How to Make Kitchen Appliances Last Longer

Appliance Repair reviews in Chesterfield

Our fridge stopped working over the weekend. We were able to get Vic to come out fairly quickly to repair. He had the needed part in the truck and fixed it fast. He also helped me vacuum the dust from the back of the fridge/coils and fixed the clogged water supply pipe to the ice maker. All in all, it was a painless process due to his excellent service and competence. I have used this company mx times now. Always delivers.

Don't call anyone else! Crews Appliance Repair is the BEST!!! I have used them twice now. Very trustworthy! Mike is very knowledgeable, professional and courteous!!! They fix your appliance right the first time and don't do more than is needed. They even guarantee their work. It's so easy to get ripped off when servicing an appliance, but this company won't rip you off.

This company has some nice people that really act like they want to help you. We were assigned Zaki through our home warranty. They took days to actually call us to set up an appt. Mark came out and looked at our fridge 2 different times. He said he would take care of us and seemed really sincere. The first time they repaired the fridge, it went from being too cold and freezing food to too hot and food was spoiling fast. We were assigned a few other companies before and after this first appt with Zaki and nothing that was being fixed actually fixed the problem. The final step (nail in the coffin for us) is Mark came out and looked at our fridge for their company's second time. He said the compressor might be going out and said he would take care of us. We didn't hear back from Mark, so I called our Home Warranty. They said they wouldn't cover the compressor or replace the fridge because Mark stated we were keeping the fridge too close to the wall. This is definitely not true. We provided pictures of the spacing of the back/sides/top of fridge to wall to Zaki and asked them to make things right with the home warranty company. The plug on the back of the fridge doesn't allow us to put the fridge too close to the wall and the side and top are at least 3-4" from wall. We had been trying to get our fridge working again through the home warranty company for 10 months at this point. Sam at Zaki said they would take care of it. They never did. This was the most horrible experience to deal with a broken fridge this long and never end up with it fixed. Sam told us they (as the appliance company) get rated lower by the Home Warranty company when they recommend an appliance needs replacing. Overall Zaki's talk didn't match their walk; they said they would take care of us but they ultimately told the home warranty what they thought they had to in order to protect their relationship with that company. Two unfortunate things: that the home warranty company rates their service providers in such a way that discourages replacement when it is necessary and that Zaki didn't take care of us like they kept saying they would. Very disappointed.

Randy was great and came the same day that I called about a leaking dishwasher. He quickly determined what was broken and ordered the part. He returned a few days later with the part and fixed it made sure everything was working properly. Both times, he arrived on time and was very professional. Hopefully we won't need any appliance repaired soon but if I did American Appliance would be my first call

Mike S did a professional job after making an estimate on day 1 and returning with parts on day 2. He basically had to take the whole dryer apart to install a rear bearing kit and front bearing with glides. He also cleaned the areas that we can't access with normal care.

I have to deal with this company simply because there is no other choice to service my Fisher Pykel fridge. First, I had to call the manufacturer and they were nice enough to cover their initial visit and send them the parts for repair free of charge. Then their tech shows up three weeks later, spends 2.5 hours replacing the harness (half an hour was spent to call manufacturer to confirm that the new color of the harness is okay...). So the harness was replaced, but the problem still remains. I got charged $150, nothing was fixed and they claim that when the tech came back to verify everything was working. If only I press harder on the water dispenser. Very unpleasant experience. I will probably get a different fridge if it breaks again so I do not have to deal with Mid America "service"

Mike told me my old washer was not worth repairing since there were several things wrong with it. He took the time to show me each of the problems it had. Although no work was done, the $59 service call fee was very reasonable compared to similar fees from other companies. If a repair had been done, the service call fee would have been free with the coupon I printed from Angie's List.

Mike did an outstanding job. Getting the glass pieces out of the unit was a challenge. Mike was not satisfied until he was certain the unit was clear of all debris. The day before the appointment for the dishwasher work, my wash machine would not start. Mike was kind of enough to look at the machine, He identified the problem and had it fixed in under 2 minutes at no additional charge to me. I was very appreciative. Great guy, I will definitely being using this company again.

Above and Beyond was sent out by our home warranty service. The technician was pleasant and professional however he was not able to locate the gas leak on our gas range. The gas company has been out three times to check the range and has indicated a leak each time. The A&B tech said no leak was present and now the warranty company will not pay our claim to restore the range to working order. The tech was going to leave the range on with gas on, i have a wife and young child at home. I am not going to risk their safety when the gas company has confirmed there is a problem. I am going to error on the side of caution. I would not recommend using this company. Update: Our home warranty company sent A&B out again, and again after gas company determined a leak was present, A&B could not. That isn't as upsetting as finding out the the owner of A&B told the home warranty company that they ran tests on the oven for hours to confirm no leak was present. That is an outright lie. The tech from A&B was never in our home for more than 60 min on either visit. I will be filing a claim with the better business bureau, stay away from this company.

I was very pleased and impressed with Crews Appliance. I received a quick response to my request for service even though I called at 6:30 at night. The owner took my service call and had Mike return my call to schedule an appointment for the next day. Mike arrived on time, diagnosed the problem and repaired the dryer at a minimal cost. I will definately call Crews Appliance the next time I need any appliance repaired.
