    Jerry Kelly Heating & Air Conditioning
    The technician came and spent a long time with the furnace. He came back up the stairs and told us he needed to show us a picture of a crack in our heat exchanger on our furnace. He showed us a couple pictures but all I could see was a gray line and no crack. The technician told us that if that the crack would get bigger and they would have to shut our gas off. He said we needed to buy a new furnace very soon before the crack gets bigger and they would have to shut our gas off. He pulled out a price sheet and showed us prices of furnaces and air conditioners. I did some research and found out that if there was a crack in our furnace they would have to shut the gas off immediately. I also called another company to check to see if we had a cracked furnace. The 2nd company could not find any cracks after thoroughly checking the furnace. The 2nd company's technician pulled out the paper informational receipt that Jerry Kelly left here from their last visit from the pocket near the furnace and showed me that it said safety check no crack. It was all a scam to get us to spend thousands of dollars on a new furnace. The year before they came out and replaced 3 parts on our furnace, charged almost $800 and told us we should be good for another couple years. Then this year they tell us lies and that we need a new furnace.

    They came right out to determine why our furnace wasn't working. After telling us the repair cost (about $500) the Averill rep advised us that we might want to consider replacing the furnace, since it was over 20 years old. We requested an estimate on a new furnace and the installation manager came right out to give us a price. He suggested that we consider replacing the AC as well, since it was also more than 20 years old. He told us the amount of money that we would save if we did both at once. He gave us prices for the various options and asked us to let him know what we decided. There was absolutely no pressure to do anything. After talking it over, we decided to replace both the furnace and the AC, due to the age of the equipment and the probability of more trouble in the future. They came back the next day and had the whole thing finished shortly after noon. Several things were done on their own to result in a better system, such as raising the furnace off the concrete floor so water wouldn't get in it if the floor drain backed up, which has happened before.
    We have been using Averill for many years and have always had good, prompt service.

    we met all the guys that day. someone came and pulled  out the old furnace and some one else came and installed new on. they were here 13 hours that day but they were not leaving til the job was done

    Very quick response to my inquiry through Angie's list. They set up a time the same day at a convenient time for me. The technician was very professional and informative. He found the problem and explained our options. He readily answerd all of my questions. Unfortunately the part we needed had to be ordered, but whatever the technician did helped to limp our A/C along until the parts arrived. When they arrived a couple days later they set up another appointment same day at a convenient time for us and did the repair job quickly and professionally. They even cleaned our A/C unit. Because we also signed up for their annual maintenance contract we saved on our repair. I would definately call them again.

    It went very well and I highly recommend Quality Home Solutions.  This company consists of three brothers who each have their own specialty.   After they were finished it was as if we lived in a brand new home.  They were very courteous and professional.  They arrived when they said they would and had the jobs completed in a timely manner.  Their work product is superior.  Best we have ever had.

    The tech, Brian, was extremely knowledgeable and showed me several things which could make my AC run better, all of them related to the blower which we had suspected was running inefficiently.  (Last summer when it was 70 degrees downstairs, the 2nd floor was 88.)   One thing we agreed to do, which he suggested, was making a different slot for the filter and using a larger capacity filter.  This meant cutting into the duck work.  The old filter was a royal pain to change, having been put in an extremely awkward location.  Now I have an easy to change filter and it is larger for more airflow.  The work increased the air output by 32% and decreased the electricity used by 25%.  After last summer's electric bills, I am delighted!
    The tech and his company impressed me enough that I also bought their yearly maintenance contract with many extra discounts which, unlike others I have been offered, can be done monthly at $13.99 which is much more palatable then a lump sum .
    And here's the kicker - he was here just over 4 hours and the price did not go up.  They charge for the job being done, not an hourly rate.  I more than got my money's worth today and highly recommend them.

    Postitive. They were professional, knowledgeable and timely. It did take me 3 phone calls and 3 different representatives, two of whom, left the company and never returned a bid. OK, maybe not so timely. The third time I spoke to Dennis and he and everyone after that was great. My 3rd sales rep. Steve and the lead installer Mark were really great. I use Scott-Lee for all my service needs and have no problem recommending them. I believe that the first two representatives were likely just poor timing on my part.

    Repairman (I believe it was Tony) was polite and efficient. Knowledgeable. No complaints. Price seemed reasonable. Did not receive call prior to arriving to give a 2 hour window for arrival (We were told we would receive that). That was the only negative but not too important for us since we are retired. I called and got the 2 hour window, and the repairman arrived during the promised time.
