  • Sadly, the costs of multiple parts made the diagnosis terminal. However, before Jeff called to tell me the bad news, he checked online and found me a new version of the same vacuum so as to give me a frame of reference as to whether it made sense to sink so much into the repairs of the old one. He also provided me with really valuable advice as to what models of Dyson were worth having (not many) and which ones to avoid. I very much respected his knowledge and appreciated that he took the time to share this info with me. I  When I called back to let them know I had decided to replace rather than repair, not only did they offer to dispose of my old vacuum, but there was no charge for the estimate. What an excellent surprise!! Now that I will have a new vacuum, I don't anticipate needing repairs any time soon, but if and when, I will definitely come back to Johnston's. Will also sing their praises if the opportunity arises.

  • They have been excellent. Their prices are extremely reasonable otherwise I wouldn’t have done it. They are extremely receptive and know what they are doing. They are down the street and I have always used them. They do not do things that do not have to be done.

  • I have visited Bill's Gun Shop and Range on many occasions, both from the retail side as well as using their range. From a retail gun sales standpoint, they have one of the best selections in the west metro, with the possible exception of Gander Mountain in Eden Prairie. I used to think they were a bit on the high side when it came to price, but on more than one occasion, after shopping around, they are often times a little lower than many of the other businesses around. And if they don't have it, they are happy to get it for you. Plus, if you buy a gun from them, they give you a free range pass and a free gun rental (which never expires.) - a nice little perk. Plus, they stand behind whatever they sell and have their own in-house gunsmith. I've read a complaint that they seem understaffed at times and you may wait around for awhile to have someone help you. While I have experienced some longer wait times when they are fairly busy, once they started to help me I never feel rushed through or blown off and the staff is very knowledgeable and helpful.
I've also used the range several times. It is one of the few places in town to shoot inside and, frankly, I've been surprised that they aren't more expensive based on that fact alone. If you don't have your own stuff (eye protection, ear protection, targets, guns or ammo) the rental rates can add up fast, but most regular shooters will have all that. It is also one of the few places that have several different guns to rent, which although expensive, gives you a chance to actually try a particular firearm out before dropping several hundred dollars or more before potentailly finding out that you don't like it. And the selection that they have for rent is pretty good.
I really like Bill's. It is well kept and one of your few and quot;one stop shopsand quot; in the West Metro area.

  • Excellent! Clean operation, great service, nice guys! Immediate call upon email request conversation. They were on time, fast, extremely neat and cleaned up. Measured for accuracy! I am burning the wood now -it is great and the neighborhood smells nice and sweet! Love it!

  • Excellent.  Dave showed up at the scheduled time and, since I had moved the boxes to the garage, in minutes we were loading the papers into a bin that he then dumped into the shredder hopper on his truck.  I watch the documents be shredded through a TV camera in the hopper.  It took a total of about 10 minutes and couldn't have been smoother.  I wouldn't hesitate to use Dave in the future and strongly recommend his services.

  • We told the young man not to worry, knowing probably how much he damaged his car.  We hired Steve to do the job for us.  He did a wonderful job.  He does excellent work.  He is very polite.  He tells you that he is just a handyman.  You provide the materials.  He has some tools but not all the tools.  He gets on the job and finishes it.  We are asking him to do some more work for us.  He comes before his scheduled time.  The one worry is that he is not insured.  I called my insurance agent and told him that I was going to ask Steve to do my gutters and he said it was alright but just to ask him to be careful.  The problem is if you get an insured guy, you are talking about $100.00 an hour.  Steve does it for about $33.00 or $34.00.  He is excellent on professionalism.
  • Easy to schedule, prompt, likeable individual - I'm not particularly musical, but my adult children thought the piano sounded fine after tuning.  We don't tune on a schedule and did not get grief about that.  One friendly reminder when the next one due, but was not pesky.  Would definitely use again - (Used them regularly when the kids were at home taking lessons)

  • I was so impressed with this shop. They're very unassuming, very unofficial and honest. The clerk who fixed my machine was the nicest guy and dropped what he was doing to help me out. The wall in the store is covered in thank-you notes and I know why. This shop is the real deal! I only wished they fixed cars too. I guess the only downside is that they're hard to reach by phone, but they do return phone calls within about 24 hours.

  • They came to the apartment, removed the faulty board from the TV needing repair, moved a small set from the bedroom to the living room so there was a set to watch, and took the faulty board for repair. When they returned, they set up the TV to make sure it was working and moved the small set back to the bedroom. Everything went well from start to finish, estimate was right on and returned the set to working condition on the date promised.

  • Workmanship was excellent. The flashing was designed in such a way that the siding does not cover all parts of it so the welding points are visible. They performed the work in timely manner to coordinate with window installers. Did not honor Angie's List coupon.
