $60 service fee per my Agreement with AHS.  I never heard back.  this was right before the holidays. The dishwasher completely broke down and had to be replaced immediately since I had a house full of visiting guests for the holidays.  Last week I called to see about getting my $60 refunded because no one every came back out to fix the dishwasher and I had to replace it immediately.  The woman at AHS told me that someone had called and left a message on December 15th that the dishwasher needed to be replaced.  We had no record of having received this call on our home or cell phones.  She referred me to their purchasing department and said she was not sure they could do anything since we had already replaced the unit.  I phoned the purchasing department today and was PLACED ON HOLD FOR 40 MINUTES!!!!!!!!!!  
    when she answered and I complained about the hold time, SHE TOLD ME THAT THERE WERE STILL 54 PEOPLE ON HOLD!!!!!!!!!!!!!  AS THOUGH THIS WAS SOME KIND OF A BADGE OF HONOR.  So I began telling her the information about my dishwasher and it was discovered that they had the wrong area code listed on my phone number so I never received a call from them.  She then started telling me that it was MY FAULT FOR NOT HOUNDING THEM WHEN THE CONTRACTOR NEVER FOLLOWED UP.  They had my cell phone number but no one every tried to call that. So all they did was place one call to a wrong number that is answered by someone giving a name that is not mine...I called it myself to see.  The customer service agent in the purchasing department of AHS, Pam, was so unprofessional and so rude and threw every issue back in my face telling me that nothing was their fault and they have done nothing wrong.  Then she said....WELL IF WE DID NOT HAVE TO SPEND ALL THIS TIME WITH PEOPLE LIKE YOU COMPLAINING ,CUSTOMERS WOULDN'T HAVE TO BE ON HOLD FOR SO LONG....can you believe that?!  Their web site touts all this stuff about being a company that prides itself on making the lives of their customers easy.  What a joke.  I believe I am going to have my issue resolved, but one should not have to endure this kind of rude, sarcastic, defensive and unprofessional conduct from a customer service agent.  I will be forwarding this information to the President of their company.  Something is very wrong with this organization to treat clients in this way.  I would imagine getting people to shell out $50 a month for this service is not easy...they just lost my business.  I will be canceling my agreement as soon as this is resolved.

    I can't say enough about having this service. I've had it for two years and it pays for the cost of their insurance with just one service. You have to use their providers but the work gets done at a fraction of the real cost.

    17 year old refrigerator. I was told coils were dirty and that was the reason for fridge failure. MY FAULT??? Only paid $275 towards fridge replacement
