Insulation reviews in Rochester

    Gary Kline Roofing Inc
We bought a 2 year old house in July 2015 and found it difficult to regulate the heat during the winter. We had an energy audit done and found that the can lights had not been sealed, the attic insulation was R20-30 and a couple rim joists were not insulated. Kane was thorough in quoting and explaining what needed to be done. The crew arrived when scheduled and left the house and garage clean. We had a question about something a week later and Kane stopped by the next day to check it out.

    Jim Siebenaler Construction

Jim did the bid about 3 months before the funding was approved for the job. He did well in keeping in touch about the schedule.

The storage units were built in the attic, but Jim still asked about details, checking in before installing walls that would have blocked the natural light from the window, which was much appreciated. The end result looks really neat, - the doors were naturally too tall for the units themselves, and cutting them off from the bottom instead of the top gives them an old-world look, with the knobs off-centered so they're lower on the door. Very good work and done in just two days.

JSC is a terrific company. I first asked for a cedar fence, after having Jim S recommended by a neighbor. The job expanded, as Jim's competence and fine subcontractors gave me the confidence to improve a 55 year old house. This involves every part of building a new house, frame, roof, cement in basement, insulation, electrical, plumbing. Tile, subflooring, sheetrock. More. Except, it is being done within a house. They must work around existing structures and utilities. It is quite impressive to observe. Neighbors and friends and other professionals are in awe.

    Justin Thompson Construction LLC
Justin has been the life saver of our recent 2 bathroom remodel. This remodel was an unexpected surprise to us - one we are having to pay cash for instead of the home loan we were planning on taking in 2014. After several extremely high bids from other general contractors we settle for a recommendation that ended up flaking on us, leaving our project in limbo for several weeks. We eventually tackled the demo and the first phase of the project on our own. Thankfully, we have a couple tradesmen that we've come to love and trust dearly. Justin was brought into the project by the recommendation of our plumber - and thank goodness too. He has worked at our place nonstop for 2 weeks, putting together all of our broken pieces. He isn't the general contractor that subs out the work - nope he does it all himself. Installing windows, framework, sub floor, insulation, building design, walls etc. He has been our saving grace and our project would have never been completed, or done correctly without him. He has our best interest in mind and has caught a lot of mistakes that he could've let slide - but instead has integrity and brought them to our attention - and then went on to fix them before sealing up the floors, walls etc. He continues to go above and beyond for us. He is always on time. He is always affordable. He is always honest. I'm so glad we have more projects in this house - because I look forward to keeping him around. He'll be the first person we ask before starting any project!!

Cameron did a very nice job.  He came on time, took before and after pictures of areas to be sealed.
The job was done well, and for the agreed-to price.  After he left, we had the utility company come back to do our blower test (necessary for the rebate) and we passed.

I tried to use Master Cleaners to remove old insulation from my attic.  Gary told me over the phone that I would get 50% off by using
his equipment to remove the insulation myself.  The next day he gave me a quote of $90 off a $390 job.  On the day of the job, he arrived an hour late, and took one hour to set up the equipment.  After starting, his equipment broke down.  Equipment breaks, I understand.  However, he was unable to repair the equipment in a timely fashion and I was on the hook for a $300 fee for dumpster rental.  All-in-all, I paid $300 for a dumpster that I didn't use, and I wasted a day.

Strong work...I typed a much more detailed explanation earlier but my computer seems to have burped, sorry! But overall experience was very good. I gave price rating a B only because I did not get estimates form other companies so I don't have much to compare it to, but pricing seemed fair for the amount of insulation my home needed and the amount of time it took the crew to complete the work.

We had this company perform an estimate to insulate our attic.  After obtaining multiple bids we chose this company to perform the work.  We contacted them to have them come but were informed that the person who performed the estimate was no longer at the company but his estimate would be honored.  Just to confirm that the work he told us we needed was still adequate I asked them to come take another look before the work was started.  I setup an appointment and the person from the company did not come.  I contacted them to see why they did not come and even wondered if maybe I wrote down the time of the appointment wrong and I never heard back.  Not professional behavior in my opinion.  I will never use them again.

They did an absolute superior job in every way. They were courteous, prompt and answered all of our questions. They also cleaned everything up and came back to check to make sure we were happy and satisfied with everything. I would highly recommend them to anybody.

    Rocky Mountain Insulation Services
I thought the service went well. They didn't really vacuum too well afterwards but overall, they seemed professional and had the necessary clothing. Everything went great except for afterwards when they let me know that they would not provide a receipt until after they cashed in our check. I didn't agree with this at all because it means it could take up to a month for that receipt to be provided. As soon as cash is surrendered, they should be providing you with a receipt. When I talked to them over the phone, they said they had to wait until they recieved their bank statement.
