Basement Waterproofing reviews in Saint Louis Park

After the spring melt and a couple of torrential storms, had water coming into my basement underneath 2 window wells. It was seeping up from under floorboards in finished area of basement. Rob came out for an estimate ... I appreciated his experience and expertise. Talked through many options ... new window wells and regrading of the entire north side of house made the most sense. Included moving river rocks, which led to a not inexpensive estimate. Scott and his "A" crew came out and made super quick work of the project. I couldn't believe they knocked it out in just a couple of hours, but seeing is believing. I'm confident they've taken care of my water issue, but will update this review if water returns in the basement. It was a good investment to a problem that was keeping me up nights.

Hired Tony to fix a ground water issue in my basement. He was always prompt with phone calls, email. He had to come back a couple times to correct the problem, each time was done under warranty. When we had a large rain fall a few months later I was still getting water in the basement, his crew came again and had to do a larger project for additional cost, but it did fix the problem. Was always impressed because when I came home it was hard to notice that any work was done because they were so neat doing their work.

This was the third time we had Jay out for work at our house. We've been replacing a collapsing retaining wall section by section. This is the third and final section. While he was out, we also had Jay give a recommendation for solving our wet basement issue. No sump pump or existing drain tile, all water came down a hill and had problems making it around our house. He dug a trench and installed drain tile around one side of the house. The gutters downspouts now feed directly into drains and get funneled around the house. So far, so good. Basement is dry. Of course, spring thaw will be the true test. If you're considering a retaining wall with natural boulders, definitely get a quote from Jay. He's the best and has a passion for the work, unlike many landscapers and retaining wall specialists. We love our wall and have gotten tons of compliments. Looks awesome once flowers, vines and perennials start growing in it.

I worked with Jerry and he was extremely responsive and patient with my many questions/clarifications.  Their prices were actually slightly higher than some others I received estimates from, but I felt more comfortable with his approach....more matter of fact, experience based, flexible...not trying to "hard sell" me like some of the representatives from other companies.   They did what I would have thought would be a full day+ job in 5 hours...he has perfected an efficient process/team.    Clean up was excellent, he showed me the status at a few points in the project.  I feel confident in their work and would highly recommend to others.

A tech came out and examined the house for settling.  I am concerned about that because there is a crack in my kitchen ceiling.
He inspected the inside of the house and did some measurements and leveling in the basement and found no settling.
To deal with the excess moisture in my basement, he recommended a powerful dehumidifier.  However, I already have one, so I didn't buy one.

I was not very happy with the fact that they were providing services that we're not really needing. The advertisement was about being able to help people with problems with foundation assessment or inspection. I was looking for someone who can actually help me to potentially redirect certain pieces of concrete for my foundation. They were a company focused on providing basement solutions. The actual advertisement was not accurate in terms of the deal. I paid for a quote and that wasn't very cool. They're professional.

It was informative and very thorough.  Recommendations were made, but we did not feel pressured to buy anything beyond the service we purchased through Angie's List.  We will follow up with the recommendations and we would definitely use this service gain.

We were very impressed with the quality of the product, the installation, and especially the installers and the salesperson we talked with. They were extremely knowledgeable about the products, helpful, and personable. Everything was done on time, there was little to no dust left in our basement(even after they jack-hammered through our concrete floor). We would definitely use them again for any basement drainage work.

    Standard Water Control Systems Inc
Overall, this went extremely well. Even though it took awhile to get the work completed, estimate was performed in August and they were not able to schedule the work until mid March of 2015, it was definitely worth the wait. This company has a great reputation and the quality of their work shows. We had another plumber out prior to the install and we mentioned that we were getting a sump pump installed and they asked if we were using Standard Water. It just confirmed that we picked the right people to do the job.
The estimate process was very efficient and informative. Prior to the actual install, especially since there was such a long time between estimate and install, the company called to confirm the date at least twice.
The actual install was great. They did a quick walk through in the beginning to make sure there were no questions and confirmed the placement of the sump pump and drainage pipe (and back up pipe). They started around 9am and finished around 4:30pm. They easily blocked off the upstairs to prevent any cement dust from getting upstairs. The next day, the team who finished the cement work was able to get in early (upon request) and were done before 11am. After another walk through at the end, everything was done and I just needed to wait for the cement to dry.
Great people who work there and they do really great work. Highly recommend them.

    Drew Gardner Concrete & Waterproofing
Drew was helpful educating us on how it all works (sub-pump, drain tile). He was responsive and completed the project quickly. He and his crew were very respectful of our home and cleaned up nicely at the completion of the project. He was very thoughtful, too, in making sure our 2 boys would be awake to see the cement truck deliver the concrete and letting them leave their handprints behind!
