    Choice Home Warranty
I filed a report over a week ago, STILL NOT FIXED CHW drag their feet to get back with anyone, then they don't cover major items, it's like getting full coverage on your car and if something happens the insurance company says Gee we don't cover everything, I guess that's on you! CHW is a scam to screw people out of their hard earned money.

Unsatisfied customers Contacted and had someone come out on a free service call. Removed a sock from the dryer drum and was told it would cost $149 labor and that it was an additional $149 for the washer. 20 minutes later, was told the problem was a filter on the washer-which did not require disassembly, just a quick rinse. . Total $320. Felt like it was too expensive for the time the contractor was here. Upon first wash, washer still had the same problem-not progressing to rinse and spin cycle. Contacted the company the next morning and they said the work is guaranteed and there would not be a fee. The next business day the contractor returned and after 10 minutes said the board was broken and would need complete replacement. Estimated $300 for parts plus labor. Judging off of the first visit, this would be an additional $400-$600. When I asked about the initial charges and why he didnt identify the problem the first time, I was told that he didnt charge me for the washer the first time and that the $320 included $149 service call fee and $149 labor plus tax. That is not what my receipt says nor is it what I was told 2 business days before. As the washer only costs $599 to buy as a scratch and dent from NFM and is 2 years old, I decided to not be ripped off further and manually add the rinse and spin cycle to each load. The same I as I was doing prior to repair. We were clearly given the run around and I do not recommend doing business with this company.

Upon assessment, they determined that the repair should be under our warranty and if it was not, then the cost of the repair would exceed the current value of the refrigerator and it would not be worth our money to make the repair. We appreciated their honesty and they made a recommendation that had our best financial interest in mind.

I called and made an appointment for a service technician to come out on the day after I called. About 1/2 hour before the scheduled time, the technician called and said he was on his way, and asked about the refrigerator (brand, what the trouble was, etc.) All fine. When he arrived at the house, he said that they do not work on this brand of refrigerator and he left. He recommended that I call another service like Factory Direct Appliance. I called the office and asked how it is that this is a problem, and was told that there are "new girls in the office" that don't know to ask how old the refrigerator is. Apparently, the refrigerator is new enough that it isn't actually a Whirlpool, it's a Whirlpool branded LG (which they apparently don't work on).

On time for appointment. Did not have the part, so fixed temporary so that dryer was useable. Part ordered and installed a week later. Professional and quick to determine what was wrong and to install part. No service call charge when returned with part to install.

I think he did a pretty good job. Just one person came to complete the service. I believe they actually had to come back a second time because they didn't have something they needed, so overall it took 3 hours. It was clean when they left it. They did a good job explaining what was wrong and what was suggested to fix it. My first impression was good. He was nice.

    Turner Consumer Service
Turner's technicians were outstanding. They came out to my home eight times altogether and replace almost every component of the dryer. Unfortunately, the dryer is a lemon and is going to have to be replaced. Right now I am dealing with the warranty provider to replace the machine, but I want to give hats off to Turner and its technicians for trying everything possible to fix the dryer. They were prompt, professional, and knowledgeable. They did everything is their power to try to keep me from having to go through the hassle of getting a new unit because these warranty companies can be a major pain to deal with when they have to replace an expensive appliance.

I described the problem (freezer not cooling) over the phone and the customer service representative stated that she'd try to get someone right out. I told her that I'm at work and asked how late they send out service calls. She said, "We're open until 5:00, let me check the schedule." She came back on and told me she could schedule my repair 2 weeks from today. I said, "What if I take time off work during the day?" She replied that she can, "only schedule you 2 weeks from now." I was very polite and was willing to take time off to work my problem into their schedule. Draw your own conclusions about that conversation...

My washing machine quit working on a Sunday evening and I called and left a message. Mike called me the next morning. Told him I lived alone and would not be available that day and asked if he could come out later in the week and in the afternoon so I could leave work and meet him at my home. The next day he called me at work and asked if I could be there between 2:30 and 3:00 and I told him I would be there. He arrived at 2:30 and quickly diagnosed the problem which was a bad electrical part. He had the part in his van and the washing machine was working perfectly by 3:00. The total cost was $165 which was less than I expected. He was personable and professional and made sure it was working properly before he left. His business card is now on my refrigerator and I will definitely call him the next time I need any repairs.

Not quite as simple as it sounds. Food was cooking in the oven. A child pushed the oven's self-cleaning lever into the cleaning mode. An attempt was made to reverse the action but the safety mechanism would not allow the  action. Too much pressure was applied and the cleaning lever was bent which kept the oven door locked with food still on the inside. After the oven & I both cooled down, Able was called. The tech arrived in a timely manner. Joshua was initially unable to  release the locking mechanism and had to open the door by disengaging the hinges at the bottom of the oven. After the door was off of the oven he straighten the locking mechanism & reinstalled the door. A part was also needed to repair the door handle. The part was not available from the manufacturer. Joshua research e-bay, found the the part, and I was able to order it.
