    Blue Painting
Terrible process from beginning to end. Max provided a quote and promised quality work. Sub contractor (not Blue employee) started job (late), then left for another job, and returned and finished the job late so I was not available for inspection. Many missed locations, painted rocks, damage to gutter downspounts, paint on maintenance free window trim, sections missed on chimney, overall poor to below average work. Not a pro painter, he was a farmer who does this on the side. After denying second 1/2 pymt, Tony shows up and promises to make things right. Returns multiple times to finish the job, which seems ironic given they were 'a few small issues', replaces the damaged gutters and leaves the old ones laying on the side of my home, which are still there. Then threatens legal action if I don't pay, (then sent a pre-lein notice within 5 min of me originally bringing issues to light). Then when sending the final invoice as I am 100% over dealing with them and what I owed isn't worth legal fees, they magically tell me there is 3% fee to accept a electronic pymt. They did however offer to give me a discount of $150 dollars if i promised to remove a negative review and sign a statement that I would not leave any other negative reviews, which I declined. This is not company to due business with, go elsewhere. What they say and promise and what they deliver are not connected.

    WOW 1 DAY PAINTING Southwest
Mike came within two days of my calling him and gave me a quote. Ours was considered a "small" job and several painters had declined to even give me a quote so I really appreciated that he had no problem quoting and doing the job. We scheduled the job for about two weeks out. I elected to get the paint myself but he was willing to paint match the existing trim for me. He told exactly how much paint to get. Two days before, I got an email reminder that they were coming and what the scope of work was. A crew of 4 arrived and did all the painting in 2 hours. They were completely professional and did a great job. They offered advice when I asked about how to do the contrasting colors. None of my plants or patio concrete was damaged and everything was completely cleaned up at the end. It was a really stress free painting experience. I highly recommend them.

Mitch returned my call in a few days and came right out to do a free estimate.  He was booked at the time but said he would return in a few weeks to finish the job, weather permitting.  He did call back and scheduled a time within the two week window.  He was delayed for the first appointment but promised to comet that next day, which he did.  He was in and out within a couple of hours and did a fine job on the larger cracks.  He was also amenable to filling a few more cracks that I spotted.  The repair looks solid and we should be able to paint next spring.  I appreciated the referral to the business that supplies him paint so that we can do the paint ourselves.  He was very kind and did a fine job.  I would recommend him to others.

They were very prompt in returning my emails and seemed at ease communicating via email unlike many contractors.

The bathrooms we had done were ready for remodeling and I did indicate there would be some mud work for these walls.  I would give initial (see below) quality of the mud work a C.  There were a couple areas in one bathroom I thought should have been finished better.  However, most of those were covered with items so I didn't worry about it.   The second bathroom had a paint ridge from older painting and a sheet rock seem that was very obvious.   I discussed this with them and they were willing to work on it but I decided to move on.  In the end, the job was less than the estimate.

I decided the professionalism and quality were good enough for me and we had them come back to do the bigger job of the kitchen, living room, stairway, family room and fix the bathroom.    Our living room is vaulted off a 9 foot wall and the stairway is at the peak so it was a job I wasn't willing to take on.   This all included a fair amount of mud work it all turned out really well.   They did the job for the amount quoted and included painting our front door which wasn't discussed previously.

A couple minor nit-picks.  On the first job I noticed them washing equipment.   First, I wish they had asked as I would have pointed them to the downstairs sink which is the worst in the house vs our remodeled laundry room sink with a cambria counter top and nice sink.   Secondly, I indicated no paint should go down our drain as we have a septic/drain field.   They listened and stopped, and before they even started the next job indicated they wouldn't be washing their equipment on-site.   Its not a big deal but I do wish contractors in general were more aware of taking care of houses with drain fields.

Finally, the order of their tasks might have been better.  As they worked on the bathroom re-do last, they seemed a bit rushed waiting for mud and paint to dry.   So much so they forgot to remove some tape and clean up carefully.

I don't want to end on a negative though.  I thought they did a great job on a difficult house (vaulted ceiling, walls that needed mud work).   They did the jobs for the amounts quoted or less.  I would use them again.

    Roncor Custom Rebuilders
iThis is the fourth time in 19 years that we have used Roncor and each experience has been excellent. They are very competent and professional. I have recommended them to friends and family members. Their follow through is outstanding and their final billing has been as expected.

I went into this job expecting just a basic new roof including replacing underlayment and shingles.  Chris Miller and his crew went above and beyond with not only replacing the shingles, but explaining to me how code has changed over the years, and provided me the correct solution with ice and water protection across the whole roof based on my pitch.  They also added a drip edge for extra protection, repaired vents, and even provided a can of paint to color match all existing roof structures that I had previously painted another color.
My favorite part of the experience was that Chris asked the right questions about the interior and moisture problems with my tongue-n-groove cedar ceiling.  He and his team identified a ventilation problem with the roof, added a ridge vent, and I am happy to report that my moisture problem is gone.  I didn't even bring it up.  He just had the experience to ask the right questions and offer up the right solution.
    Wonderful experience!

    Paint Mode Painting Company LLC
Steve was great.  He called before he arrived and helped me pick out colors.  Steve and his team painted the whole main level, and a bedroom upstairs.  There had been several layers of paint from the previous owners, but his team cleaned it all up and painted over the mess.  He repaired some sheetrock issues in order to make they smooth and clean lines again.  His price was wonderful and the work was fast and clean!!!  Thanks a bunch, Steve!!

Todd came out several times to give me estimates as my number of rooms changed. Explained areas that I wanted estimated out. I had concerns about some dry wall taping problems that we had near ceiling and some textured ceiling cracks/nail pops in other areas. I had a certain paint product in mind due to family allergies and concern with VOCs. Todd came over with a few paint color testers for me to decide on what I wanted to go with.Todd was very professional and was accurate on pricing and concerns I had. He worked for a whole week in my home with his business partner and another painter. They were great working around our families schedules and concerned about safety of my two young kids. Cleaned up every night and was good about communicating with me. I was very pleased with the results.
