Excellent assessment of damage and restoration required. Prompt cost estimate, perfect time scheduled for completion of project, quality material recommendation. Demolition and haul-off was immediate and orderly to prevent further damage. Installation was timely, professional, and very well done. Measures were taken so as to correct the problem from happening again. I have previously used this company for minor repairs; this project was major; and I will use this company again for remodeling, renovation, and residential repair. Excellent service, honest employees, quality, skilled labor, fair & competitive pricing. Favorable experience from beginning to end of project and I would highly recommend this company.

Initial contact with Karen was good, she came out on time to our newly constructed home, measured the closet and showed us what design she had in mind.  We received a quote a couple of days later and decided to go with them as we were trying to save time and stress by having someone else take care of this closet as it was large, my husband had done the rest of the closets in the home.  The installer came out on July 2nd as planned, my husband was home for installation.  Apparently the measurements were wrong, so part of the closet was installed, we had to make an appointment to finish at a later date when the correct size came in.  When I got home, I walked in our closet and the first thing I noticed was the smell of smoke (cigarette).  I asked my husband if the intallers were smokers, he said he didn't know.  He said he noticed a funny smell, but thought it would go away.  The next day, I still could still smell the smoke, my husband agreed, it smelled like smoke.  I should have called right away, but we thought it might dissipate on it's own.  When the installer returned to finish the job, I was home and I could smell smoke on the installer.  After he finished the job, I called Karen to tell her about the smoke smell.  She had the owner in the office with her, he assured me that our closet unit pieces were not exposed to smoke.  He said they wipe the units down with acetone after installation, there should not be any smoke smell.  I assured him my closet did smell like smoke.  He suggested giving it a couple of days to see if it would go away, he believed it was in the air, not on the closet unit.  By that evening, I couldn't take the smell any longer and was concerned about the smell getting into my new walls and carpet.  I called Karen on her cell phone that evening (after hours), she answered her phone and said she would talk to the owner the next day (Saturday).  In the meantime, she suggested putting a bowl of ammonia in the closet to absorb the odor.  We went online to find suggestions to remove smoke smell, one suggestion was the bowl of ammonia, along with baking soda on the carpet and wiping down the unit with vinegar.  My husband went to the store to buy these items, then spent an hour wiping down the unit and sprinkling baking soda.  We also put an air purifier machine in the closet.  We gave it two days, removed the ammonia and vacuumed the carpet.  It seemed to have worked.  I heard from the owner a day later, he was trying to track down why the closet unit had that odor and could not solve the mystery.  I believe that the installer most likely was smoking in the van with our unit.  I told him we resolved the issue ourselves, outlining the steps we took.  We were not happy that we had decided to have someone else do this closet to save time and stress, and it ended up causing us time and stress.  I'm not going to give this company an F, my concerns were addressed, I think it should have been taken a little more seriously than it was.  Overall, if you decide to use this company and do not want a closet that smells like smoke, it would be a good idea to tell them upfront that you would prefer a non-smoking installer.  The unit itself is satisfactory.

Dan's company is fantastic!!!  I recently moved into a condo that needs a lot of renovating.  After searching Angie's List and interviewing 3 companies, I chose Dan Weber General Construction based on reviews, price, and Dan's dynamic personality.  I am so very glad I chose this company.  I have worked with a lot of companies in the past, but Dan Weber GC is by far the very best.  Dan and his crew tore down a closet and walls separating two bedrooms, built a new master closet, walled-up unneeded entry doors, expanded the kitchen pantry, created display niches, expertly patched large areas of missing drywall from an electrical renovation, hung multiple doors, and laid hard wood flooring throughout the two story condo.  I could not be more pleased with the work.  My 40 year old condo is looking like new construction thanks to Dan and his company.
Ryan, Aaron, and Mike, "the crew", could not be nicer people.  I felt very secure leaving them to work during the day while I was at work.  Because I was living in the space during construction, it was very important for me to have minimal mess left behind each day.  They always cleaned up after themselves each day, vacuuming dry wall dust, picking up their tools and storing them out of the way, and making sure everything was covered with heavy plastic to insure minimal collection of drywall dust on the furniture.
I am moving onto the next phase of remodeling and Dan Weber GC will be helping with that as well.  I am redoing 3 bathrooms and the basement flooring.  I will not get bids from any other company because I am so very pleased with the quality work and responsiveness of Dan's company.

