    Sears - Burnsville
They are good at what they do, their good at coming out and taking the old appliance away and doing the plumbing and putting the new appliance in and all that, they contract they don't have their own installers, they contract two installers you really can't say was this a good thing from sears because Sears didn't actually do the work they just supply the product and then somebody else does the work and you don't know who that person is.

The guy who put it in knew what he was doing and he did a good job.

It is a good dish washer but it is a little low for me so it's hard to get down into the bottom of it now that I'm older, it's quiet, it's nicely quiet.

We went in the most recent time to buy a vacuum. We had done our homework and had a nice Miele upright all picked out. Upon working with the salesman there he pushed us into a canister and kept saying how much better it was. We kept saying we wanted the upright, but he was persistent and unfortunately we were talked into buying the canister.
We never liked it and when we were fed up and asked about any type of trade in program for a basically new vac, they said they would only give us $50 for it (and it cost us over $1200 new with tax)! So buyer beware here as they up-sell you to make them the most profit - not customer friendly.
We've had better experiences in the past, but they do appear to train the salespeople to go for max profit and not listen to the customers needs. Watch for the up-sell.

The service person was prompt and evaluated/identified the problem.  He explained things very well and gave me a price for repair but also recommended that I consider purchasing a new dishwasher as the cost to repair my current dishwasher was quite high.  Explained and showed me some other problems with the dishwasher that while might not need to be repaired today, it would likely be a problem in the near future.  Elected to purchase a new diswasher, called the store to order one and they came out the same day to install.  There was no pressure regarding purchase of new dishwasher vs repair.  I was given all the information I needed to make an informed decision.   I will definitely use Tony's appliance for any future purchases.  From the initial phone call to the service call to the installation everyone was knowledgable, helpful and pleasant.

    LOWE'S
We are in the process of remodeling our kitchen. I saw a local ad with what appeared were excellent prices for Lowes so decided to go look/order them. We got to the store on a Wednesday night around 4:00. No one offered to help us. We looked around the store and found the appliances we wanted to order on our own. The only sales person around was helping another customer and didn't appear to know what she was doing. We were finally approached and asked if we needed help. We said yes, we'd like to order several appliances (total over $5,000.00). We said we did not want the only sales person we saw but guess what, that is who we got. She wrote down the appliances we wanted to order and then proceeded to the computer. She spent over 1/2 hour (not exaggerating) trying to input 2 and quot;installand quot; orders for the dishwasher and microwave. I then asked what she had on the computer wondering why my other appliances were not on there. She said these were install items that had a charge. I said and quot;whatand quot;? I didn't know there was an install fee. She said yes, $200.00 for the microwave and $170.00 for the dishwasher. The prices of the items were $199.00 for the microwave and $299.00 for the dishwasher. I said this is ridiculous, turned and walked out the door. WHY were we not told about these install charges when we originally said we wanted these appliances? Why did it take over 1/2 hour just to enter 2 items for install. I have never been so frustrated in my life. She must have asked my husband for his phone # at least 5 times. No one seemed to know what they were doing - very incompetent. This was the Shakopee MN store. In all fairness, we had dealt with Lowes of Mankato before and had OUTSTANDING customer service in that store. I will never set foot in the Shakopee store again.

They preformed everything as planned.  Arrived on time and installed and removed old appliances.  They even moved the refigerator that we kept to the lower level for us!!  We had one minor issue with the range, not their fault it was a manufacture defect, we contacted Heather our awesome sales associate and she had them fix the problem right away!

Buying everything was fine even though I did have to go to the front desk to get someone to help me. The guy was nice and got a quick deliver date. I left happy. Install day came and they were 3 hours past the window time and I had to call to find out where they were. The guys came in with mud all over my shoes. When we complained one of the guys responded as and quot; What do you expect we are deliver guys.and quot; After some short tense back and forth the got back to work and installed the units and put the old ones in our garage. They failed to install the anti-tip screws. As a mother of a 1 year old I wasn't pleased.
The moment they left I closed the fridge door and the freezer door popped open and stayed open. The seal is bad! I called them and they told me I'd have to wait for a repair guy to come out and diagnose it. Might take up to 3 weeks for a repair. I don't recall buying a scratch and dent. When I get a new fridge I expect it to work or have it replaces in a timely order with one that works. I have wood floors so If I use that freezer and the seal pops open we are talking thousands of dollars in damage. I call customer service and the basically I'm out of luck. Do it their way... or don't have a fridge. I can't return because they charge to unhook, drive it back and a 25% restock fee.
I don't want to come off as one of those reviewers with a chip on their shoulder. I use to LOVE this company. I went to the same church as Carla, went to the same school as her children, and bought many times from there. The last time I bought a dishwasher. There was some issues after awhile but I thought it was bad luck... now I see that the quality and service is the issue. Thats a shame.

Jon at the Apple Valley store has a great selling style. He guide us through making a decision but never put pressure on us. We floated around from model to model comparing features and asking questions. Jon kept up with us as we bounced from one to another, without an ounce of frustration with our indecision. We ended up getting a sweet deal on a new washing machine paired with last year's model dryer for the price of just the washer elsewhere. He also showed us that we could get a 5 year warranty that even included replacement, if necessary, for less than our current CenterPoint plan that only covered the dryer and did not provide for replacement (which we had just experienced when our washer quit). They took our old washer for free which saved us from having to pay a recycler or garbage hauler to take it.

We purchased a refrigerator two years ago and I called last week to ask if I could take them up on their offer to take an old refrigerator away, which we had declined at the time we purchased it. He said "No Problem" and the next day they came and picked it up. The young men that came to pick it up were delightful. It could not have been a more positive experience.
