Remodeling Kitchen And Bath reviews in Stillwater

Shawn Palme did an amazing job with the bathroom. I cannot recommend him enough!! Truly a 10 out of 10!!! Some of what I very much appreciate about him include his attention to detail, his communication (daily), and his work ethic. He managed the project schedule and budget like the pro he is - always punctual, always cleaned up the site before he left for the day, and made sure I knew what to expect at each and every step. He had to correct a previous contractor's framing, add more, and add drywall to the walls and ceiling plus install the fixtures. His finishing is flawless. No drywall seams anywhere in the bath can be detected at all, even when trying to find them! It's as if the walls went up in one piece!! Everything about the project is typical Shawn - perfect.

Andy did a great job adding the new wiring and outlets and disconnecting all the old wiring. The work was done professionally and we are excited to have the new working grounded outlets in the bedrooms. Prior work to run new lines to the second floor during a previous remodel a few years ago allowed this work to be finished quickly without additional demo. Andy was proactive in thinking about the future when working with us on our earlier jobs. We appreciate that in a contractor we consider a partner.

Paul and Suzy have been absolutely wonderful to work with from day one! Construction begins this Thursday, and so far, so good. They are extremely honest, fair, and professional. I can't wait to see our finished project!

Ever since we moved into our house over 12 years ago, I've dreamed of remodeling the kitchen. At first we thought we might manage ourselves, but after doing our research, we realized we could never get the space we wanted without professionals. We signed up for info last summer and followed up with an appointment. Chanda and Jim came to our house to discuss what we wanted, take measurements, etc. The actual construction, which included removing the wall between our kitchen and livingroom, floors, cabinets, ceilings, and all finish work, took about six weeks. It wasn't cheap, but the outcome was worth every penny. Chanda and Jim communicated regularly; I can't imagine them doing anything better for our needs.

They did an excellent job!  The sales person Chris was very friendly and completed the estimate at the first appointment!  Will and his team did an excellent job communicating with us on the project and answering all my questions!  We had them install a new tub, tile shower walls and floor.  The tile turned out beautifully!!!  In addition, they replaced the bathroom door and worked it nicely into the existing style of the house!  The final project was beautiful and nicely done!!!   Andrew from Homestead followed up on the entire project and expressed the company's commitment to customer satisfaction and quality assurance on the project!  Thank you everyone at Homestead!

He arrived on time and worked quickly and efficiently.

Everything was cleaned up and nothing was left behind. He gave us tips on cleaning and care for future and told us not to sweep or use the cabinets until the following day to ensure the finish dried completely.

He also sent us some info on how to prepare ahead of time. We had to clear the countertops ahead of time (tarps were put on counters and floors to protect them). But we did not have to remove things from inside the cupboards and drawers which was great.

    The results exceeded our expectations!

We were contacted by Craftmasters early in the summer, saying they were following up on a sales lead. We couldn't remember contacting them, and it turned out that it was from something we signed up for at the MN State Fair three years ago (?). Weird - why are they only calling now? However, we have been thinking of remodeling our bathroom, so we decided to have them come out anyway.
The first appointment was for a Friday evening (6/19/15), when someone was supposed to discuss what we wanted to do, take measurements, etc. The guy did not show up. When he was 30 minutes late, I started calling them. Finally I got a call that he couldn't make it, so we rescheduled to Monday, with the promise that they would take $250 off our bill if we went with them.
A different guy (Ron) came the second time, and he was on-time. He was OK, but a little "sales-pitchy". We talked about ideas; he took measurements and was going to put together a bid over the next 2-3 weeks. We were also getting bids from a couple of other places, which they said they encourage.
Over the next several weeks, Corey called a number of times to schedule someone to come out and review their "super detailed" bid with us, but wanted to make sure we got the other bids first so they could compare it to theirs. It took a while to get the other bids, so we finally scheduled someone to come out on Thursday, August 27th. They called to confirm the appointment the night before. About 45 minutes before they were supposed to arrive (of course, AFTER I cleaned the bathroom), they called to cancel. Apparently they were short-handed because of the State Fair, etc. They rescheduled for today, Thursday, Sept. 3 and said they would give us $400-500 off our bill if we hired them.
I cleaned the bathroom again today (9/3/15) to get ready for them. They called 18 minutes before they were supposed to arrive to say they would be 30 minutes late. When they finally arrived, it was a different guy (Juan instead of Ron) and he asked us what work we wanted done. What?!?! Turns out, Ron had left the company and they didn't have any of his notes, so there was no bid prepared and they would have to start all over. We were stunned! Why didn't they tell us this before they came and wasted our time again? We told them to forget it. If this is how they operate when they are trying to get the business, I cannot imagine what they would be like once the work started.
To review, we had four appointments scheduled with them, all of which we made time for, cleaned ahead of time, etc. Two of those times they did not show up. Once they came as scheduled. The last time, they were a half hour late only to tell us that they would have to start all over. The only "good" thing out of all this wasted time is that I got my bathroom cleaned much more often!

Brian Posch brought a high level of creative thinking in both the design process and utilizing best practices to minimize waste. Both projects were executed in a timely and well-organized fashion with very high professional standards in both workmanship and manner of communication. From the design phase to the final finishing, all aspects of the work was first rate. The financial side of Posch Builders was also well managed, beginning with a very detailed proposal of all the work that was to be done and an itemized accounting of the costs. All financial aspects were executed with utmost professionalism and courtesy.

Brian Posch kept a close eye on each phase of both projects, thereby facilitating that the respective time lines would be met. This was somewhat challenging, as we were living out of state during the work. However, because of his acute eye for detail, his preference for high end materials, the mastery of his subcontractors, and the integrity of all the people in his company, we were never concerned about the outcome. We were confident it would be exceptional . . . and it is.

Todd performed excellent work on all of our plumbing needs. He was very responsive to calls and he exhibited a professional demeanor at all times. Several of our plumbing issues were not easy fixes, but he tackled them and when completed, I now feel that I will not have to worry about any sort of recurring problem.  I appreciated Todd's reassurance throughout the frustrating process of dealing with so many plumbing issues after moving into our home, and his knowledge of plumbing and years of experience in the field are quite evident. Also, the pride that Todd takes in his work exceeds anyone I have ever dealt with in the past.  I would not hesitate to recommend him to anyone looking for plumbing services.
