Asphalt Paving reviews in Roseville

  • It worked out good. I wasn't real familiar with what the price should be. The quality was very good. They started a little later than we wanted, but they kept us informed about that. I would use them again. They were very helpful. They ended up doing a very smooth job with concrete. We had blacktop before with a lot of cracks and problems with it. This ended up very smooth, but it could just be the nature of concrete. I don't know if it was their particular expertise or not.

  • Absolutely great! They did an outstanding job and were very easy to deal with. We even made a few last minute changes and it was no problem. The quote was rewritten and it all went according to plan. Very satisfied with the communication and everyone at the company. I will use them again and recommend to my neighbors. Thank you!

  • I chose Sealcoating Plus from the other choices on Angie's List because they pay attention to cracks. My service was scheduled for the next week, the team showed up right on time. Really great attention to detail--trimming the grass, cleaning the driveway, patching and sealcoating BY HAND. My husband and I were really impressed and I'm going to tell all my neighbors! Even the cost was reasonable, compared to other providers. I highly recommend this service.

  • Are driveway was old & in bad shape there was and old elm tree by the driveway and the roots tore up driveway. Steve made it look new again and we are very happy with the work. We agreed on 2" overlay but because the driveway had bad stop he had to go 4 to 6" in stop at no extra fee

  • I did not know if my driveway could be seal coated or if I needed a total replacement so called Dave and asked him to give me an estimate. He came to my house and said he would be able to seal coat it but that I had to remove the self adhesive asphalt repair fabric that I had put down over the years. He scheduled the job for about 5 days later. I removed the fabric and discovered that I had a crack that was at least 3 inches wide. I called him on the phone and left a message as to what he would be confronted with when he came to seal coat my driveway. When he arrived to do my driveway, he informed me that he had brought a bag of 'cold mix' to fill that large crack. It did not take him very long to seal coat my driveway, even with filling the cracks, less than 45 minutes..

  • entire driveway was cleaned.

entire length of driveway was edged on both sides.

all cracks were filled with filler

seal coat was brushed on entire driveway

barrio was placed at end of driveway to prevent traffic on new seal coat

everything was completed by phone because I was unable to be at the site at the time of application.

    excellent job handled professionally

  • I initially called them for an estimate, and was asked if I knew the size of my driveway. I took some measurements, and emailed them later, and I was quoted a price of $179. I agreed to the price, and asked to be put on their schedule (supposedly 2-3 weeks out). I didn't hear back from them within a day or 2, so I sent another email, and then they called me right away and told me that they'd be in my neighborhood the very next day and could do my driveway then, if that was OK with me. I agreed, and they arrived when they said they would (although I was not home), and did an excellent job. The only downside was that I think their weed-wackers accidentally stripped some of the paint from my garage door trim. When I brought it to their attention, they were very apologetic, and refunded me $20 without complaint. It was very easy to work with them, they had the lowest estimate of the 3 that I received, and I'm very happy with the work they did, and would use them again.

  • Steve provided the estimate and did the actual work with his partner Dexter.  My driveway is aging but I felt that it could survive a few more years without replacement if it has patches and a professional sealcoating. Steve carefully explained the process, made a few suggestions,  and explained the limitations of the patch work. He suggested an asphalt overlay for my cracked garage apron and this came out as a beautiful improvement. Normally they spray on two coats of sealcoat material, but because of the proximity to my light color stucco on my house , they did this work by hand to prevent overspray-I like that!

Over the years I have coated my driveway myself a few times and I know what is involved with the work-prep, crack sealing and material spreading .It can be hot and back breaking work, and the weather can be factor-no rain expected for awhile and that doesn't happen that much in a Minnesota summer.  I may have paid a little too much, but given the I think I got good value  considering the cost of top notch materials (even at Menards on sale), prep work and the asphalt hot patches and apron work, which I could not do myself. Steve was easy to deal with, and work was  done exactly as he described int he time frame he said. I would recommend these guys to anyone considering this work and afraid of being scammed-they were honeat with me.

  • They did the job and seemed to really take seriously issues such as drainage etc. They were out to check on the grading before paving and decided it needed to be re-graded in areas. Workers were easy going and open to any questions we had. Would definitely recommend.

  • Earth Wizards knows their stuff. I got about 5 bids for this job and they were the only company that proposed a complete solution to my problem that made sense to me. Other companies either left something out that Earth Wizards recommended or proposed to do something that seemed inappropriate for the job.

I wasn't home to see the work being done, but two of my neighbors who are home during the day went out of their way to comment (unsolicited by me) on the quality of the workmanship. They both commented on how particular the work crew was about getting everything level and just right. One said, "I've never seen a crew roll a driveway so many times!" Real nice people too. I had this collection of walking stick sized tree limbs out back that I use to tamp down leaves. The guys left me a similar size pole from my fence that they ripped out. I never mentioned a word about what this stick collection was all about! They must have just thought I'd appreciate having it.

The driveway looks beautiful and now when it rains, I can see the water flowing in the right direction. They are not cheap, but I think they charge a fair price for the quality of the work. They were in the ball park of the other highly rated, well established companies who bid. I also got bids from some bargain priced outfits too just for comparison in terms of the solutions proposed. All in all, I highly recommend them.
