Ceiling Fan Installation reviews in Chesterfield

I rated the price "Good" not "Excellent" because it was not the lowest bid I received, but I would gladly pay the higher price to receive the same work excellence. I was intially impressed by Al Birkenmeier's punctuality, efficiency, and thoroughness at the estimate stage and that impression lasted thoughout the revonation process. I was particularly impressed with the rough carpenter crew who did most of the renovation to include raising and installing a new floor over the existing floor, installing the new windows & door, insulation, drywall, and siding. They were not only proficient, but always maintained a clean work area, and were very friendly and accommodating. I valued Al's constant contact with me either by phone, text, email, or visit inquiring as to my satisfaction with the project and/or informing me as what would be the next work activity.

Installation went well since there was an existing fan being replaced. The existing fan was hooked up to a rheostat which we wanted replaced with a regular light switch. Also, the new fan's instructions warned against using a rheostat because that could cause damage to the fan. When he replaced the switch, the electrician discovered that the electricity kept tripping. It wasn't the breaker but instead a GFCI outlet in the main floor half-bath. An old GFCI outlet, combined with some extremely odd wiring. He replaced the GFCI outlet and rewired it so that the fan no longer tripped it. Because we purchased a deal for fan installation, this was extra; but well worth the amount paid. Definitely would use them again. Approximate cost of service was for the extra service related to replacing the rheostat, and tracing and resolving the GFCI problem.

We thought it would be simple, but unfortunately the previous owners had wired the fans incorrectly. Dan spent roughly 8 hours at our house hanging lights and then trying to sort through the messed up electrical. He was honest that he needed help, so the next day Tim came to evaluate. It was a job for an electrician so Tim contacted someone he works with often who was able to get out in a couple days. I was afraid of how much it would cost for all the time - but Tim was more than fair with the billing and even though they left with much of the work undone - they were super easy to work with and none of the issues were their fault. I would definitely trust them to deal honestly and fairly with clients. Which is super important.

paid extra for extra work other than the one electrician for two hours or two for one hour work. lack of communication, one old light fixture was put back up when I had already put one half way and had the new one in package on desk and somehow the old one I wanted replaced was put back up

I have called 3 times after purchasing your "Angies List Deal".  I have sent e-mails  twice.  No one has yet contacted me!  It has now been 5 days and I would at least expect a callback to give me some idea about when they could perform a service.

Reinhold Electric was one of 3 electric companies that gave me a bid on aforementioned work. I went with them due to the professionalism of Dave Deaton and also their competitive pricing. Glen, the electrician sent to do the work, exceeded my expectations with the quality of work done and also his professional, can-do attitude.

It was good. They could have been there on time. They could have taken less time covering the furniture and more time working. I just wanted them to be done with the process and it took them three different days. I did talk to the girl and said, "Okay, I want to make sure that this is done in a timely manner. I've got an appointment at noon and they have to be out here before noon." They did do it when I asked the girl when she was making sure that this was all going well.

Buyer be aware?.  If you purchase a ceiling fan from Metro Lighting and the fan starts to make noise after a year in-service; the first thing they want to know is who installed the fan and they try to blame the installer for the issue. Then they wipe their hands of the issue and send you directly to the manufacturer. Horrible customer service after the sale.

We were really happy with our experience with SuperDave! They were responsive, came out quickly to quote the work, and then were able to complete the job within a few days. We'll definitely be using them again!

We bought a coupon on Angies list. The electrician came out promptly and politely gave an estimate for the fans and some other projects we had in mind. We did not have any idea " how far" the coupon would go in terms of hours. The estimates for other work seemed high. We opted to just install the ceiling fans and light kits. We were charged about $50 in addition to our coupon, totaling a reasonable $135. There was no old fan removal, the boxes were in place and previously wired. Fans were already purchased. So assembly and installation only. We were pleased to get the job done and were very pleased with the work. However full price without the coupon would have been really pricey.
