    Well, we have pictures.  We're in Minnesota, we haven't seen the work, the pictures look good.  They seemed good.  It looks nice in pictures.  We won't know until early December if we like what they did, so you are a little early on calling.  They stayed in touch with us.  They seemed good, and we knew what they were going to do because they stayed in touch with us long distance and told us if they could make it or if they couldn't, and reminded us that they were coming etc, things like that.

    I liked the fact that they did a good job. I usually don't have to go back for more work. They usually got the job done when they said they were going to. They have complimentary shuttle service. The price is reasonable.

    I brought my car to Volkman's after getting a quote from another garage for over $300. The other place told me I needed new pads, shoes, re-grinding, etc. etc. Volkman's told me I did not need all that--instead, they fixed my brakes for about half what the other place said. They told me my brakes were not that bad; that  coming in when they first started squealing saved me money and them time and labor. I was very happy with the work they did; they told me the car would be done at noon, and it was done at noon. Their bill w was even a few dollars less than the quote. I would definitely go here again!!

    Scheduling was prompt, the quality of work was excellent, if they can't do the work they will tell you, they are honest, their rates are very fair.  I have used them many times and will continue to use them until something changes.  I would describe them as honest, they do good work and are very reasonable on price.

    They are incredibly friendly and helpful and have gone way above and beyond the call of duty to provide personal and professional service. Honestly, I don't know if there is anything they would not do for a customer. They always offer me rides to work / home and spend as much time as I ask explaining the problems and my options. No pressure, clear honest communications, and they never try to sell me junk or work I don't need. They are very knowledgeable about what they do. I think my only complaint would be that as more people discover them they have become a very busy shop so scheduling has stretched out a bit but I can still always get in within a week at the most.

    My mothers car was making a little rattle when it was brought in, and the diagnosis and repair was simple and known. Now she has two holes in her muffler and the flex pipe under her car is broken. This in turn gives her car a whole new sound, a sound let me remind you that was not there when she brought the car in for the simple repair. Ironically, this company also replaces mufflers and flex pipes. When my mother called crying, I knew that she had been taken advantage of by these mechanics and that I needed to intervene. I arrived at the shop with her car, inquired to speak with the man who dealt or should I say ripped off my mother, who, not surprisingly was unable to speak to me. I was however, able to speak with the mechanic who at one point said he did the work, but then said that it was Brent who actually did the work. So I asked him what my mother asked for, he confirmed that she said to take care of the rattle caused by the heat shield. At this point we were on the same page. So I asked him how much that would cost to have removed? He said "basically nothing" "great" I responded, then handed him the bill that he or Brent gave my mother. I asked him if it was common for them to add costs and parts when they were not asked for or even agreed upon? He stumbled with his words for a second, he knew I was calling him out for replacing parts that didn't need to be replaced. I then requested answers for the holes in the muffler and the broken flex pipe. He really didn't have much to say except that those problems must have already been there. It was obvious to me that not only did they rob my mother, they also sabotaged her car in hope for more work. I could only imagine how much they would have tried to charge her for a muffler and flex pipe, if they can charge 252 to replace a battery, a ground wire, plug in a diagnosis machine, and remove a heat shield.(A competent mechanic could do all this in under 20min) After speaking with the mechanic he agreed to reimburse my mother $215.00 if they put her old battery back in and left the ground wire. I agreed to that, however the muffler and flex pipe was still an issue. I told him that I would be back before they closed and that I expected "miracles" When I returned Brent immediately got belligerent and told us to leave the shop immediately because we were trespassing or he was going to call the police. He said the check was in the car. There was a check in the car, but it was for 100.00 not the 215.00 as agreed upon previously. The holes were still in the muffler and the flex pipe was still broken. It is unfortunate that in economic troubles people resort to robbing others, especially widows. I will be following up with Brent through the legal system and hold him responsible for his illegitimate business practices.
