I got a call back very quickly after my initial inquiry thru Angie's List. Chase Hoffmann set up an appt for the next day, discussed the details, quoted us a fair price, and performed the install (bedroom ceiling fan) in a super timely manner with minimal fuss and mess. The install looks great and works exactly like we wanted. We would absolutely hire him again and recommend him completely.

I worked with Rob to go over the plan, the proposed wiring and diagrams. He took the time to understand what the end goal of the entire remodel was, not just electrical components. I think this helped him to come up with some suggestions and recommendations that I had not considered. During the project, we ran into some tight spaces which required a few last minute changes, which Rob and his team were able to overcome without significant delay or outrageous overages in budget. The installers were very knowledgeable of the project as well. They took the time to confirm to the specifications, and offered a few suggestions and recommendations of their own. In the end, we chose to implement some of the recommendations which did cost a little more than we were expecting, however Rob and his team were very reasonable with the final overage charges and worked within our budget to make it happen. I would highly recommend Rob and his team for your next wiring project.

We asked for quotes from 3 Electricians in the area (SE Minnesota). Rob was the only one that was professional, took the time to listen to our needs, recommended services, and review the situation. I can't say enough good things about this company.
We had an existing circuit breaker panel with only 3 available circuits, and we knew that the new hot tub would take 2 of those. Given that we have plans in the future to finish our basement (which would require about 8 - 10 new circuits) we talked with Rob about whether what type of additional panel we might need (100 amp, 50 amp, # of circuits and so on). Rob took a look at our basement, estimated the number of circuits we'd need, and recommended a panel for us. Since the hot tub required a circuit panel specifically for it as well, Rob provided an estimate to:
    1) Install a new 100 amp panel
    2) Install the hot tub 50 amp panel and breakers
    3) Hook up the hot tub to the new panel
    4) Additional costs (such as wiring, labor, etc).
When the electrician came out to install everything, there were no surprises. No 'oh we forgot about...' issues at all. He was very professional and knowledgeable. Once he was finished, he walked us through the inspection process, and scheduled the inspection for us. It was a nice, hands-off no-worries experience.
When we got the invoice, the only variation between the estimate and the actual charge was a $70 'Out of Rochester Server area' fee, which is absolutely reasonable as we live about 50 miles from Rochester.

    DICK'S ELECTRIC
Professionalism is completely lost on Dick's Electric. We were looking for someone to come out and give us an estimate for installing a new breaker panel and hot tub hookup at our house. After calling and leaving several messages outlining my needs, available times that I would like him to come out to our house, and so on, I never got a call back. Finally, I called and got someone on the phone to talk to. The entire conversation felt like he was inconvenienced by me calling and asking for a quote.
When I told him about the project, and how I wanted to run a new line for a hot tub, he told me that 'You can't do that in Winona with all the overhead lines". While that may be true in the more residential areas, we don't live in a very residential area, and have no overhead lines anywhere near our house. He didn't even take the time to ask about our house, or situation, just made assumptions after wrong assumption. We finally agreed to have him come out to provide a quote even though he was "So busy, I probably can't get to it for 2 months".
When he arrived at our house (1/2 hour late btw), I could tell that he wasn't interested in the project. He kept talking about how other electricians don't know the code, how he's the best commercial contractor in the area, and how he doesn't usually do residential work. I don't know, but I certainly wouldn't want this guy doing any type of electrical work on an office building either. He may know his stuff, but his professionalism is extremely lacking.
I would not recommend even giving this guy an opportunity to work with you if you have a residential electrical need.

    Bob's Construction Inc
I would use them for smaller jobs and not the large job that I had them do. The end was very frustrating because they could have been done 2 weeks ago. They haven't done any work for the past 2 weeks. They finally ordered the materials they needed, when they could have ordered them before. Although, the job looks really nice. We haven't had a problem with it yet. He even came back because we wanted more outlets put in. He also didn't charge us the amount that we expected. I am extremely happy with it.

They were great. They were prompt, efficient and cleaned up after themselves. I would use them again.
