Concrete Driveway Installation reviews in Roseville

The work was done as scheduled; the new cement looks very nice but the edging looks awful. Dirt was removed to install the shoring and then taken from the property. Said dirt was not returned leaving a gaping edge along both sides of the new cement and a walking hazard. When asked if the dirt would be returned their reply was 'they don't do landscaping'.

We replaced the top 2/3 of our concrete driveway. The bobcats, etc. that ripped out the old concrete wreaked havoc on the bottom 1/3 that was not replaced. They offered to cover the bottom 1/3 with a skim coat product called Ardex. It looked terrible so they did it a second time. Although better, it still looks bad. The color is inconsistent, brush marks are very visible, and they spilled some on the main driveway. It just doesn't look professional. The day they came to cut in the expansion joints (which are not straight) in the upper 2/3 section, a three-foot crack appeared. They tried to patch it, but it is still visible. The last time he came to our home, he offered no solutions. I find that quite surprising since their paperwork says "Your Satisfaction Is Our Goal". I'm not satisfied but they did nothing else to address my concerns. He did reduce my cost by $500.

They removed the garage siding 3' up from the bottom plate of the stud walls to allow shoring planks
to come through the sheathing. They strategically raised the garage to
allow them to pull the old concrete out and lowered it after completing the new floor. They also
patched the sheathing and re-attached the siding.
They tore out and disposed properly the existing garage slab and apron.
    22' x 18'
They installed a Floating Garage slab. The perimeter was 12" in depth and beveled up
starting at 12" in from the outer bottom edge. It was beveled into the main
garage floor which was 4" thick throughout. The thickened perimeter
    had 2- #4 re-bar continuous and the garage floor had a 4' x 4' -
#3 re-bar through out. The concrete was poured with a #4500 mix
    design.
The existing asphalt driveway was removed and disposed of properly.
They poured new concrete at 4" thick using a #4500 concrete
mix design. This mix is a MN DOT certified road, curb and sidewalk mix
design. There was a 4' x 4' re-bar grid through out the entire slab to help
prevent the concrete from separating and also there was Buckeye Fibers,
which will help prevent shrinkage cracks. The day after they poured, they
saw cut expansion joints. There were no sections that exceed 7' x 7'.
After full cure out ,28 days, they applied a top grade concrete sealer
called Tri-Siloxane; this sealer has a life of 4-6 years.
They also put in an 8" circular sidewalk/entrance to the entry door in the garage.
They started and finished on time. This is the 3rd time we have used them. Obviously we recommend them highly.
Job was completed 7 months ago.  We are fully satisfied.

I can't say enough as to how impressed I am with Marty and his crew!!  Marty was right on time in coming to our house for the initial proposal as to the cost and scope of the work to be done.  He noted a couple of issues with the garage interior cinder block which needed repair and noted how much the garage concrete pad had settled over the 30+ years since our home was built.  These were items other concrete company representatives did not note in their inspection of the work needing done for their proposal.  This is a good example of Marty's attention to detail which showed again and again once the work began.  The proposal was actually prepared in the summer of 2014 but due to other remodeling projects I was having done on our home in 2014, I asked Marty if he could wait until the Spring of 2015 to do the work.  He accommodated my request with a very, very minor adjustment to the proposal price even though I would understand an upward adjustment to the price would be necessary for increases in material and labor prices over an almost 10 month period between the original proposal and the time the work was performed.  This demonstrates to me Marty's fairness in pricing.
When the work was to begin, Marty said they would be at my home at a certain time and sure enough Marty and his crew arrived right on time to begin.  As a young man, I was raised and worked on my dad's farm and also during college worked for three different construction companies for a summer job to earn money for college.  From those experiences I observed different work ethics and can say Marty and his crew have an amazing work ethic.  I watched the work off and on during the project and noted that each member of the crew knew his role exactly.  No wasted effort and seemingly continuous motion.  Marty was here at the project at all times working with the crew and managing things on an overall basis.
An unexpected rain caused some problem with the appearance, as I would describe the problem, with a portion of the concrete pour.  Marty fixed the problem the rain caused, at his expense, even though it would probably have been fine as is.  Marty refuses to do less than first class work!  I can't imagine anyone with better attention to detail or anyone who strives for more quality in their work than does Marty and his crew.
In conclusion, Marty is really easy to work with and began each day of work when he said they would begin work.  The trucks and equipment are top notch indicating attention to detail in terms of the benefit of having good, reliable equipment for the job.  His crew is the same he has had for years, and is very respectful and again top notch.

Mark's estimate was almost 1/2 of the other 2 I received.  We live in a  townhouse development and the Association was very concerned about damage to the lawn.  Mark stipulated that his crew would only use wheelbarrows to move dirt and concrete, so there would be no concern about a "bobcat" tearing up the lawn.
Job was done quickly, professionally and with no harm to the lawn.  We were very satisfied and would highly recommend Endurance concrete.

They did an outstanding job on my garage and driveway.  Not only that, the entire crew was extremely professional and courteous.  Even after a neighbor mistakenly, and maliciously, criticized them for something they had not done, Mr. Fleischhacker remained polite.  My driveway looks superb, and I highly recommend this company.

The crew was on time and went right to work. Tearing out a concrete driveway is a noisy process and is impressive to watch. The first day was spent preparing the site, sloping the grade properly, and adding base material and rebar. They poured the concrete on the second day. They were very neat and left our driveway area clean. They planted new grass and left extra dirt and seed. We are delighted with the result. The only downside was all of the concrete dust that covered everything in the garage. This resulted from sawing the garage apron. Goodmanson is not cheap, but they do quality work and have a good guarantee.

Potential over runs were discussed eg fabric layer may be needed, depth of cement being removed.  When asked re cost of those items, we were told would be in $100s of dollars not $2000+.  No satisfactory explanation was given why charged for extra inch of layering,  Completely unsatisfied and no recommendation will be made to this Shoreview neighborhood

Endurance Concrete did an excellent job for us.  They did everything as agreed and on the day promised.  The work was done professionally and efficiently.  The crew was friendly, courteous, and took a lot of pride in their work.  They did a lot of careful hand-finishing at the end that I really appreciate and that made the final product turn out really excellent.  I will not hesitate to recommend them to my friends and family.

Both crews (concrete and blacktop) were very professional and performed great work.  It was obvious that each crew had experience with its members and worked well together.  I am very pleased with the preparation and execution performed by all.
