    Customer service/office personal dropped the ball and costed us $500 by not filing paperwork to Utility Company for rebate. As far as installation, it went well other then they took our thermostat and furnace filter without permission.

    Service was good, installed timely, worked clean and seemed to know the product. I had a new water heater, toilet, garbage disposal and a outside faucet installed / replaced over the course of 2 years. I spent approx 8000 for these things. My furnace had cracks in the heater core. The quote the have had been between 5 and 10 thousand. I received another quote for 4000 and went with them. I touched base with the owner and never had a straight answer to why the quote was so ���vague��� or so high for a town house. I now wonder if I paid 2x the cost for all the other work done and because of that I would never call them or recommend them.

    Do not use this service if your work is covered by a home warranty like American Home Shield. The owner Paul will treat you bad. He has a poor attitude and is very incompetent. You would be better to forgo using your warranty and just pay a quality HVAC company. Save you time and headache. The parts for my AC were ordered and received last week. Scheduled 4 days later to install between 2-6pm. Shows up at my property at 4:55pm and tells me I have to reschedule for another day because he forgot to bring the parts with him and since it was 5pm it was too late to get them. INCOMPETENT!!! Threatens to sue me because we are posting bad reviews for the way we were treated. Sorry your incompetence is not my problem. You did not provide your service as you stated in the time frame you agreed to. Meanwhile you read other reviews where Paul is working pat 10pm to fix non-warranty calls because they pay more $$$$. Don't say you were not warned

    I had several concerns that were addressed by Mike, the manager. After some of the issues were resolved, we decided to move forward with the installation. Thomas M. was the lead installer and he did a great job installing & replacing the new furnace and air conditioner. He cleaned the work area, listened to our concerns, and explained/educated my wife and I on the newly installed units and functions of the entire air conditioning and heating system. Thomas and his crew made every attempt to be patient with us and answer all questions. Mike, the manager, stopped by to make sure we were satisfied with the work and the crew installing our new furace and air conditioner. Mike also helped me with a window replacement. I would recommend Thomas and Standard Heating & Air services to anyone looking for a thorough installation, quality equipment, long parts & labor warranty (11 years), an organized & clean look, and quality service.

    I am providing an update to this review. I received a call from companies owner and was patient to hear what I have to say. Explained in details in their billing practice and apologized for scheduling discrepancies. He also refunded $200. That was a grand gesture made to correct previous overcharge and I appreciated that very much. I thought I should take time and provide this feed back and revert my review for excellent responsiveness and work. My experience with Hoffman Cooling & Heating was a disaster from start to end. I called them on Friday morning, I received a call back at noon scheduling me for Saturday with $89 initial visitation price. I waited Saturday till 2:30 and called them to see why no one showed up. I was told there is nothing on their schedule but they can set one up but it be $129 cause its Saturday. I somehow convinced them about how I scheduled it previous day and quoted price of $89. Thankfully they obliged to send a repair person for that agreed price. He (Joe) showed up and replaced a Capacitor. I asked how much that Capacitor costs, I was told it is $316. He sepnt about 15 minutes and charged me a total of $405.83 ($316.83 for part and $89 for service). After he left I Googled the replaced part GE 97F9833, it was available on Amazon for $19. I promptly called them and asked why I was charged $316.83? Especially conning me thats how expensive that part is and it is hard to get it from factory and such. I understand someone charging me for part & labor. If they told me part is $50 and we charge labor $1000 per hour I would have hired someone else. So simply put, if you want a honest business that charges you a fair price go somewhere else. I definitely not giving my business to these greedy people.

    The project went flawlessly from the initial contact with the sales representative, Rhod, to the installation of both pieces of equipment by Josh and Eric. Rhod was quick to respond to questions that I had initially before deciding on their product which was a Daikin furnace and air conditioner. The installers arrived as promised, worked tirelessly to remove existing equipment and install the new equipment. The electrician works for one of their companies and he arrived early in the day to complete his work. When the guys were done installing, the furnace was working like a champ and the workers had done a great job cleaning up after their work. We did hear a slight buzz when the furnace fan was running and a call to their service dept. quickly remedied that problem. Great service all the way around. We would definitely recommend this company and the employees noted above.

    Service Today!
    The customer service has always been good and professional. We had them replace our furnace and A/C May 2017. The install process was very fast but we have yet to have the level of functionality with either the a/c or furnace we had prior to the replacement. We decided to do the replacement due to the age of the appliances and some fire safety concerns that were discovered in the servicing of the appliances. I feel like the technicians find something that should have been done at the initial install every time they have been out here. I will only continue to use this company until my appliances work. I would HIGHLY recommend any one looking to hire this company to do more research on the type and size of the A/C and furnace they put in the home. I feel they sold us based on price and not want was best for our 4000 sf home; paying $13,000 is too much money to not being able to be comfortable in your home!!!!

Although the work ended up turning into a service call rather than the expected tune-up, communication and options provided were great.

    Very professional, I gather several quotes, I went with the middle offer. They showed up on time, laid drop cloths from the front door to the basement. Removed old furnace/AC and installed new. They told me it would take six hours and it took six hours. They also spend some time with explaining the new system which really appreciate. So far all works just fine.

    I called Mike and he scheduled a technician for first thing the next morning. The technician arrived when expected and quickly located the problem, a dirty sensor. My heat was restored in a few minutes. The technician also did a good inspection of my system and took photos of the furnace information for future reference should I have problems again.. a very nice touch. I definitely would call Genesis for any future work. Being new to the area it was great to have an Angie's list reference for these repairs. Genesis lives up to the superior ratings they have received from other customers. I will call them again for any future HVAC issues.
