    North Star Mutual Insurance Company is a very dirty insurance company to work with. They will try find any loop hole they can to run from a claim. When they sell you the insurance they will promise you the world. It is the worlds greatest insurance until it comes time to actually file a claim. Then they run like the wind. Try everything in their power to deny the claim. I would strongly recommend looking elsewhere for insurance even if it is a little more money. There is no reason to have insurance that has loop holes to work their way out of any claim. I am a very unhappy customer and I will make sure to pass the word on to everyone possible to avoid this joke of an insurance company.

    Very well. Jim came out to the house for the prom photos and asked just me to come out in the yard to pick an area for the group. We gathered the kids and he interacted very well with them. He always does, he goes to their sports events on a regular basis and knows 90% of the student body. He is very good at what he does!!

    Jim was the consummate professional! He was very creative in finding different and interesting poses for my family around our house. When the time came for the actual graduation party he spent a long time they're taking many wonderful candid shots! It was a wonderful memory of our very special day! He is very dedicated, very quick, and very reasonable!

    It went fairly well. I did have to wait for what seemed like a very long time in the doctor's office between seeing the nurse and the doctor, but that tends to happen wherever you go. The staff was very nice and helpful. The doctor checked on things as much as he could without doing any other testing, which was nice considering I don't have insurance through my workplace yet. Both fortunately and unfortunately, he didn't see anything wrong except for things that I had gone to the doctor about before. Fortunately because there were no new issues, unfortunately because it's an expensive way to find out there's nothing wrong. I do wish, though, that they had looked more thoroughly at my medical history, because I came to realize after my visit that my troubles were most likely due to some issues I have had in the past due to an eating disorder. I feel as though the issues might have been looked at more thoroughly if there had been the knowledge of the eating disorder, mainly because I've had issues with potassium and sodium deficiency, which are related to the issues I was experiencing. My records of the eating disorder are with a different health care system, which would probably explain the lack of prior knowledge. In any case, all of the staff was very helpful, the facility looked very nice and clean, and I feel that they did the best they were able to do. They also sent me a form after the visit to fill out so that they can see if I qualify for any of their assistance programs, which is awesome. Overall, my experience with the Altru system has been very good.

    The companies internet has usually been sub-par since the beginning for the price you spend, plus to get just internet they make you get "basic cable" which they have jacked the price up on a couple times already, so to get my 5Mb download (with .5Mb up) speed internet in town about 20 blocks from Sjoberg cable I pay just under $70.00 a month. I know of people down in the twin cities that get 20Mb Up/Down for $40.00 a month. Sadly they are the only cable company in the area holding a monopoly so it seems they can charge whatever they want. I have been with the internet company for over 5 years and if there was another company in the area I would definitely switch, but since there isn't, in order to get cable internet I have to stay with them. I am hoping one day they do get better, but for now I haven't been too happy.
    I have tried two different modems over the years and plenty of routers but none have seemed to help. I have lived in three different places (2 apartments and my current home) and the internet has always been bad. And what I mean by bad is I never get the 5Mb is says, and more often then not the internet speed drops to below 1Mb, yesterday through today my download was at 0.01Mb and upload at .31Mb.. My upload is faster than my download, but both still aren't very good for the price, especially when I live in a home that was built in 2007, so I know the wiring is up to date.

    Caring Transitions
    When faced with the task of liquidating my mothers possessions we really didn't know how to proceed.  After reading several horror stories about estate sale companies and preparing a screening process we began our search. I won't waste space with details, but we encountered everything from "slick" salesmen who acted like they would be doing us a favor to absolute dolts. It was frustrating and very disappointing. Eventually,  A ratings from the Better Business Bureau and Angie's List led us to Caring Transitions (and Jeff Belleau.) We couldn't be happier about having hired Jeff. He is as forthright, competent, and professional as anyone could hope for.
    Jeff called me after an initial inspection of the property, and we visited for at least an hour about what they had found. He explained how Caring Transitions works, and what I could expect to happen if he was hired. Jeff is very articulate and continued to be an excellent communicator throughout our relationship. A detailed proposal was sent within a couple of days. We reviewed/discussed the terms and sealed the deal.  From that point on, Jeff and his crew took care of everything. 
    As mentioned above, they inventoried, priced, and sold virtually every item in the house (including my mother's car.) I received frequent e-mails about items they found particularly interesting or valuable. Jeff occasionally called to ask for an item's history to share with an appraiser. It quickly became clear that his team was conscientious about pricing. About 200 photographs were posted online and the sale was well advertised. I went to the house on the day before the sale and was amazed at the amount and quality of work that had been done. Everything looked great!
    Fast Forward.... The sale yielded over four times the gross sales that other companies had estimated. I have no doubt it was the thorough preparation and advertising that made the difference.  Within a couple of weeks I received a final statement that reflected the original proposal and a check. Expense receipts were attached, and there were no surprises. I should explain that the $1,800 listed above included a set up fee of $650, but the remainder was paid to other vendors (newspaper, junk hauler, cleaner, etc.) We also paid a 30% commission of gross sales that was consistent with our market.
    In summary, what began as an intimidating and worrisome task, turned out to be an effortless and interesting experience. We made a good choice with Caring Transitions and found a great partner in Jeff Belleau.
