    Larry was great, he sprayed for bugs (mainly spiders) and took care of the pest problem - located how they were entering the garage and blocked the entrance so that no more could enter. He returned weekly until all the ones who had gotten in were removed! I would definitely recommend. This is the 2nd time I have contacted him and both times were excellent, I will defintely be calling him again for my next bug spray.

    We had a mouse problem in our house and he did a great job at getting them under control! It is just two women living in our house, so we of course did not want to deal with getting rid of them and out of the traps. Larry did a great job and making sure that he came back until all the mice were gone.

    We typically have Adam's out as the seasons change and in the past they have been able to resolve any issues we were having. This time, we are continuing to have issues after we had them out so I called to have someone come back because they guarantee their work. The problem is that they have to have the same technician come out so they have to schedule around their schedule, not yours and they don't do Saturday appointments. I tried to request a new technician so that we could get someone sooner, and when I was available to be home, but was told they would not do that. It could only be the same technician accompanied by a supervisor if there was a problem with the technician. The woman said I could get a different technician if the second visit didn't resolve the problem. So what was something that should have been resolved in one visit, has now turned into 3 potential visits at their convenience. The cost of their services are also quite high but we had luck with them so continued to pay each season for their services. Now we're wondering why we continue to shell out high dollar checks to a company that can't accommodate a basic request. If they can't resolve a problem on the first shot and aren't willing to be flexible to get it fixed, they're not worth the money, in my opinion. Also: they charge by square footage of your home but do not service the entire home. They only did the exterior and basement so using square footage of the entire home seemed a bit silly.

    We signed up for quarterly service and this is our 5th quarter. I knew that they were supposed to come out in May, but I wasn't sure when (they are always good about making appointments for me so I don't have to think about it). I e-mailed them on Friday 5/6 after hours asking them to move up my date since I saw the start of a hornet's nest. Becca Younce e-mailed me back late on Monday afternoon and said that they could move up my appointment to Tuesday 5/10 or Monday 5/16. I didn't see the message until Tuesday morning, and e-mailed back asking if they could still come today. She said she put me down for the 3:30-5:30 slot. Halley Gruber and another woman (assuming trainee) came right around 4 PM and I showed them the nests. Halley came in and treated for the ants, while the other woman started treating the hornets. 

    Halley has treated my house one other time and she was just as friendly today as then. She takes the time to answer all my questions and never seems annoyed with me (I ask a lot of questions). She told me they found one more nest than what I saw and that some of the hornets actually came out right by my front door (it is rainy today so they were looking for a cool, dark place). 

    We signed up last year and got a really good deal on their services, but I would definitely recommend them to friends and family looking for pest control no matter the price. They come out once a quarter and treat for all types of things. We moved in last year and had hornets and carpenter ants, the ants haven't been spotted this year and we are trying to keep treating the house so the hornets stay away too. Before we found (sales person walking around our neighborhood, usually we shy away, thank goodness we didn't) Insight, we used another pest removal company for the ants and wasps, and they came back within a month. Since having Insight Pest Solutions, the carpenter ants haven't been back, I've noticed a dramatic decrease in the amount of spiders, and the hornets keep finding new places on my eaves, but they treat them and get rid of them quickly.

    All in all, we are very pleased with Insight - the company, the product, and all of their employees!

    Insight Pest Solutions
    We really wanted this to work, but wound up having a lousy experience.  A college-aged sales person knocked on our door last month and gave us her spiel.  After doing a cursory review online for info about the company and its products, we decided to sign up (they do year-long contracts with quarterly treatments).  I should have been tipped off that the sales person couldn't explain how the products worked -- she said after the application, it takes two weeks for the products to reach their "full effect".  This makes no sense to me and no one at Insight I asked was able to explain the science behind this.  Anyway, it was easy to make the first appointment and the technician arrived on time.  It didn't seem to take him very long to apply some products inside the house beneath the sinks, and then outside around the perimeter of the house, and in our yard.  The biggest problem we have and what we wanted help with is ants -- there are two large nests (each about 2' x 3') in our backyard we wanted to get rid of.  The technician sprinkled some granular product on the anthills.  After waiting the requisite two weeks the ants were as active as ever, and we were also starting to get ants in the house, so I called back.  The woman on the phone was unable to make a follow up appointment for me, said she had to call the coordinator, and that she would call me back.  After 24 hours and no return call, I called again, and was placed on hold for about six minutes while a different rep tried to find someone who could schedule a follow up appointment for me.  She wasn't able to, so she gave my number to a regional manager, who called me later that afternoon and set me up with an appointment for the next morning, which she said would be with the same tech who came out the first time.  The next morning, it was a different technician who showed up (two of them, actually).  This is just another example of Insight under-delivering.  The techs applied two different products to the anthills and told me to wait a week.  After the week there was definitely less activity, but there are still ants present.  I got sick of not being able to let my kids play around the yard, and finally bought some Bayer insecticide, sprayed the crap out of them, waited a day, and threw some grass seed down.  Done.
    This company's products and service were really oversold.  The salesperson was really positive and had great energy, and that combined with the initially positive feedback we saw about Insight is why we decided to try them out.  However, my sense now is that they are using some sophisticated SEO so you see positive results when you do a quick google search.  The products they used didn't work well, and it was too difficult to schedule a follow up visit.  They show you a card of all the bugs their products work on, but if you read the contract they only really guarantee it to work on a handful of them.  Almost everyone I spoke to on the phone seemed young and not super professional.  It seems like this company is new to my neighborhood, and the infrastructure just isn't there -- local employees must be being managed remotely, or there's just a disconnect between the techs and the leadership.  The "regional" manager I spoke with was calling from Idaho (we're in Minnesota).  Must be a big region.  Anyway, like I said I really wanted this company and their products to work, but we had a pretty disappointing experience with them.  We're cancelling our contract, and I wouldn't recommend them at this time.

