    I scheduled the inspection the week before and brought it in early Saturday morning. The CEL had been on for awhile so I knew it would require work. I asked them to do the warranty tire rotation and balance at the same time. About an hour later they called and indicated that the EGR valve needed to be replaced and the front end aligned, so I OK'ed the work. An hour later they called indicating they were finished. This was quicker than usual, which is why I rated punctuality and responsiveness only fair. I've gotten in the habit of leaving the vehicle because if I wait even an oil change and tire rotation routinely takes well over an hour. When I came to pick it up they indicated I would need to bring it back in for a re-inspection after driving it over 100 miles since the EGR valve had been replaced and CEL had been reset. I brought it in a week later and they completed the re-inspection in about an hour.
    Other than being more timely than usual this was about my usual experience at this Dobbs location. I've been using them for about 5 years now, but plan to stop. Mainly this is due to their prices. 5 years ago when I started going to them they charged $85 an hour for labor. They now charge $115. This is higher than even some dealers in the area. They also charge top dollar for parts (literally: I have never once found a part more expensive at a dealer, auto parts store, or online anywhere.. typically they charge even a few dollars above MSRP). Finally they charge a mandatory hour of labor for "diagnosis" even if all it consists of is checking a DTC which takes 5 minutes. I have also never yet had them do anything but replace a part with new. Never once have they tried to clean up something which was still good but only clogged, etc. On tires they offer a "lowest cost" guarantee but seldom seem to have the ones with the best deals in stock, and on tire warranty issues they follow everything to the letter, looking with a fine toothed comb for any reason to disqualify you. I wish they used the same comb when applying their "fixed forever" warranty. I routinely have to "remind" them of service performed in the past that they try to charge me for again. I haven't yet had to pull out my own records as they keep everything in their database and always find it after searching, but I usually have to prompt them to do the search.
    In summary they will fix your car and fix it well, but it will cost you more than nearly any other place, including the dealer.

    It is a four wheel drive and I took it in because there was a noise in the front end.  They called me later on and told me that a part needed to be replaced and it would cost $675.  They said that would fix my problem.  Well I went and picked it up and paid the $675 and it never fixed my problem.  It is still doing it.  They are aware of the persistent problem.  I can understand the statement in a way because they said that they cannot duplicate the noise that I had in the front end.  When I went back to them I could not duplicate it either.  It is one of those things that it is loud when it does it, but it does not do it all the time.  So I don’t see that they replaced the part that they claimed that they did because they said that would take care of my problem.  But however they replaced it and I paid them for it.  It is still doing it.  I can’t blame them for not repairing it.  But I can’t not happy that they replaced he part that was unnecessary.  They could have said that they cannot duplicate it and charged me $100 for the diagnostics and I would have been fine.  Last time when I took my vehicle in for an oil change they were trying to sell me a power stand fluid change which I read under people's recommendations on Jeeps not to do that.  I would probably use them in the future.

    Jerel and his staff did a first class job. The price was very fair, and, I was very happy with the quality parts used in our vehicle. Be sure to make an appointment as they are very busy. This is an honest shop, and, the owner (Jerel) communicates with his customers before, during, and after the service.

    Recently I was at the Jeep dealership having my oil changed and was told my front axle pinion seal was leaking and needed replacement. I was quoted $220.00....I went home and decided to call around and found the prices at other shops to be similiar. A friend of mine referred me to Driveshafts Unlimited, a shop that specializes in anything driveshaft related. The shop is owner operated and friendly to deal with. They replaced the seal and yoke for only $150.... I would highly recommend them to anyone.....

    After calling apprx. 60 shops in the area, I came across Best Auto Inc. Jerel, the owner spoke with me over for almost a half hour about my jeep. He gave me scenarios of vehicles with similar problems and what the cost was to do the repair. He was even open to hearing some of my theories of what the problem could be. I had the vehicle towed to Best Tues Dec.21 (the week of Christmas) before I went out of town. I received the vehicle Tues Dec. 28. I checked in with Jerel once a day, and would give me the update. This was a difficult, labor intensive diagnosing process. They found the problem without throwing any unneccessary parts at it. They repaired the vehicle and drove it apprx 100 miles to ensure the problem was gone. Jerel is a straight shootin, old fashioned, quality, take your time and do it right the first time mechanic. His employees are the same way and SUPER NICE. They will not try and upsell or use scare tactics. So, if you are looking for a shop that will get it done right the first time, not try and upsell you on fluid flushes etc, and gets it done in a reasonable amount of time at a better than fair price. Best is the place for you. I would suggest making an appointment, b/c they are EXTREMELY BUSY....

    I should have known better when I was the only customer in sight.The repair shop charged for dye kit which I never saw installed, charged for 3 1/2 lbs new freon, when my old freon was re-installed. The bill was $209.55- should have been $75.00 -$125.00 for service provided. I was on vacation and the shop owner took advantage-highway robbery
