    Fair Repair and Remodel
Great service, very knowledgeable, honest, and gets the work done in a timely fashion. Work has included a lot of electrical, some landscaping (looked better than what a landscaping company did) and misc items around the house. Has done a great job each and every time. Highly recommend him to friends, clients and family.

    Better Yards & Gardens
Paul designed a attractive retaining wall system for a difficult area with a tuck under garage.  The crew worked quickly and efficiently.  They left the area clean and free of any debris.

He works with another company I'm using too.  They worked pretty steady through about three weeks in November, and in the Spring they will do all the plantings.  For now, it's part-way done.  I would tell people that they are very creative, good suggestions, and they finished what they needed to do on time. In the Spring we hope to have more grading done and some concrete work.  I need the driveway and a concrete parking pad done, and we'll probably build a workshop off to the side here.

They seemed nice and professional. We still haven't decided on using them. I would recommend them.

    Creative Curb Appeal
Mark was VERY helpful in consulting with us, learning a lot about OUR aesthetic, and helping us set a budget that we could live with. His crew was very professional and friendly, and worked very hard while on the job (I was able to see this first hand, since, at that time, my office was in our home). I would definitely hire them again.

He did a great job for us. He is very clean. He cleans up the sidewalks and doesn't leave grass laying everywhere.

We have a new construction home that we marked out where we want landscape areas to be, then it was sodded.   I contacted multiple area landscape companies (Family Tree, Treehouse, Jim Whiting's & Sargent's, plus one other smaller company) for design & bid information.  In our prior home, we had used services from both Jim Whiting's & Sargent's. The Sargent's designer came out to the home, asked for input and we had various discussions on plantings.  He provided, within a week, a hardcopy of the design with bid information.   Family Tree & Treehouse also provided the same level of service, but the Jim Whiting rep never gave me pricing or details (did provide pictures). I'm kind of a do-it-yourselfer and decided to purchase all of the plants and put them in myself.   We landscaped all four sides of the home, about 60 plants/trees/shrubs in total.   I picked up and purchased the plants (90% from Sargent's).   I used a bit of the ideas from all four of the landscape designs.  I did pick up a nice corner tree from Bachman's in the cities (had larger plant than what the Rochester providers had). The staff at Sargent's was great in helping me with questions, selection & loading.   I found their plants to be healthier, larger and quite a selection, when compared to all of the other Rochester providers.  I would say Whiting's had the second best selection (size, health, etc).   I felt like the plants at both Family Tree & Treehouse were smaller and less healthy looking. I spent about $2,000 for landscape plantings and would certainly recommend Sargent's.   I used a 3rd party for landscape fabric install, rock deliver, rock moving & concrete edging.   I'll review them, Outdoor Expressions, next week.

I don't think I could have had a better experience. This was the third company I had gotten an estimate from. The other two were very vague in their description of the work to be done, and lumped it all together on the form. There was no breakdown of what I was paying for and when I asked about it, couldn't really seem to give me an answer..what did the bricks cost? what am I paying for labor? I wanted to be able to maybe do some of the work myself and save some money, but they couldn't seem to help me, and the dollar amount they were telling me was just way more than I could afford. I didn't have a whole lot of hope for the third round, but I was pleasantly surprised when they came out to take a look. He was completely willing to work with me on keeping the cost down, and when he wrote up the estimate it was VERY specific, like I had asked. It was already THOUSANDS less than the other guys!! But I saved myself an additional $800 by laying the pavers for the patio myself. They made sure I knew what I was doing and even insisted on leveling and starting the center 2 rows for me to make sure I started right, even though that was not part of the deal and they were not getting paid for it...they were so helpful! It was back breaking work and at several points I thought $800 would have been quite reasonable for me not having to do it :) but when I did get finished, they came back out, cut a few bricks for me to fit into a couple gaps (their suggestion, instead of having to readjust an entire row to space out a gap at the end), which they also didn't have to do, but did, to help me out. As they were finishing up, they told they were VERY impressed by my paver laying skills :) I had done an excellent job, my circle was pretty much perfect. Not sure if they were just humoring me :) but i appreciated it... that was some seriously HARD WORK! They did a beautiful job on my front walk as well.. I have had nothing but rave reviews on the finished product, and I can't believe how much cheaper they were than the other guys!

    Design-A-Scapes, LLC
We are very happy with the job. Crew was punctual (early), extremely hardworking and courteous. Attention to detail was great, to include a very thorough clean up. A big plus!  We have worked with Design-A-Scapes in the past and have been impressed with their vision and ideas. They are great at selecting plants that thrive in Minnesota and combining them to provide interest and color throughout the year. We will certainly call them again. The only room for improvement would be immediate responsiveness. This in part is due to how very busy they are and that they are a small team. They would benefit from a super secretary! That said, they have always been punctual on "game day" and there have been absolutely no unexpected surprises or expenses.
