    Dr Scott was flakey, not like a professional psychologist. She is Buddhist or something like that and wanted to "fill the space with the energy of love". She didn't seem confident and she didn't seem to know what to do to help me and my family crisis,  I tried for a while but I didn't feel comfortable and her style did not help at all. A waste of time and money. Find someone more professional.

    Dr. Reising is always welcoming and open. He treats his patients and families with the utmost respect. The staff are friendly and discreet. He treats our children as if they were his own. He is awesome!!

    Rather than shuffling me in and out as other doctors have done in the past, Dr. Guiffra took the time to talk with me about many different things that could be possible stresses.  He is very knowledgeable in many areas and effectively pointed me in the proper direction to help me with many aspects of my life--all in a very friendly, caring way.  Heck, he's even given me great restaurant tips!
    As with any psychiatrist, you must work with him and open up.  You must also tell him if things aren't right for you.
    Anyway, I've been very pleased with him.

    My experience with this particular doctor is that she is very personable and attentive during the office visit, but then there is no follow-up after tests/medications and no plan for treatment going forward. DETAILS: When I went for my appointment with the neurologist I was kept waiting for almost an hour before someone came out and asked me if I would like to reschedule for another day since the doctor had been called to an emergency consult. I told her that I had waited for a long time already and was in too much pain to wait for another appointment on another day. (every time I have seen this doctor I have waited for well over a half hour ��� sometimes more than an hour).

    The neurologist did an examination and then prescribed two medications and ordered an MRI. One of the prescriptions did provide some relief from the pain (helped with inflammation). The other medication prescribed was a narcotic (even though I had previously stated my preference not to take narcotics). I also expressed concern for the cost of the MRI since money is very tight. I was told that I would get the best results at St. Luke's even though they were more expensive than Metro Imaging.

    I had the MRI done (at St. Luke���s) within days of the initial appointment with the doctor. After waiting a few days for the results and plan going forward to be revealed to me, I called the doctor's office. No one answers the phone - you have to leave a voicemail message. My phone call was not returned, so I called twice more. Finally, the office assistant called me back and gave me a response (diagnosis?) consisting of four words. When I asked what that meant and what was the plan going forward, she said she did not know - that was all the doctor told her. Since I felt like I was not getting the information I needed, I drove to the office and asked to speak with the doctor's assistant. I was told that she was pretty busy and they did not know when she would be able to take a break from her busy schedule to speak with me. I informed them that I understood and was prepared to wait as long as it took. After waiting about 35 minutes, the doctor's assistant came to the door to speak with me. We only stepped inside the door and stood while having our conversation. I told her I needed to know what the MRI diagnosis really meant and what was planned for my treatment. I also asked for a copy of the MRI report and doctor's notes from my initial visit. After waiting another 30 minutes, she returned with copies of the MRI report and doctor's notes. She again said she would need to check with the doctor and get back to me with any further information. I specifically asked if lifting small children that I babysit could create further damage to my back. She said she would let me know.

    When I did not hear anything back for five days, I called St. Luke's Physician Relations to file a complaint and ask what could be done to compel the doctor to respond to me. The two ladies I spoke with in this department were very polite and helpful and immediately called the doctor's office to get some information. They called me back and said I should be getting a response soon, probably from the office administrator that they had talked to.

    About 5:30 that evening I received a call from a SECRETARY for another doctor in the practice. I had to again tell the whole story to another person. I explained that I was getting no information, the report that I read from the radiologist did not seem to match up with the brief explanation I got from the doctor's assistant, and that there were numerous errors in the doctor's notes from my visit. Probably the most alarming error was the notation the there were no known drug allergies when I have allergies to several medications - one of which causes me to have anaphylactic shock and could be potentially fatal! She took notes (I could hear her typing) and said someone would get back to me. Later that same evening she called back to say the doctor would like to see me in person in her office. They could ���squeeze me in��� the next week or make an appointment the week after that. I took the later appointment so I would not be rushed out of the doctor���s office before getting a full explanation.

    When I met with the doctor she did take time to listen and provide some explanation. She blamed the errors in my records on a new computer system. She also said that her assistant was new and that she would speak with her regarding my concerns. She asked me if I had been going to physical therapy. I told her that her assistant also had asked me that question and I answered that I didn't see how I could have been having physical therapy when none was ordered by her or anyone in her office. She did a thorough exam that day and recommended that I see a pain management specialist at their location. After I looked up that pain management specialist on Health Grades, I decided I did not want to see that doctor. There were no reports for that doctor on Angie's List. I was also referred to a neurosurgeon in their same practice. I did not make that appointment either.

    I am not sure if I would go back to this practice to see the neurologist or a neurosurgeon after my experience. I would definitely need assurances that these problems would not ever occur again. I will add that after all the problems I had getting return phone calls and answers from this practice, they were very prompt in sending me a bill! In late August I received a hand-written note from the doctor with a corrected copy of my records. The note said and quot;Here are the notes you requested. Hope you are doing well and pain free.and quot;

    Difficulty understanding the therapist due to their heavy Indian dialect. 
    Session was less than ten minutes.
    Instead of a sense of genuine caring, it was more like I was just another source of income for them.

    - Dr. Liss was able to accomplish what other Dr.'s had not; removing the medications that were harmful and rebuilding self-management and stress management skills.
    - Dr. Liss broke down the initial problem and approached it one step at a time.
    - Dr. Liss removed the unnessary drugs and added tolerable drugs to the regimen while the famiy member was hospitalized.
    - Overall quality of life was improved 100%; Dr. Liss saved this person's life - without a doubt.
    - Dr. Liss has provided regular monitoring reviews during the last 25 years as well as addressed other family issues with family members.
    - I would highly recommend Dr. Liss.
