Appointment went well. The eye exam and contact fitting went well. Dr. Mitchell who performed the eye exam and Angie who did the contact appointment were professional, and answered all my questions.

I was very impressed with all aspects of my appointment.  Professionalism, punctuality, quality of facilities, but most particularly the staff.  Each staff member seemed really concerned about me and my decision of whether to have a procedure.  There was no pressure, no sales pitch, just a lot of education and a thorough exam.  Scheduling was a breeze.  I am scheduled for a LASEK procedure in early December and will post an update about my results.

The appointment was professionally handled from receptionist, technician, Optometrist to Dr. Chu. All staff members were courteous and efficient. Dr. Chu explained that although my Lasik was still perfect, I had started developing cataracts in both eyes. This means cataract surgery in the future. Really not bad news because Dr. Chu is the best Lasik/cataract surgeon!

I went for a routine eye exam, and felt the Doctor rushed through the exam without explaining what he was doing and why. When I asked simple quesitons about the procedures he seemed mildly annoyed. Nothing went wrong, but I will not go back.

I have been seeing Dr. Tim Haupert and his staff for several years.  I've purchased eyewear (they have a very cool selection) and gone in for regular vision and eye health testing.  The environment is very comfortable and attractive, and the staff is professional and friendly.  They utilize advanced technical instruments/devices to capture details of overall and specific eye health issues, and they track conditions through retinal photos, etc.  I am committed to Dr. Haupert's care, even though I must drive from Saint Paul to Wayzata.  Excellent provider!

Like previous appointments, I was warmly welcomed by the staff. After a review of my records, I was promptly escorted to the exam room with various state-of-the-art eye testing equipment.

The technician was very, but not overly, friendly and genuinely interested in the answers that I gave to her questions. She was efficient, but not rushed as she graciously directed me through a variety of tests. I appreciated her directions--clear, specific. On occasion, she was a "cheerleader", letting me know how many more seconds I would need to keep my head still or how much longer the test was going to take. Very supportive communication and a warm smile.

After the initial tests--one of which takes pictures of your eye's interior without any of those drops for the dilation of my eye--I was taken to another area for a last eye test to measure my eyes periferal vision. Again, the tech was cheerful and focused on getting accurate data from my test.

The cutting-edge equipment used to test and analyze my eyes is impressive to say the least. When I walked into the first exam room, my first impression was "WOW, there's a lot of machines in this room!", but I was also impressed on how quickly, thoroughly and painlessly information about my eye was compiled by just minutes at each machine.

I was led into the last exam room to confer with Dr. Tim Haupert about my eyes. He is patient and thorough in explaining the results of the test that you just took, and can anticipate questions that I had. Last year, Dr. Haupert gave me the news that I had early signs of glaucoma. Not the best news that you want to hear, but Dr. Haupert has a way of delivering the news directly and supportively. He had a plan of action lined up and gave me all sorts of information. I know I need to be vigilant, but because I know that my current eye pictures and yearly check-ins will alert Dr. Haupert as to when medications need to be administered, I am not freaking-out.

After reviewing my exams, Dr. Haupert updated my perscription for my progressive lenses glasses. After that, I went to pick out my frames with Margaret. She is an absolute delight! Her title is The Optical Goddess. Seriously. And, it's true. I feel the title is accurate because she will guide you to frames that compliment and flatter your face and lifestyle. For example, I have a tendency to go for bold, zany frames which gives me a certain bold, zany look. However, in my work, I must be approachable to customers from all "walks of life", and I do not want to be off-putting to any of them because of my eyewear choices. Margaret has helped me bridge that gap. The result is--stylish/fun glasses that I love wearing, and that I get numerous compliments on EVERY DAY from customers. She knows her products inside and out, and will deliver what you feel comfortable in while keeping your budget in mind.

Lastly, I returned later to pick up my finished glasses. Margaret checked the fit, did a few adjustments for the perfect fit, and even adjusted/cleaned my "old" glasses that I worn into the office.

Bottom line, I feel genuinely cared for by the entire staff of Art of Optiks. I recommend them without reservation and with clear vision!

The visits are always excellent.  From email reminders to Margaret in the eyewear "showroom," to Melissa as Dr. Haupert's assistant who administers several tests, to Dr. Tim Haupert, I feel I receive superb treatment and care.  They all are very knowledgeable, and all tests and results are explained thoroughly.  They have state-of-the-art equipment and knowledge.  I initially followed my eyewear guy there.  He's since moved to another shop but I remain committed to Art of Optiks, even though I have to drive from Saint Paul.  They are terrific.

Wonderfully! Friendly and professional doctors, nurses, and staff. Enjoyed my first visit and my subsequent stop-bys to pick up my glasses and contacts after they came in.
