    Gas Fireplace Repair Co
Problem was efficiently diagnosed. Called at 8:00 AM, talked to Bob Colbourn, and he was at my home by approximately 1:00. Remote receiver no longer working and needed to be replaced. At my request it was replaced with a much more straightforward unit. Technician was very knowledgeable. The pilot light had been on since I bought the house 6 months ago. However, I found out is should not have been. It is now set up properly to go one when the fireplace is turned on via the transmitter (remote). Advised me on the proper maintenance features of the fireplace which I really appreciated.

    Gas Fireplace Repair Co
We needed to have our fireplace fixed before we sold the house to a family member. The only thing we knew was that the fire didn't light when we flipped the switch (the pilot light was on). The work was done quickly - and it wasn't even a fireplace problem. The switch was bad, which he replaced. I would highly recommend this vendor and will probably use him again in the new house.

    Gas Fireplace Repair Co
Great. Rob arrived 5 minutes early, was knowledgeable, efficient, and very helpful. Gave me some good information about basic inner workings on both fireplaces. He tested both units, cleaned the glass, vacuumed and reset logs, changed batteries and relinked the remote.

    Stubby's Firewood
Absolutely amazing experience. From the ordering through Angie's List through scheduling and delivery. Denis and his three young boys scheduled and showed up at 8am Saturday morning after a long drive from the St. Cloud area to the Southeast Metro. Large industrial pickup truck and two contractor wheelbarrows. Denis and the three boys got right to work like a manufacturing line. Two boys in the back of the truck loading the empty wheelbarrows while Denis and the other boy wheeled, unloaded and stacked in two backyard locations. He asked if it was OK to stack against the house wall (taking care) and even leveled out our firewood rack as it was sinking in the still wet soil. Denis measured carefully LxH to make sure it was the contracted amount and then the three boys diligently swept up the driveway where they were unloading for all wood scraps and dust. Kind, honest, detail-oriented and hardworking! 30 minutes in and out!

Punctual, professional, pleasant, informative, trustworthy, and all that at a great price. These guys even took the time to explain how the feedback mechanism on the igniter box works! Couldn't be happier. Wish every maintenance team worked like that.

    Twin Cities Furnace Cleaning Inc
TC Furnace Cleaning was polite and professional from start to finish. They arrived on time for the free estimate and provided a thorough inspection to include great photos showing what needed to be repaired. They also arrived on time for the scheduled repair and completed the job within the estimated time frame. After completing the job, the work crew went over and explained what they did and properly cleaned up after themselves before leaving.

    The Fireplace Guys
Results were a mixed bag. Sales was great. Responsive and easy to work with in every way. The installation left room for improvement. The installers didn't have enough lumber to complete the job and 'borrowed' from my inventory so they could keep going. They came back later and replaced the stock. And they didn't have enough dry wall, so again they pulled from the stock I had. This wasn't replaced and while they didn't use much (less than 1/8 of a sheet), it left with me a partial sheet. If they'd asked, the right thing to do, I'd have pointed them to a partial sheet. On the plus side they completed the job in just over a day. The plan was for The Fireplace Guys to remove the old unit, frame and install the new units put up drywall. We'd finish doing the mud, tape add tile and a mantel. The removal of the old unit went very well. The framing and electrical work was fine but we thought the drywall install in particular was pretty sloppy. I actually removed one section and shimmed it so it would fit better. We shopped five places before deciding on this group and their prices very competitive. We really wanted gas units made in the US but the only company who offered US made gas fireplaces cost 20% more.

Great people.  Friendly and professional.   They were a bit late for the appointment, but called and let me know where they were and that they were on the way.  I would use them again.

The service provider prompt and nice.
    He cleaned my gas fireplace.
The glass window looked much better but I don't think the cleaning was a $200 dollar value.
I would have thought there would have been a more in depth checking of the gas lines and the wiring.
The service was OK, nothing special.

    Dust Doctors
    Great overall job!

My only critique, and it's a major one, is that the customer should be warned in advance at how insanely loud their industrial vacuuming machine is. The cleaning process is so loud it's like having a roaring freight train rumbling in your house for 3 hours straight. The sound is deafening. Put it this way, I have a somewhat pricey theater system in my home with a high quality, loud sound bar. The sound bar is loud enough to rattle the walls and blast you right out of the living room if it's volume is turned up to the maximum. Their vacuuming system was so loud that I could barely hear my own sound bar at max volume. Yes, it's that loud!

What I found especially concerning is that the workers (the owner himself and Chris - super nice guys) did not wear any hearing protection. Are they nuts? They're going to have major hearing loss in just a year or two - if they don't already - if they don't address that problem very soon.

Even professional lawn mowing services wear earmuffs to protect their hearing while they mow, and their commercial lawn mowers are not even remotely as loud as this industrial HVAC suction device these guys are using. Invest in some earplugs guys, at the very least. It's actually extremely cheap, and considering the decibel level, hearing protection is required of the employer by OSHA, as I recall.

Anyways, I really liked these guys and they did a great job, I just wish there were a loudness warning to their customers and that they would use hearing protection.

I would definitely hire them again in a heartbeat!
