    BETTER GUYS E & I
Otis Woods, owner of this business who is a felon, was hired to be a handyman, meaning fix simple things here and there. THIS MAN STOLE CREDIT CARD INFORMATION, RAN UP FRAUDULENT CHARGES, AND LEFT WITHOUT FIXING A THING!! He convinced my elderly boss that he was a contractor and could fix ANYTHING, which is far from the truth. I had to hire REAL PROFESSIONAL CONTRACTORS TO COME IN AND FIX THE DAMAGE HE LEFT BEHIND. This man currently has a bench warrant for his arrest, as he stole tools from our home. Google him and you can find his mug shots (plural) along with reasons for his arrests. DO NOT ALLOW THIS MAN INTO YOUR HOME!!

    Honey Do's Solutions LLC
I had them again. That company was great. They showed up when they were supposed to. They were just pretty. He was here two days. It was the ceiling my sunroom, he had to do some and let it dry. Then, come back the next day. I don't know what it's called, it was hanging down, he had to really almost had to almost go from scratch. He did a lot of work there. I didn't get any other prices, I didn't try to get anybody else because they're reliable, the kind of people you can leave in your house when you are gone, so I didn't look for anybody else. I really don't have any problems with them.

    Dan Weber General Construction LLC
Very smooth - Dan is great and very easy to work with. The bid was also very competitive with other companies even though we liked Dan the best, so it was an easy choice. I also like that Dan kept in touch with us to make sure we were happy and well-informed throughout the process. And he happily tweaked anything needed along the way to make sure we were happy with everything. Will definitely work with Dan (and Ryan) again.

    Chesterfield Fence & Deck Company

Chesterfield Fence and Deck provided a professional job from start to finish.   We needed to replace our deck due to some foundation settling on our home on the wall adjacent to the deck, so the large, 15 year old cedar deck was removed by the other contractor.   Kevin Gallas, the salesman for CF&D, walked us through the options for a replacement, to include cedar and Vekadeck, and worked with us to come up with a plan that was attractive and functional, meeting the mobility needs of my wife who uses an electric scooter.

Ben and his construction team were top notch, telling us exactly what they were going to do and then doing it professionally and correctly, the first time.  The construction of the deck is extremely strong, and the finished surfaces are beautiful, with neighbors already complementing us on its appearance.   Ben and the team cleaned up the site completely when done, and once the re-seeded areas have grown back, will be a highlight of our home.

    Keimar General Contracting Inc
We received bids from several contractors, decided on Keimar based on price and how well they understood our objectives.  We could not be more pleased with the results.
Keith, Keimar president, was great.  He was an active project manager, arrived every morning during construction to guide the crew and was always available if we had questions along the way.
His sub-contractors were good, particularly the carpentry sub. There were some challenges finding materials to match the existing siding, and in connecting the porch roof to the existing roof, but it all turned out great.
Finally the concrete sub he uses was also excellent, we used him not only for the porch footings and floor but also the driveway and patios we installed.
Very happy, would definitely recommend Keimar General Contracting Inc.

Patriot Sunrooms & Home Solutions Inc
My wife contacted them and the Salesman Mel Hope came out to our house last week on 1/18/2014. He also invited us to their showroom and looked at several different sunrooms. My wife and I discussed the costs and decided that even though it was a Winter Sale price that we couldn't really afford it.
We are very impressed with their product and material but the cost is why we decided not to continue on the project. And Mel was very professional, very low pressure, and came across as being very honest.

Champion Windows and Home Exteriors of St. Louis
The project went great. They were very efficient, friendly and prompt. I couldn't have been more pleased with the service. They quality of work is excellent and the warranty they offer is great. One of the owners was in town from Ohio and he paid us a visit to see how the project was going.

    J Smith Builders
They were fabulous. They cleaned up everything.  They were incredibly polite.  They worked so hard even with the terrible heat.  They were fast and every time I need work I will call them.  Their prices are also reasonable.

