  • They did a great job. It looks amazing.
We did a remodel and wanted a more contemporary, updated railing. Anchor came to our house, discussed options and provided an estimate (we had some ideas from their website). Their price was fair an in line with competitive bids. We communicated with Adam mostly and he's friendly, responsive and professional.
We asked for a certain design they had done previously, but with a different toprail and handrail design. They adjusted their designs with a modest increase in the overall cost. They also had swatches for the different colors of powder coating available, and helped select the color.
After the design was signed off on, they came out for final measurements (we had to get our new flooring installed first). Then about 7-8 weeks later they arrived with our beautiful railing. Along the way Adam communicated timing clearly with us. Installation was fast and they were careful not to scratch our floors.
Overall they were very easy to work with and the end product looks great. Ideally I would have preferred waiting less, but in the end it was worth the wait. Anchor is busy these days, but that's because they do great work.

  • We found  the company through Angie's list and then reviewed their website, where we found many pictures to review.  We found what we wanted and Shawn came to our home to discuss and measure.  He  was very personable and  knowledgeable and provided us with  diagrams  showing what the  railing  would look like.  We discussed our concerns about  snow removal  off the  front step railing, which  included vertical  posts and a bottom rung but were reassured that there would be enough clearance to go underneath.  We waited about four weeks for production and installation.  We were very happy with the  color and construction of the railing but noticed  after it was installed that the slope  of the rail going down the  3 front steps seemed too steep and barely cleared the concrete.  We sent a picture to Shawn and then talked with him by phone.  He  explained that  the diagram we were given  was never meant to be exact and that  there were "codes" they have to follow  ( no more than 6" between the step and the bottom of the railing, I think).  I wish he would have discussed this during our first visit!  Also, there are pictures on their website that  clearly don't follow this "code".  I think it should be  standard practice to inform the customer,  before installation, if there will be a variance in the  expected look of the railing.  I also had to ask about the advertised  10% senior discount  posted on their website.  We  do like our rail but were disappointed  in the process and outcome.

  • I had a great experience with Matt and Bartley.  From my very first phone call to arrange for an estimate to the installation and finishing of the steps, Wieser Company gets an A!  I came home from work one day and I noticed my neighbor had gotten a new step put in.  It looked great!  I asked my neighbor about the contractor and he said he would be happy to provide their info.  He made it very clear that his experience was painless and highly suggested that I get in touch with Wieser to get an estimate.  When I asked him how much it cost him to replace his step I didn't believe him. Having gotten some quotes in the past, I needed to hear more about the process.

I called the office and Emily was right there to help!  She was able to answer most of my initial questions, but said that Matt (the owner of the company) would be able to answer all of them when he came by to provide a fee estimate.  Sounded good to me!  Matt showed up on time and eager to help.  He examined the steps and was able to provide an estimate immediately.  Upon hearing how the process works and seeing my neighbors shiny new step, I signed up on the spot.  And, I couldn't be happier I did.

Matt showed up with Bartley (employee of Wieser Company) on time to complete the installation.  The installation went incredibly smooth, they cleaned up after themselves, and the cost was exactly as estimated!  The final product looks amazing and will definitely add to the value of the home.  I can't believe it took me so long to find these guys!  My steps have been in disrepair for years! I highly recommend Quick Steps for all your concrete needs!!!

  • I received bids from four of the top rated metal companies to replace an old railing on concrete stairway that had rusted out.  We had a number of projects being completed at the house to meet city requirements for renting it out.  Accent had the second highest quote we received of the four, yet they gave a timeframe for completion of four weeks for the custom design we provided, which was the shortest of the bid companies.
They came out to install the railing somewhere around the 4-5 week point, but they had errors on the original measurements so the railing didn't fit the steps.  This resulted in them taking the railing back, correcting the problem, then waiting for the powder coating to get done again.  The process ended up taking around 7-8 weeks total.
Other than the punctuality aspect, they did an outstanding job with the railing!  It looks just like the design we sent them, and the quality is excellent.  It looks great!  Given the end result, I wouldn't hesitate to recommend them to anyone.  They were easy to work with and produce a quality product.

  • Mike made improvement suggestions that reduced the cost while maintaining aesthetics. Since it was a small job, he did the work on my word and I paid for the items when I picked them up. They were well made - good welds, square and true, and excellent powder coating. The work was done on time and I was completely satisfied.

  • I had a front step railing that had rusted out at one of the supports, making it dangerous to use. I reviewed Angie's List and came upon Anchor. I called them and explained the situation. They came out to look at the railing  to provide an estimate. Their estimate had 2 options - remove, repair, repaint and re-install the old railing for $300.00 or replace the railing for $385.00. I decided to replace the railing and made the appointment. Since this was outside, I did not need to be there.
On the morning of the appointment, the old rail was there and, when I came home, the new railing was installed. According to the paperwork, they recycle the old railing, which pleases me.
I was very pleased with the work. I had no interaction with the workers, but, from the quality of the work, I have no complaints.
My interactions with the 'office' staff was pleasant and they were helpful.

  • When we bought our home 20 years ago, the railings on the front steps were somewhat wobbly, but usable.  Last winter, after an ice storm, my husband slipped and grabbed one railing -- it broke.  Time to replace them!  We saw Anchor Iron's display at a home/garden show, with an Angie's List sign displayed.  We checked them out on Angie's List online and contacted them.  Mark Roberts came out and took measurements and showed me the optional designs.  I did not check out any other firm -- their ratings and reports on Angie's List were enough for us.  The new custom railing was ready in the promised 2 weeks.  Mark's dad (I forget his first name) came out to do the installation.  He was prompt, on time, and clearly knew what he was doing.  The job was done quickly, and the railings are very, very sturdy.  No fears grabbing them now!

  • It was great! He came by within a day to look at the space, I had an estimate and picture within two days, and even though he said it would take a couple of weeks, the gate was delivered and installed within 5 days - 8 days start to finish. He was professional, prompt, courteous, cleaned up, and knew exactly what I was looking for. I thought the price was very reasonable. He was sympathetic to my need for things to be done quickly - I had a new dog who could escape our gate - and the gate looked better than I expected. I'd absolutely recommend them!

  • O'Brien was by far the most reasonable of a number of bids we received, they were very responsive and professional, and the work they did was very high quality. Without charging us a penny extra, they re-welded a loose portion of our existing railing. If we get around to re-doing that section all-together, we'll definitely be calling O'Brien again!

  • Fabulous results. The railing was well anchored into the cement; it looks neat and there were no drilling errors. The railing fits the area perfectly and gates swing smoothly. The color of the powder coating was matched the color of the deck beautifully. The durability has been excellent - no nicks, bending, or loss of powder coating on railing. The people in the office and those that installed the railing were pleasant and professional. I received a call from the office after the job was completed to make sure I felt the job was done well.
