  It went quite well. While it took several weeks until is was done and all the issues were resolved (the door didn't fit, the outside corner boards needed to be reattached with longer nails/screws), Trevor took care of everything in a professional manner. He works in a conscientious and detailed-oriented manner and strives to find solutions that the homeowner can live with.

  He replaced a rotten piece of wood on a large window. He also used his superior knowledge to insulate under the window before replacing with new wood. He lacquered the wood and cut it it a perfect match. He did a beautiful job! A new window would have been many thousands of dollars. I am delighted he had the knowledge and confidence to tackle this project. He was extremely punctual and professional. I would consider him a woodworker for other projects in the future.

  Nitro removes snow from my driveway and sidewalks every 2 inches (they will come at whatever increment you prefer). They will also come by at other times as needed if you give them a call. They do a good job and are always friendly when I talk to them on the phone. I have used Nitro for about three years and couldn't get through the Minnesota winter without them!

  Overall, it's a good service. They did an excellent job of clearing the snow-better than other companies I have used in the past. They did come fairly late, which made it difficult to get out some days, however. Otherwise, a good and honest company that I would use again in the future.

  Ryan and Kara were extremely professional, prompt, organized, and performed exceptional quality work. They removed our original baseboard and casing quickly and installed the new trim tightly to the walls. In approximately two days, they completely updated the appearance of our home and cleaned up after themselves so that there was barely a smidge of sawdust anywhere. They were careful to protect our hardwood and tile floors as they worked. They answered all our questions throughout the project and communicated with us clearly about the schedule as they progressed.   In all of my encounters with Dustin, he was very professional, friendly, and easy to get hold of.  He was always punctual, showed up on time, and when he said he would.  When he was on the job, he was always working, and never loitered.  He finished on time, on budget, and was up front about what was necessary to do, and tried to save me money where he could.  He was very accommodating to my very curious daughter, and after he replaced the garage door, he was even kind enough to have the new knob rekeyed so I would not have to do it.  I also had a few baseboards that I needed to install from an unfinished personal project, and he did that for me at no charge.
       When you hire Dustin, he is the person that will be on site doing the work, and so if you have any concerns or issues, he will
  be there to answer.  This was the first time I had to hire a contractor, and was nervous about it.  However, Dustin really did a great job, and in fact I have hired him to do some more work.  I would highly recommend him.

  HAMLEN HOME IMPROVEMENT

  We first hired Trevor to replace some rotting boards on our house and paint the exterior of our house. As he was working, he noticed many more areas of rotting boards than we were originally aware of. He went over all of our options and helped guide us with his professional knowlege without swaying us with his personal tastes. He was very flexible with us and the timing of the project since it took us a while to make a final decision. The option we decided to go with was to have all of the original siding removed and replaced with new LP Smart Side wood composite siding. It's a good thing we went with that option because once the siding was off we found some water damage in the back of the house that Trevor needed to repair for us. He was very informative and helpful in this process, letting us know that it would be a good idea to have a gutter person look at this area to prevent any future damage as the gutters were installed improperly. We also realized that we needed to add new window flashing, also due to improper previous installation, and house wrap, which we asked him to do. Once the new siding was installed, Trevor painted the entire exterior of our house. He paid close attention to detail and was very thourough. He even made a great suggestion of a faux wood paint for our front door and garage door. We are very pleased with the new look of our home. It's like a whole new house! Trevor was always prompt and cleaned up any mess that was made. I never noticed any stray nails or paint. He needed to trim a tree to get to the house to paint and he even cleaned up the brush! He also helped us install new exterior light fixtures and door knobs/locks. I feel like he went out of his way to make our house look great! I would definitely use Hamlen Home Improvement for future jobs. In fact we will be having Trevor replace our roof this summer.

  David did a superb job for a rock bottom price! His carpentry skills are top knotch and his understanding of remodeling process flows is excellent. He appreciates the details of matching stains, hardware and succeeded - very high satisfaction with David's work results! He also has a great can-do attitude, yet is willing to bring up possible problems and tradeoffs the homeowner needs to know.
