Countertop Installation reviews in Blue Springs

The is the 2nd time we have used Double C. They replaced our kitchen counter tops last October and they did such a GREAT job, we decided to use them again. We were not disappointed. It definitely upgraded our bathrooms. We love our new bathroom counter tops and sinks.

We love it! Scott and Lance did an awesome job. They did great on our installation and cleaning things up. We felt so comfortable with them that we gave them our garage door opener to finish the job without us at home. We would definitely hire again.

I would like to start by saying, the kitchen looks great. It is beautiful and we have had tons of compliments on how it turned out. However, the process getting to that point was extremely frustrating and difficult. The project was supposed to last 6 weeks and it took almost 4 months. Many of the subcontractors did low quality work that had to be redone throughout the entire project. Wrong sizes of cabinets were ordered and had to be reordered. Cabinets were dented/scratched during install that also had to be reordered (some were never reordered and we are just living with it). Communication was poor throughout the project, and the owner, Bryce, was not only rude, but was not true to his word on multiple occasions. Our project manager Nate was not without flaw, as his communication could have been better as well, but he was at least gracious and apologetic when he made a mistake. This was very different from Bryce, the owner who tried to blame anyone but himself. Nate worked hard to make the flaws and mistakes right again, Bryce on the other hand, alluded that we were too picky and that we should be okay with the low quality of work. In the end, when they continued to not complete all of the punch list items, my husband and I finally started fixing the rest of the items ourselves. This all occurred between July and October of 2015. After completion of the project, our dishwasher never seemed to work quite right. We called multiple times and finally a GE repair person came to take a look in February. What he discovered was that Cabinet Clad had hooked the dishwasher up to the cold water line instead of hot, causing the dishwasher to trip a fuse. We called Bryce to have him send someone out to fix it. He said he would, but that WE would have to pay for it (so don't believe the one year warranty stated on their website.) Bryce then asked to speak with the GE repair man that was there so that he could understand the issue. When he got off the phone, the repairman said he was extremely condescending to him. This, to a complete stranger! Nate was then scheduled to come out first thing Friday morning. He didn't show and rescheduled for Saturday at noon. I cancelled my plans Saturday to be there for his appointment and he did not show again and also did not call or text to say he wasn't coming or to reschedule. I text him twice with no response. Frustrated, we called someone else to come over and fix the issue costing us more money. (Again, don't believe the warranty they claim.) During the process of fixing it, it was discovered that Cabinet Clad also hooked up the water lines to our kitchen heater incorrectly and it has been dripping water under our kitchen floor, into our basement, and through the walls since installation. After a month of chasing Bryce again to fix the issue, the leak, new tile, and new drywall was finally fixed. I would like to reiterate that the finished product looks great, but it was quite a headache to get to the finish.

It was not a quick process because of the water damage and waiting on the cabinets we picked out to ship but overall it was a great experience. Brian, Carlos & Joe were the main workers we had at the house - they were respectable, polite, and very informative - making sure we understood each step of the process. Brian started with the dirty work of removing the water damage, repairing drywall, replacing subfloors, installing laminate plank flooring, adding can lights, and fixing our lose electrical boxes. The cabinets we picked had to be assembled which took a day of work and then Carlos stepped in to complete the cabinets, build our countertops, install baseboards, add hardware, and basically put everything in place. Joe did an amazing job on our tile, AMAZING! We picked a hand sculpted glass tile that was a bit more tedious than we expected but Joe worked his magic and really made the kitchen, the tile is everything I hoped it would be and more - it's the focal point and looks fabulous. Brian helped to finish up the plumbing to get us back in business and Carlos has been worked to wrap up the little details and honey do list of things that needed completed to give our kitchen the finished touch. Everything turned out so well - we did not replace a set of upper cabinets to open the space more and added in a pantry - both Doug's ideas, we are so glad we listened because it changed the whole dynamic of our home. We also went with another of Doug's ideas and added in a breakfast bar which we are loving.
Doug was on top of the project the whole time, keeping us updated and checking in nearly daily. We liked that he let his workers be in charge of the day to day activity though, it made things flow well and allowed us the ability to schedule the next steps with them directly, which worked well with our schedule. Not having done anything like this before was scary but we felt confident in Doug and trusted his word and he proved that he knows what he is doing!
The only real issue we had was with 2 contractors who said they came to our home to work but never showed up, that was an extremely frustrating situation and we thought it would set us back even farther in the time line but Doug stepped up and sent others out right away. It was a frustrating situation for him too but he made it right and got things rolling in the midst of it all. We were very appreciative of his extra effort, especially in a situation that was out of his control.
We have recommended Leawood Kitchen and Bath to many already and will continue to do so - we will also be using them again in the future as we do more home upgrades. The pricing was fair and below cost for the other estimates we got and the work is quality! Doug's honesty and ideas were a breath of fresh air for us in our messy kitchen, which is now our favorite room in the house!!!

Wonderfully! I worked with Brenda Carrico and she was awesome. She was very helpful in helping us pick out our countertops and all of the little details that go with that, including what edges would work best with our tile design. She never made me feel bad about being picky, which I am. They sell a lot of different countertops, but Cambria is what we used and is the only US manufacturer of quartz countertops. Price was great, Cambria doesn't nickel and dime you with different prices for different colors and most of the edges you can pick. One set price. BEAUTIFUL countertops and large samples (12 x 12) which really helped to take home and try. Install from their company was equally awesome, the guys were great and even went to Home Depot to pick up a nonstandard brushed nickel drain for the sink for us. Could not have been nicer. We love the countertops. We used Cambria Bellingham and Cambria Armitage. We will use Double C again when it comes time for future remodeling work.

These folks are great!  Everything went perfectly.  They showed up on time and did everything exactly as promised.  We had a lot of projects going at the same time and much of it was contingent on their promptness and they delivered.  There were several steps involved from measuring, tear out, plumbing, and installation.  Each worker was polite and careful to explain what they were doing and cleaned up nicely before they left.  We will definitely call them first on any future projects.  We love the granite counter tops!  The product is very nice even though we chose one of the less expensive slabs.  Everyone who has seen them has commented on how beautiful they are.

The quality of the cabinet maker was very good. I get lots of compliments. . The installer of the cabinets was also good. The cabinet maker I recommend. I do not recommend their subcontractor that did my remodeling.