They were amazing and fantastic and I have since had Laurie come back for several visits to help me with various areas of my home (office, closet, mudroom). I'm not even a hoarder!  I actually do organize and get rid of items pretty regulary, but STILL the basement was chock full of stuff that always ended up on the "I don't know what to do with this." pile.  On their first visit Lori and her co-workers really worked hard from the minute they arrived, and kept me working, too. :)
It was almost comical how I'd just sort of stand in a daze holding some item (a scarf, piece of a toy, a souvenier from some trip I barely remember taking) and Lori would talk me through what to do with it: "Do you wear it? Do you love it? Does it make you happy?" and I GOT RID of piles of stuff. They broke down empty boxes and other discarded items and took them out to the garage. There was so much trash for trash day that neighbors asked if we were moving. they loaded stuff for Goodwill into my car and even took some to drop off after things couldn't fit. My son's play area got organzied so we can FIND the various toys and pieces of toy sets and games so he can play with them instead of wandering around looking for missing parts.
The SLS gals are professional, hard workers, and get SO much more done than I ever could alone, in addition to keeping me focused so I could work, too. I think a lot of times I start to organize and get distracted or overwhelmed and just say "forget it," but with them working so hard, I felt energized to do the same.  I also felt sort of motivated for days after the visit--which happens every time I've had Laurie come back to help me with other areas.  It's like I get a booster shot of organizing energy. I've already told my husband that visits from SLS are what I want for birthdays and Christmas presents--the effect is more relaxing than money spent on a massage or a short vacation and actually makes me enjoy my home more.
You will not regret hiring SLS, other than that you may become addicted to getting your stuff cleared out!

He was excellent. He had good manners, neat and very clean. He was very reasonable in his pricing. He was on time and did what he said he was going to do. He kept the prices to a minimum. Overall, he was excellent. He was very pleasant, good communication and called me to let me know that he was on his way. He did excellent work and brought his own drop cloths and everything else. He did everything that I asked him too. He adjusted my fan and put some shelves together for me. He went above and beyond. I would highly recommend him. I cannot wait to use him again. He does a whole gambit of things. He had a nice binder that he pulled out and showed me pictures of the closet work that he had done. He had all of the before and after pictures. I expected to pay much more than I did for what he did. I would absolutely use him again.

We worked with Jennifer from Chesterfield Valley.  We were very picky and very detail oriented.  Jennifer was wonderful with us - no matter how often we changed our minds or how much time we took.  We love all our products and would not change one thing in our bathroom.  Henry's uses the best suppliers and the best products.  We would never think of using anyone else for a bathroom or a kitchen remodel.

They did a nice job for us. We did have a couple quotes from some other places and their quote came in a little under the others. They were even able to offer us a free upgrade on the type of wood from white to cherry. They also were able to offer some things that others weren’t such as a three level, velvet lined jewelry drawer. There were a couple little things they had to follow up on which they did.  They did a beautiful job and it was everything that we wanted. They were very professional and very customer service oriented. We are really happy with the work.

The person I spoke to on the phone to set up the appointment asked for a description of the jobs I had to make sure that she sent the person with the right skillset. The handyman arrived on time, and was quite professional and pleasant. The installation of the microwave took the most time, while the other jobs went fairly quickly except for the kitchen light.  Initially he thought that it just needed new bulbs and that did seem to take care of the problem.  However, after he left and I had to turn the light back on after it was cool, it turned out that the problem wasn't resolved.  So the next morning I called again to indicate that I still had a problem.  Arrangements were made for the gentleman to come back that afternoon on his way home.  It turned out that the light needed a new ballast, which he went to Home Depot and purchased.  My only additional cost was what he paid for the ballast.

Exceptional.  Consultation was first-rate and insightful.  Product was ready for installation almost 2 weeks ahead of schedule.  Installation was flawless.  All three closets look superb.  Everything is now neatly organized in the closets and we've got way more room for additional storage than we did before.  Workmen were neat and professional.

New Space personnel were very professional, polite, attentive, and thorough from beginning to end. The individuals that responded to my call, scheduled a designer to meet with me that had worked previously worked in my neighborhood. They gave me references to contact in advance. The designer visited with me, made sure she understood my "wish list" in terms of both "needs" and "wants". When the designer returned she had two options and quickly revised and finalized the design with a price quote in 48 hours. The installation team was courteous, very focused on a quality installation based on the design and incredible meticulous in ensuring the entry/stairs/floors and finished project were very clean. I didn't even have to sweep or vacuum after their visit! The designer followed up immediately after the installation and one week later to make sure that I was satisfied with the functionality of the design and had no issues. I will use New Space again in other areas of my house.