Champion Windows and Home Exteriors of St. Louis
Our experience with Champion has been, to say the very least, disappointing. The sales experience was very good, but as soon as we started dealing with the project manager things started to go downhill. The lack of communication has been shocking. So many things could have been resolved with a simple phone call. Our start time of our screen room was to be 8-11 weeks from our deposit. No problem. Mid-May we were told by the "Project Manager" that we would get started in two weeks. Perfect, a bit early! Now, since he is the project manager we had to trust that he could correctly estimate a start time. Two weeks went by with no call. When we finally got an answer from the project manager he said we were waiting on the permit from the city. Again, more time passed with no communication. So I started investigating. I called the city & the permit had been applied for May 30th! I don't mind the delay if it was communicated. I do not at all care for dishonesty. A few days before our scheduled start date we noticed that the utility marking service hadn't been out. It is apparently the law in our area before a project begins and our utilities are buried & we know the electric is several feet from where the work would be. Shockingly the project manager made the comment "we will make sure it's ok". This was surprising as I'm quite certain the utility marking is no charge. After several phone calls we finally were told that the utility markers would be out prior to our job starting. The original estimate on the duration of this project was a week to 10 days. The work started June 13th, at the time of this writing, July 11th we are still not complete. Apparently they sent 2 men, without the team lead, to do a 3 man job. I do not feel that the two workers we have are incapable of completing the job, but there have been work stoppages because the guidance of a team lead was needed. It turns out that the team lead that would have been assigned to our project was out on Medical leave. I understand that these things happen. However, in true fashion of this "Project Manager" this was not communicated to us! I realize they are short handed & that is why our two guys are pulled from our job for hours at a time, further slowing this project. However, in the interest of full disclosure they should have advised us that the Team lead wasn't available & perhaps pushed our job back a week or two. No, of course that wouldn't be the ideal situation, but it would be better than wondering if we are getting what we paid for. The men working on our project do not have the guidance of their team lead. He only stops by for a few minutes each morning. This is not acceptable to us. When we expressed this concern to the Division manager we were told, it's not our concern!!! This is most definitely our concern as we are paying a premium for what is to be a quality job. It is very disappointing to learn that this is the attitude at the top of the local Champion office. July 1st, I took the time to meet with the "project manager" who stops by from time to time. When expressing my concern about the lack of a team lead, he did admit that the team lead was stopping by in the morning & spending the rest of his time at another job. I mentioned my displeasure at this & said our job should get equal time with the other project, why is our job less important? He said they were short handed & I said I do understand but it is his job as the project manager to manage this issue. I'm not sure what the answer is but maybe this whole thing would have been different had someone informed us up front and let us choose to start or delay the project based on the lack of a team lead. I also told him that there was such a lack of trust that going forward my husband or myself will be home at all times to see how it's going. His response was that's your choice, but I could tell he was irritated. This was confirmed because his next sentence was, loudly, CAN YOU BUILD THIS ROOM, CAN YOU? That was a nice touch. I again mentioned that my concern was the guys here were not benefiting from the experience & guidance of the team lead. He said it was fine. If something was wrong they could fix it later. I really do not feel that this is the answer! The way this entire project has been ‘managed’ is completely unacceptable. The sheer arrogance of these people is just amazing. It's a good thing that Champion has such a back log of work & I suppose that's why they feel that they can treat people with such disregard. As the project is not yet complete I will be sure to provide an update. However at this time, with the delays, lack of communication, laughable customer service & outright disrespect, I can safely say we will not be recommending Champion to our friends. I think it is also important to note that this attitude is clearly coming from the top, based on the Division Manager’s comments to my husband about this not being ‘our concern’. Amazing! We reached out to the Champion Corp office. They never responded.

    Aesthetic Design & Build LLC
His name is Daniel DuPuis.  He did an absolutely fantastic job in building our upper deck.  He is also a really nice person.  The whole thing worked out really well for us.  We spent a lot for the work.  If anything should pop up he would take care of it so fast that we could barely believe it.  We had something pop up about a year later and he came out the same day that we called.  He has got a good customer service attitude.  He was an absolute pleasure to work with.  He is honest, hard-working, and everything that we would want to see in a provider.  I think his dad is also in the business.  The price was fair.  We will use him again.  I would highly recommend Aesthetic Design & Build LLC to others.