    Professional Pest Control Inc

    It's fall and we've recently seen and trapped a couple of mice in the house. Not unusual for this time of year, but the news reports have said that this years weather has caused an increase in mice seeking shelter for the winter. So after reading Rick's stellar reviews and seeing such reasonable prices I thought I would give him a call and nip things in the bud before they really got started. I left Rick a message about 1030am and he returned my call within the hour. He asked some questions about our home, built in 1994, typical suburban modified 2 story, and said he'd be happy to come out and take care of the mouse issue for $1,600.00. He said the service is guaranteed. I told him I was surprised at the price and he said that he's very busy right now and if it was at a less busy time he could "knock maybe $200-300 off the price". He said he needs to charge that much because if he has to make 3-4 visits over the next few years the travel time adds up. Note that in his company information he says there are no travel charges. I told him that we'd have to look elsewhere and he said fine and ended the conversation. Waste of my time

    We live in a wooded area and moles seem to like our property...A LOT!!! After we did some expensive landscaping to our backyard a few summers ago we noticed the presence of moles. We suspect we've always had them but after the landscaping, it was more obvious. We'd done the Rove system of baiting the moles with "gummy worm poison" to no avail. After doing my research on-line, I soon realized the only way to get rid of moles is to trap and kill them. So, to protect our investment in the yard, we decided to call the professional(s). Jeff came out and set traps for us in the fall of that year and we caught 5 or 6 right away. They seem to keep on coming though so we've been using Suburban Wildlife for 3 seasons now. Although it IS expensive ($125 set up fee plus $50 per mole caught) to have this service, the time and headache it saves us is worth it. At some point we may have to surrender, or be brave and buy and set the traps ourselves, but for now, I trust Jeff to get these little buggers for me.

    From the first phone call we made to Rainbow Pest Experts we knew we had the right company. We had never had to call a pest control company before so we did not know what types of services we might need. As we explained our pest situation, the company representative did a fantastic job of laying out the different services and costs. Based on the discussion it seemed best that we do a consulting type of service first that would help us determine our next steps. I believe that the representative's name was Jane and she was very friendly and very helpful.

    On the day of our appointment James arrived exactly on time and was very professional and also a really great person. He took a lot of time with us as he inspected our property. He took his time to explain things and answer all of our questions. It was obvious that he knew what he was doing.

    What I was really impressed with was that he did not pressure us into buying additional services and simply and clearly explained what our options were for our next steps based on what he found. He even presented options that we could do ourselves. I was very impressed.

    It is my impression from this interaction that this company is very honest and forthright and I felt that they were trying to help us with our pest issues and not just trying to sell us services.

    I will certainly use them again if the need ever arises!

    I wish Angie's List had an A+ rating - because Rainbow Pest Experts deserve it!

    We used TruGreen for one summer because someone was selling door to door and "a lot of our neighbors signed up". Our lawn looked fine while we used them but I wanted some shrubs sprayed for bugs once and was told that I'd have to add a trees and shrubs as a package to my current package. Nah! Once my husband was done with grad school we figured we'd try to tackle the weeds and fertilizer on our own so we canceled our TruGreen service. That's when the constant phone calls started. Each time I politely said "we're going to give it a go on on our own but if we decide to start back up we'll call you". The calls continued off and on for two years. I finally said that I was going to call the BBB to report harassment. That's when the guy (who called this time) said "oooohhh, I see you're on two different lists with us, that must be why you didn't get off our do not call list". What a bunch of B.S. I don't mind general marketing but having to tell no less than 8 people within TruGreen that I didn't want to be called, and that I would call if I wanted to start up again, was so infuriating. I will NEVER do business with them again. I've since hired a smaller local company which I'm probably paying more for but I trust that they won't harass me if I decide to take the job on myself.
