Went great, Vinny was polite, courteous, easy to talk to, not to mention did a great job. One of the questions asks if we would hire him again, well we have already talked about my next project and got some great tips on making the next project easier.

I couldn't be happier! Jim and his crew were great. They were there at 7am each day until about 3:30 or so. In three days time, they painted 3 bedrooms, several closets, kitchen, dining room, living room and family room, including vaulted ceilings. They also did a drywall repair from turning a second closet around so it was in another bedroom. We have knockdown textured walls and my husband could never get the texture right after the remodel. Jim and crew also fixed cracks and nail pops. The drywall repair is perfect now, and you'd never know it was ever messed up. Jim was accessible and in contact with me to keep me up to date, since I had to work while they painted. They cleaned up after themselves each day. I would definitely use them again in the future.

Tim was super accessible for a visit at my home to determine a reasonable (as compared to others) quote. He was open to what my needs were and expressed his concerns as well. His friendly approach and demeanor towards the scope of work eased my worries.
Charlie and John were very prompt during the repairs. They showed up on time and were diligent about containing dust and debris from the construction. These two men even looked at a window I had concerns with. This window was not a part of the bid I had received from Tim. Their inspection recommendation led me back to the original installers instead of charging me for unexpected labor costs.
These professionals are a tribute to their trades. All my questions were answered and my expectations exceeded. I would highly recommend Tim and his crews for any needed construction. I honestly believe no job could be to small (or to large) and the outcome would always be of the highest quality!

He was very knowledgeable and professional. After the audit we received an estimate to correct any areas that were discovered. Unlike what we originally thought our issues were not the windows and doors. The estimate was for $4000 to add insulation to the attic, increase airflow in the attic, install foam insulation around our fireplace and throughout the basement as well as removing the attic fan and adding drywall.
The price is the estimated price for projects to be completed.

    The St. Louis Plastering Company
I originally purchased the $250 deal for repairing drywall as I ready this house for sale.  Trent showed up at the agreed upon time and immediately stated I had paid for more work than was actually to be completed, so he asked if there were any other areas that needed attention.  Even though the other area was not ready from a "clutter" standpoint, Trent completed this area as well.  This was a great value for the work that was completed.
I was so impressed that I asked him to give me a price on other work I was thinking about doing before listing the house.  Trent returned with what I thought was a great price and we began the work on 4-11-2015.  Trent's work ethic is something to remark upon.  It is of the highest that I have had the opportunity to witness among residential construction professionals.  His ethics and morals extends beyond his work ethic as at the end of the first day of work he reduced the original price quoted.  The value to time ratio saved here in hiring St Louis Plastering was enormous.  My only complaint or wish rather, is that he do other work as I would highly recommend these services too.
I've had the opportunity over the years to hire many contractors for business and personal projects and I have to say I am completely satisfied in every category we utilize in rating contractors professionally.  My expectations were exceeded by his quality and attention to detail, which really shine in his work.  It is quite refreshing to know that there are people out there that still care about their work!

    BB Contracting & Remodeling LLC
We started out working with BB Contracting early in January 2015. Tim Becker is the owner of BB Contracting and he has been really fantastic to work with. Tim came to the house on four occasions to gather information on what work we wanted done and to finalize the plan. Tim Becker was very good at listening to what we wanted and helping us determine the best products to fit in our budget and have a beautiful finished kitchen. Here is a list of the work BB Contracting performed: removed everything in the kitchen, built in pantry, drywall down to studs, old cabinets, old counter top, existing island, very old dishwasher, old wall oven, old gas cook top, and three layers of existing vinyl flooring. The layout of the kitchen had to changed in order to move the dishwasher next to the sink. In order to make room for the dishwasher, the built in pantry had to be removed and exhaust venting from the basement, which was running through the wall had to be rerouted. In addition, Tim's crew chief, Charlie, was excellent at determining necessary changes which needed to be made, and those changes included wall reconstruction, plumbing and wiring. The BB Contracting team was always on time, very courteous, and each day before leaving, they cleaned up and removed any refuse. BB Contracting installed new wiring, new plumbing as needed, drywall, paint, new kitchen island, cabinets, counter tops, faucet, and flooring. We purchased the new appliances separate from the cost of the remodel, but BB Contracting installed, new electric stove, refrigerator, and dishwasher. We reused an existing microwave above the stove and kitchen sink. BB Contracting also installed six new can lights in the ceiling. The most important comment I want to leave here is, Tim Becker and his crew are really fantastic to work with, trustworthy, excellent craftsman, and I would highly recommend their work to anyone.

