    I was using another service provider and they were not honest with me so I changed to American Home Shield. I have used them before but I went to another service provider because it was cheaper but the service was much worse.

    I got Dave's name from Angie's List.  I was immediately impressed with his knowledge and professionalism.  My husband and I are an older couple who decided we wanted an attached villa for our new home--a home with maintenance provided in the HOA fee.  Dave found our "dream home" within a week -- and he helped us every step of the way with offers, counter offers, arranging inspections, and answering all our questions and concerns.  We found and purchased this home before we even listed our old home--which was a concern in a poor market and with an unusual home to sell.
    Dave helped us by coming out and telling me how to get the old house ready for sale and then came out and took many wonderful pictures for the listing--they were so good, I was wondering why I ever decided to move!   I'm sure the pictures in the multiple listing online were the reason we had so many potential buyers come to see the house.
     
    It took 5 months to sell the house (which was actually fast considering the sluggish market and the fact that we were in the middle of winter)--with three different contracts before the final closing.   Dave helped us through the entire process--even finding contractors to do needed work on the house before selling and dealing with every problem that arose in the process.  He was always available to us when needed and responded quickly to my emails and calls.  I could not have found a better realtor--Dave was always professional and knowledgeable, but his personality and sense of humor made the whole process easier for us.  I believe Angie's List helped me find the best realtor in the St. Louis area, David Tedoni.

    Choice Home Warranty
    I don't care for them. I called them about my ice maker and they said they even though refrigeration was a category, they don't do ice makers. I had to find someone else. It seems like it was a conflict of what they say they will cover and what they will actually do. I did have them fix my A/C this past summer.

    I started looking for a home in St. Louis, in early February of 2015. I had no experience in purchasing a home in St. Louis. This was going to be my very first home by myself. I was very nervous and had no clue what to look for or how to get there. Ildiko was refereed to me by a co-worker who had used her in the past. She was a wonderful blessing. She was very patient with me, she answered all my questions. She was very understanding of my needs and asked questions to help me get a clearer picture of exactly what I was looking for. She went to look at home even when she know I would not like them, but she allowed me to see what the market had to offer. She guided me through the home buying process and made what could have been a very overwhelming process for a single woman, so very smooth and a true blessing. She walked me through my closing and made sure that the choices I made where to my benefit. I am adding her to this site because I believe she is a wonderful agent and would be a wonderful blessing to anyone who selects her to guide them through the home buying process. I closed on my home on March the 2, 2015. I am up at 3 am typing this message because that is how wonderful Ildiko is at her job.

    ABC Quality Moving & Storage
    Michael came out on 11/4 to give me an estimate for the move--we discussed the need for care because of my new hardwood floors at the new villa.  On moving day, Chris, Ed, and Kyler arrived on time.  They worked quickly and took extreme care with my furniture.  At the villa, they unloaded and placed the furniture exactly where I wanted it.  They put floor coverings down to protect my new hardwood floors.  They even helped me put floor protectors on all necessary furniture legs.  They were very understanding and helpful when I changed my mind about where I wanted furniture placed and were willing to put items wherever I wanted them--even when I decided that the 10 boxes of books they had put in the basement needed to come back upstairs.  They were all friendly and professional--I could not have asked for better assistance for my move.  Not one item was damaged or missing.  The moving cost was spot on with the estimate from Michael.  I would recommend this company highly.  If I ever move again (and I hope I don't), I would not hesitate to call them.l

    Tope Sewer
    I had called two plumbing companies prior to calling Tope.  The first charged me $295 but was unable to give me a DVD because there equipment for making one was broken.  They offered to come back in 10-14 days to make the DVD but said they would have to charge me an additional $50.  The second company assured me that they would provide me with a DVD and charged me $300.  Neither company had traced the lateral line or marked it so I could get bids from them or any other company.  We were unable to use our sewer system until the problem was fixed (we eventually had to go for an entire week without putting anything into the sewer line--no showers, laundry, cooking, toilet--for a week).  Thank goodness I called Tope and talked to Kerry on Sunday.  He worked me into his schedule for the next day and came to my house at 4.  He did a fantastic job of making a DVD (with voiceover comments) of the entire sewer lateral which was over 200 feet long.  He also traced and marked the sewer lateral to the main and gave me a drawing with all that information.  He determined that there was no problem with our sewer lateral (after one other company guesstimated that $30,000 might be a little low for replacing the entire lateral)--but that the problem was either with the ejector pump or the lack of a check valve.  I went back to the company that had installed the ejector pump.  They evaluated the situation and decided a check valve was needed and installed it.
    I cannot stress how wonderful it was to have Kerry help me in this situation.  We were so distraught over the possibility of have to spend tens of thousands of dollars--and not even having the information from the first two companies to get estimates from other companies without having to pay more camera fees.  Plus we had been trying to exist without being able to put anything into the drains for days.  And Tole charged me half the amount the others did for the camera work.
    When Kerry left he gave me his number and told me to call if I had any questions--or if whoever was going to deal with the pump problem needed to talk to him.

    Two Men And A Truck
    I called on a Monday and was on the schedule that Thursday. The lady answering the phone was helpful in determining how much time it would take to move. I gave her an estimate of the items we wanted to move and she told me the prices. There is a travel charge which gets the truck to the initial location. There is a slightly higher hourly rate for moving on a Friday or Saturday, which is to be expected I suppose since that is probably when a lot of people want to move.
    Justin and Danny were sent to move us. They called about an hour before the expected time to say they were running early and could we accommodate that. We could, so they came over, and walked through the house to identify what should go. Then they were off and they hustled for the next three hours. They carefully wrapped everything in pads and shrink-wrap. They disassembled (and subsequently reassembled) two beds. They really worked hard to get items upstairs and out of the basement. They were very courteous to not ding walls or doors or step in the garden. They verified a few times to ensure an item was going but they didn't stand around to chat, they were really moving.
    After a quick break (which is deducted from your hourly charge and you are not charged for it) they were at the new house, and did a walk-through to see where items should go. They they went right to emptying the truck, removing the shrink wrap and pads, and getting items into place. They checked items to ensure they were not broken and reassembled shelving and beds.
    I was very pleased with the service and thought the price was reasonable for what they did for us. They moved a lot of big, heavy, bulky items that would have taken us and friends much longer to accomplish.

    ABC Quality Moving & Storage
    Everyone at ABC Quality Movers that I had contact with was wonderful.  Starting with the initial phone call for a quote, Christine answered all my questions.  She was very nice and professional the whole time.  I was pretty stressed since it was a move for my new bosses, but the ABC team put me at ease.  Walt, Timmy and Kevin were effecient and easy going even though we had a crazy moving deadline.  They pulled it off and I am very grateful for all their help.  I would highly recommend this moving company for office moves anytime.

    Anchor Moving Co
    Everything went fine and only one piece was broken. It was a very cheap cabinet and it probably would have broken if we had moved it too. Other than that they did a good job and did it a lot faster than they had estimated. Faster is good because it is cheaper. I will use them again in the future.
