    I can't tell you anything about them because I was in the hospital when I used them. They did the job I asked them to do. What I liked is I was not here but they left in my door a list of everything they checked and everything they did. They made recommendations which was wonderful. That let me know of all the things. They were just wonderful. They were here. Even though we weren't here, they followed through. They even sent me a message which I missed that they were going to come out at 9 in the morning. When the person's not available and you still communicate with them, that professionalism to me is an A. They could have just done their job and moved on but they didn't. I loved the way they handled it.

    We always called them eve troughs on the farm, but now that we're in a town home I guess I've got to call the rain gutters. We thought we needed new gutters, but the people at Home Pro told us they could fix our existing ones.     This will be my first-ever negative review on Angie's List, but this was an extremely poor experience. The first problem was the supposed $250 credit that was to accompany the gutter inspection and clean-out offered as an Angie's List Big Deal, which I purchased on September 20, 2015. I needed a small gutter section installed on the back of my garage, so I thought the credit would apply to that. When I was later told the the credit only applied to gutter covers, a product for which I have no need, I discussed the issue with ARC and we mutually decided to cancel the Angie's List Big Deal, for which I received a refund.
    I will take responsibility for the misunderstanding on the Big Deal, even though I looked specifically on the Big Deal description for limitations on the coupon before I ordered it and did not see any (it has since been added to the deal description). No worries, though, and we agreed that I would still consider ARC to do the actual gutter installation I needed.
    ARC sent out an estimator within a day or two to look at what I need for gutters and gave me a quote for the work. When I talked to both the estimator in person on-site AND Antoinette at the main office by phone, I was assured that the work would be performed during the next week and a half (September 23rd to October 3rd) while I was on vacation. We had even discussed arrangements for me to pay for the work by credit card upon my return and inspection. When I returned, the work had not been done. Antoinette told me that they needed to order the parts. I didn't understand why, after a week and a half, they had still not even ordered the parts, much less performed the work as promised, but I didn't make an issue of it.
    A week later, on October 9th, Antoinette called to say she had finally ordered the parts (fully two and a half weeks from the estimate!), but that she couldn't get anyone out the next week, so it would be the week of October 19th. Antoinette called again on the 16th to confirm that they would be out on Wednesday or Thursday (October 21 or 22). 
    The final straw was that the week of October 19th came and went without any contact whatsoever from ARC. Therefore, I sent an email on the morning of October 26th (today), more than a month after the estimate and initial order, telling them that I was cancelling the order. Not so amazingly, and no doubt stimulated by the email I sent, I got a voicemail from Antoinette late this afternoon saying that the parts were being delivered today and that they would do the work on Wednesday. I called back to tell her that, as I stated in my email, she should cancel the delivery. I got the same excuses and promises I had heard in the past--that it takes a while to get the parts and the work would be done later this week "Wednesday or Thursday"--but I no longer trust that they will do what they promise and, for that matter, I'm now questioning whether their installers will even perform the work properly, judging from how poorly their business is run in the office. 
    Had they told me up front that it would take a month to do the work, I would not be as displeased with their service. It would behoove them to understand that a professional business sets customer expectations appropriately instead of making promises they cannot--or will not--keep. Frankly, I will take my business elsewhere to someone who treats their clients with professionalism and takes care of them as promised.

    They arrived on time and very professional. Discovered our downspouts on the back of our home were slanted towards the corner so was not draining properly and they repaired with no extra charge. Very pleased!

    Gutter Maids Gutter Cleaning
    I called Gutter Maids on Thursday May 31 to ask about cleaning the gutters on my house - two and a half stories high and a steeply pitched roof.  No way I was going up there!     Brian was on a job when I called, asked for my address saying he would look at my house using Google Maps and call me back with an estimate.     He called back with an estimate of $150 which I knew was reasonable from previous estimates I have received, and said he could be out the following Monday around 10:00 am.    Brian and his business partner arrived a few minutes before 10:00 am and promptly got started. Working from ladders and the roof, they finished clearing out the debris and flushing dirt and grit out with a hose in around an hour, and did not leave any debris in the yard.     I did not know they also did tree work but noticed they were towing a large trailer with tree trimmings in it and decided to ask if they would be willing and able to also haul away a considerable amount of brush from a number of large bushes I had cut down.  He agreed to do it for an additional $50, half the price of renting a chipper or saving me from having to cut them up small enough to put out with the yard waste recycling, so I considered it a bargain.     They promptly hauled all the brush from my back yard, loaded it into their trailer, and took it away.    Brian and his usiness partner impressed me honest and reliable, and did a very nice job.    Definitely consider them if you have a need for one of the services they provide.

    Howie was very knowledgeable and had pointers for other areas to help us with some of our water issues. When the high winds in the fall unsettled some of the gutter system, he came out and fixed it right away. He also took care of some sagging soffit wrapping that had been plaguing us for a couple years, and didn't charge us for his work. We will definitely recommend Howie and call him again for our future needs.
