    St. Luke's Hospitals will not accept me for tests because I have and quot;EXCHANGE INSURANCEand quot;. I have BCBS Preferred Care Blue but since I just recently got it, they will not accept it.

    Turned TV on Monday morning and two seconds later it went black, tried a few more times and nothing. Called Panasonic and they recommended this company. Called Overland TV, the receptionist was very courteous. She asked a few questions then promptly set up appointment for the next day. She called and reminded me Tuesday morning then repair person called 30 minutes before he arrived to make sure I was home. He was friendly and professional. After removing back of TV, he could plainly see five years of dust and crud build up. We took TV outside, vacuumed and blew off all dust and removed couple of parts and cleaned those. He explained how to clean in future and guaranteed for 30 days. I thought price was fair and appreciated the work.

    I was admitted on the 17th, in labor with my first child. I stayed for 2 days. Everything went very well! The staff was wonderful. All of the nurses were very helpful. They have nurses that are trained as lactation consultants, so there was always someone willing to help me through the process of breastfeeding. There was a nurse there to help me with breastfeeding about 45 mins after she was born. They also sent a lactation consultant to my room the next morning. The food was pretty good. However, I personally had to order about 3 entrees to fill myself. The staff was very caring and friendly. They were always willing to answer any questions I had. The hospital also has a photographer come in and do newborn pictures that you can order. I thought it was a nice touch. The worst part of the entire process was waiting to be discharged!! I was so anxious to get home with our new little one! Everything went like a charm. I will say, though, the extra "bed" they provide is not very comfortable for the significant other to sleep on. My husband was very glad to get to sleep in a normal bed once we made it home.

    As soon as they got me in a bed they drew blood from my port access and the doctor came in and told me they knew I had a infection but did not know what kind and the results from the blooded draw we would know in an hour. The nurse came back in and finished up admission forms and told me they were going to give me an IV antibotic . When blood results came in the doctor came back in and told me they were admitted me and sent me upstairs to my room.
    Once in my room the nurse and the CPI came in and got me settled and told me they were going to take some more blood and start me on IV fluids. Then they told me what doctors would be coming to see me that day and why. That evening the Infectious dieasese doctor came in and told me what I had. I was seen the following day by a oncologist, regular doctor, infectious dieasese and went for a ultrasound of the left breast and a CT scan of the neck. There was not a day that at least one doctor or nurse practioner did not come in and tell me what was going on and why. I was in the hospital for five days and the nurses and CPI's were great. They came when I needed help and checked on me when I didn't . They have called me twice since I have been home to make sure I am doing fine. I am so glad they were there when I needed them.

    The emergency room at Research Belton Hospital was a very good experience. We walked in around dinner time and were surprised when we didn't have to wait in the waiting room. They took my wife straight back, found out what the issue was, and then did a CAT Scan. Within 45 minutes they had diagnosed bleeding on the brain. The only negative we had was that it was originally diagnosed as an aneurysm which was incorrect. Once the bleeding in the brain was diagnosed the Emergency room at Research Belton Hospital arranged for my wife to be transferred to the main Research hospital in Kansas City.

    Although an overall successful conclusion of the matter was achieved, the overall experience as a consumer and patient was poor at best.

    This experience from start to finish was mentally trying due to:
    • A hospital service provider that failed to take the leadership role in negotiating with the health insurance provider to resolve the denied claim with minimal interface with the patient. The patient has neither been trained or is knowledgeable of the daily operations of hospital billing systems.
    • Research Belton Hospital Billing Agents that were not knowledgeable or cared to handle the patients concern for resubmitting insurance claims. The agent central focus and only focus was and quot;Show Me The Moneyand quot;.

    The next closest hospital to this provider is 9 miles away. Even in an emergency, I will choose the alternate hospital in lieu of the services offered this medical provider.

    Anthony Plumbing Heating & Cooling
    Called company to request technician to look over furnace at home. They determined that the furnace needed to be repaired. I was told to contact the sales department to set up an appointment to look at the measurements of the furnace, etc. 2 days later I was given a quote on the furnace and told that they needed to install a chimney liner and pipes. A couple of days later, they came and installed the new unit.
