    Downtowner Car Wash
    Very disappointed since the new owners took over. Had gone to Downtowner for probably 25 years. Never again. They didn't vacuum under the front mats, lower inside door panels had not been wiped clean, other areas left dirty. I was surprised when there was no line to get into the wash. Now I understand why

    They charge me like 30 bucks. They do a good job. I know they're a higher price. I don't have any trouble. They always check my needs. They're usually always on time. I was using a local guy, and he didn't understand foreign cars. So, they just do it right, and I don't have to think about it. They get it.

    Fabulous. I was very happy every step of the way. The first meeting I sat down with Vince and David and we talked about how I would like the Mustang to look. They added ideas that were right in line with what I was thinking, but enhanced my ideas. I have worked with another customizer in Minnesota and did not have as wonderful an experience as I have had at LeRoy's. These guys are the bomb!

    They really know their cars and never do more than you need.  They should be nominated for the Service Award for 2016 and forever.  Because they are just the greatest.  If you ever need car work, go here!  They don't use cheap parts.  They will fix it and stand behind their work.  We use them constantly.

    CHEROKEE SERVICE
    Cherokee was awesome.  Our daughter scoped out a used car that she wanted to buy as she finishes up her schooling and graduates.  She needed a vehicle to drive to/from work in assorted environments.  Cherokee got us in the day after I called.  We wanted the inspection done during the 3 day window where we could return the car if we were not satisfied with the purchase.  They did a full inspection of the vehicle (Carfax mentioned a rear-end hit to the car previously).  For $25 they did the inspection and texted an inspection report to us - complete with pictures of what they saw inside and underneath.  The car was everything we hoped for and Cherokee put all of our minds to rest with the inspection.  We could not be happier with the service and price.

    We were very happy with the service they provided.  We found Roseville Auto and Marine through Angie's List because we wanted a third party when purchasing a vehicle for our daughter to drive.  We brought a 15 year old Volvo to them to inspect before we decided to purchase it.  We were told by the owner that the car had had regular maintenance and no problems.  The mechanic found this to be not the case.  There were so many things wrong with the vehicle and he explained every one.  He gave us an estimate for each issue and we were able to make a well-informed decision.  We were able to go back to the seller with the information and a report detailing the issues.  He even made a list of the have-to-fix-right-now-issues (for safety) vs. needs-repair-but-could-wait-a-bit-issues (like the A/C).  We decided against purchasing the vehicle because of the mechanic's recommendations and because the cost to repair the safety issues exceeded the amount we'd pay for the vehicle.
    I would definitely go back to them with another used car or for service on our current vehicles.  The price was very reasonable for how thorough they were.  We also felt that they were very honest considering they could have down-played the issues and then we would need to bring the car in for service.  Also, they knew a lot about imports and that was especially helpful.

    It was November when I relized my car had no heat. Called honest one and got in that same day. There was a clog in a tube to my heater core, plus a mouse nest in there. They cleaned it all out and I got it back the same day. We have used them for all of our car issues big and thankfully small, this time. Eric Schmittdiel is the one who always does the work and takes the time to explain it all.

    The staff are very nice, courteous. Time was about 50 minutes which was ok (realized now they probably should take more time). When I got into car, the front seats were covered in plastic with a plastic covering driver side. I checked the car when I got home. Should have done it there as I found out. I noticed the clock area had not been cleaned which I thought ok just an over sight. But, once I inspected noticed several areas that were not cleaned thoroughly - dirt, a bug left on carpet, in door storage etc, water in the mechanism of the seat attaching it to floor for example. But, the one that made my decision not to return was that I paid for the upholstery to be shampooed plus supposedly got the "protectant" when in actuality the "backs" of the front seat were not even touched. TOTALLY DRY AND DIRTY. I have grand kids who's shoes touch the back of the seat and one of the reasons I paid to have the shampoo. I called and spoke to someone who I assumed is a manager. He apologized and wanted me to bring the car back to correct. As I told him, I am not driving all the way back wasting/time and gas. I just wanted them to make sure their staff know to clean better and perform the services that were purchased. I also told him I would not be back. One and only time. Maybe as a business they should offer to refund for the service not provided. I didn't ask and it was not offered. When doing the ratings, they are mixed. I debated the rating of the quality and gave it the D because I paid for the shampooing of the upholstery and it did not occur. The car was cleaned just not to my expectations and what I paid. Maybe, to do a regular carwash they do fine but would not pay for any extras.

    I went to the store on Hodgeson Rd in Shoreview. This is the first time I had them put synthetic oil in so there was some sticker shock. The person I worked with was very nice and very professional. What I liked is that they don't try to sell me stuff I don't need. He pointed out that my windshield wipers are starting to wear out and offered to change them but he didn't pressure me to have Mr. Car Wash do it. There are other oil change places that I won't even go to any more because of their high pressure sales tactics.

    Went to the Hugo location to look at a 1998 VW Bug listed for $2,995.00 with a 3 month warranty. Asked the salesman if he would take $3,000.00 total (including tax, title & registration) and he agreed. We came back with a cashiers check to make the purchase but noticed that the salesman changed the warranty from 3 months to "as is". He said if we wanted the 3 month warranty we had to pay the full price. We agreed to pay the full price and as he started adding things up he said the 3 month warranty would be an additional $600.00 over the asking price. When we asked how he could ask for more that the advertised price he said he had to call the owner at the St. Paul location. By the time he was done with the conversation he said they couldn't offer a warranty at any price and if we wanted the car we would still have to pay the full asking price. I have no idea how these guys stay in business with those kind of practices.