    Creative Colour Painting

It was NOT a good Angie'slist experience....I accepted the proffered 8 hours "wall paper removal & painting" in mid December.  It was going to be a Christmas present for my wife.  It was accepted thru the AL interface, but then took  a few phone calls before we could get contact to set up a review of the project...I was not home when Michael came out to review the project and in all fairness my wife said he was very nice and did a thorough review....Then weeks went by hearing nothing, a few phone calls later and many more days before a call back...He had made an error on the email to send the proposal for the entire project (I wondered if the same lack of attention to detail was on projects and he never followed up), but armed with the right email we finally received the proposal...I was taken aback that the total proposal was so much more than I had envisioned....I did a little searching on similar projects and decided that it seemed a little high in areas and I called back to try to see if we could either come to an agreement on the painting or just go with the original stripping wallpaper job only. No one home so I left a message relating that.. After no call back from Michael I called that night...He was a little incensed that I would question his experience and estimate.  I didn't know, I may have insulted his integrity and for that I am sorry, but it seemed 3 hours for repair and $50 for tape and spackle were excessive and I had other estimates that were less....so I said let's just do the original wallpaper stripping.  The friction was palpable and we were both a little angry that this was not going well. We agreed to disagree.. He declined the job and said he would refund the original proffered monies....I was beyond angry, but what could I do....I cannot comment on quality of work because none was done and I'm sure he's a good contractor,,,The survey would not accept my NA on quality of work, I'm sorry for having to enter that...not fair to judge what I did not observe....but my Christmas present for my wife has fallen through and I was without the $199 for 5 weeks and no closer to the project done....IT was a very BAD experience!!!

Bruce came over and discussed our full project with us.  From the moment he walked in the door, we felt comfortable having him in our home.  He was on time and prepared to take pictures and notes.  We planned to do as much as possible ourselves but wanted his input on the full project.  We ended up deciding for him to do the insulation, drywall, taping, and mudding.  With his input, we were able to successfully have the rooms gutted and prepped for him when he came in.  He helped coach us on tips for many different things and rules that we needed to follow.
When we got to the point where we were ready for him and his crew to come in, it was within the week that he was here.  Every day they were on time or early to start, he provided an update, and made sure we were happy with there work.  Any questions we had along the way, they were all very helpful with.
Bruce truly loves what he does and enjoys helping others.  It was such a joy to work with him and we will definitely reach out to him when we decide to tackle another project.
Thanks so much for your help Bruce!!!

    Tight Lines Painting
Josh arrived at 8:00 sharp on day one and worked all day.  On day 2, he called to let us know that he would be a little late.  Contractors just don't do that kind of courtesy anymore.  That was refreshing.
I was amazed at how fast he could do things.  He had drop cloths on everything in no time.  The seams in the drywall were terrible and he made them disappear.  This guy is like a magician!!
He also didn't leave cigarette butts in the yard, didn't use foul language, and even cleaned up after himself!!
If you need any drywall repair or painting, you would do good to call Josh.  This place looks great now.

    Handyman Connection of Chesterfield
Handyman Connection was very responsive and did exactly what they said they would do and for the price they quoted.  Greg came out and removed my old metal bathtub and installed a new one along with re-doing shower and surround.  He also installed greenboard around the shower and repaired unfinished drywall in the rest of the bathroom.  After that, he painted the walls and ceiling.  Also, he installed baseboards and shutoff valves  for the sink and toilet.  I've used many contractors in the past and this is the FIRST ONE that actually did a good job, did what they said they would do and also did it for the original quoted price (and didn't even inflate the material cost).  GREAT JOB!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!  I will use Handyman Connection for future projects.  :-)  Tony
