  • I had McCorkendale give me an estimate for the brake work. A while later, I brought the vehicle in for that service. The price had risen by over 20% with no reasonable explanation and then they found a laundry list of things to fix totaling an additional $600. Just for a second opinion, I declined and brought the vehicle to my dealership and my usual mechanic. Both agreed that the rotors were fine (saving $450) and the other work they wanted to do had just been done or was not needed. When I went to pick up the vehicle, McCorkendale charged me to look at it. Neither my dealer or usual mechanic charge for that diagnosis. McCorkendal's may be a good shop, but my experience was similar to other mechanics who give a low estimate to get your vehicle in, then find a $1000 worth of other things that you "should" have done. Trust is really important with auto mechanics and they have lost mine.

  • They do a good job, but they try to sell you more things than whats wrong with the car. Generally speaking, you get good service but you got to be careful and don't bite into their... They're just trying to push business, and I don't like that. You don't sell service that you don't need.

  • I went there because of the good reviews and told them the problem that needed fixed. They called and said it would be $700, wanted to replace parts that had literally been replaced less than a week before, and told me I needed to replace parts that had nothing to do with my problem. Said they would fix all or nothing. I picked it up after paying just for the estimate. And got the parts for $126 but when I went to replace them, they had put my lug nuts back on so tight that I couldn't get it with a 4 way and broke 2 ratchets trying to get them off. I can only assume they did it on purpose because the guy on the phone sounded irritated that I questioned him for wanting to replace parts I'd already replaced.

  • First communication was by email. They responded that way, as well. I liked that. Their emails were legible, complete and useful.

    The final "wrap up" email, sent on the same day the service was done, detailed what was done and what we could expect in the near future.

    My 22-year-old daughter took the car in, and she did not feel any pressure and did not feel that she was talked down to.

  • We have used Dilday-specifically Glenn for years to do the mechanical work on our auto and marine vehicles.  We own a business that requires our work trucks to be in great shape all the time - when they go down, we lose money - Glenn has done a great  job maintaining them and working quickly to repair when one goes down.  They also have done terrific maintenance on our boats. We have found them to be caring, ethical and efficient - a rare combo in the automotive industry.

  • Brian and James  looked at my airconditioner and explained what needed to be done in a way I could understand. Their pricing was not out of sight but very fare.   • They almost killed me. I'm never going back there again. They didn't tighten my brake caliber back on. My brakes fell off on the highway. I was pretty pissed off. They gave me $20 to replace the bolt. I wish they would have fixed it a little better. They were friendly, but they didn't do the work right.

  • They're an excellent mechanic. They've done great work for me and their prices have been reasonable. Anytime I've had any kind of complaint, I come up to their attention and they take care of it immediately. Every time I have car problems, that's where I go.

  • My normal provider was booked, but decided to try Midwest based on good reviews.  I had to head out of town for Christmas and they got me right in, called with the problems and an estimate.  They were clear on things that needed done now versus at a later date to help reduce cost.  They had me fixed and on the road when I needed to be.  I'm not sure on pricing because I didn't price any other repair shops, but they were extremely kind, clear in their explanations and attentive to our needs.  They even gave rides back to our house after we dropped the car off.  I would definitely recommend and use again!
