    Anderson, Dr. Jeffrey L.
Both Doctors in this office are extremely friendly and knowledgeable. They take the time to explain what they are doing and why, which helps me understand what each test is for. They also have no problems answering questions. Appointments are always prompt and the staff works hard to get you in and out without any unnecessary waiting. They have always worked with me and my insurance without any issues. Everyone in the office is very nice, helpful and friendly so you do not have to feel nervous or uncomfortable. It is truly a quality service environment and I will continue to return to this office.

    Downs, Dr. Melissa
Very efficient. Dr. Downs and staff are very friendly and gave me good one on one attention. I was in and out of there clinic in less than an hour. The payment was fast and they had all of my insurance information, including applicable discounts, readily available. The ability to get a retinal scan is great.

    Rochester Family Eye Clinic
They were very nice, efficient and friendly. They had a good selection of frames. To make it better, they had someone that was really good about styles and they advised us on what glasses to get. The glasses work. I'm going back now o get my glasses.

    Anderson, Dr. Jeffrey L.
The exam was conducted very professionally and thoroughly. Dr Anderson
took the time to clearly explain what the results of the exam showed.
And he also was quite willing to answer some questions I had regarding
vision problems of other members of my family.

Two of the children's appointments went really well. One child seemed to have a assistant that could have cared less and didn't attempt to work with our three year old to cooperate during the appointment.

    Mayo Clinic - Rochester
I check in to the clinic and usually wait for only a few minutes. An assistant takes me to a room and gives me a quick visual exam, takes the intraocular pressure, and performs routine updates (prescription changes and so on).

Then I'm taken to Dr. Maguire's examination room. At that time, I prepare a hot compress for my eyes, which helps loosen the oils in the meibomian glands. Dr. Maguire then comes in and talks with me about my eyes, examines my eyes and eye lids, and tends to the glands.

Dr. Maguire is the first ophthalmologist to successfully treat my blepharitis and corneal complications, and reduce the number of days and weeks where I have to take lots of steroid drops and ocular antibiotics. He is patient, empathetic, and communicative -- I've learned more about my eye and eye problems from him than from all the other eye doctors I've seen in the past (at least 4 other ophthalmologists). The support staff is competent and, for the most part, friendly -- but it is Dr. Maguire's knowledge, treatment, and caring that make the difference for me. Highly recommended, especially for corneal problems and persistent blepharitis.

    America's Best Contacts & Eyeglasses
We went there because they have super sales where you can get two eyeglasses for $69.00 a piece. You get a free eye exam if you buy the two pairs of glasses. It was just basic glasses for $69.99 and it was only a certain selection of eyeglasses. My boyfriend was able to do that and he also got to choose out of different racks as well, but there was a slight upcharge. He got to pick the ones that worked well for him for his astigmatism, but there was a slight upcharge. The two pairs of glasses and the eye exam cost $226.00. A co-worker told us that she had gone to them once and she thought they were pretty good, so we tried them out. My boyfriend is just on glasses, but they do have a deal for contact lens users. You get 3 eye exams plus your glasses if you join the club which is $99.00. They do have reasonable deals for people that need contacts as well. You can also get boxes of contacts for $12.99. I read the sign, but I don't know much about them. They have really good deals. For the glasses they had a smaller selection, but it was a decent selection. It wasn't a horrible selection. With that he also got a one year warranty on both pairs. All the other places he's ever got glasses, they were delivered the same day. He wasn't happy with them because it took them 2 weeks to get his glasses. The doctor's chairside manner was decent. They were middle of the road as far as the selection. There was a lot of basic selection, but if you wanted something like a super flexible frame and so on, they didn't really have all those different varieties, but they had a decent selection. They were modern styles. He would go back there again next year.

    Mayo Clinic - Rochester
They have really good equipment there. They can automatically tell me what I am in for. Unlike other places where they suggest trying a lot of lenses, they have a machine which they use to check the eyes. It is marvelous. They have the latest equipment. The chair side manner of the doctors is fine. I usually have to wait for about 10 minutes before going in to see a doctor. They have a policy that patients are not supposed to be waiting any longer than 30 minutes, and I have never waited that long. It is easy to get an appointment with them. They are always doing things to make it more efficient. When I get my blood drawn, there is the same staff system too. Sometimes I get a slip that says I am registered and then they punch in to see what time I had called. They keep track of how long I have had to wait.

    Mayo Clinic - Rochester
All of the staff were very helpful and friendly. The physician seemed to be very knowledgable, and I trusted his expertise. He explained everything very well, and gave me written information about a newly diagnosed condition. I liked the department well enough that I will likely get my yearly exam there, while there for other appointments, rather than doing it at home with my local ophthalmologist.
